Welcome to Thursday! I think we’re off to a great start. Possibly. Perhaps a checklist is in order?

Awake: Yes.Dressed: As I do!Coffee: Duh!Hair: Finger-combed.Makeup: Not a bit!Engaged: YES!Ring: It’s there! I promise!Breakfast: Not so much!

That’s about where I am right now. But I stand by the claim: Off to a great start.

I woke up to a message from another creator who is passing through the area and wants to have a look at the new studio space. ( @elarevale.ai on IG ) Elara Vale is a Paris-based model who travels often. Her current journey includes a layover that will let us meet.

I’ve noticed her work on IG. Now I get a chance to visit with her and let her have a look at the new AGI Creative studio. If I can talk her into it, I’ll get her to model some, too.

Of course, I’ll share the meeting with you! Between now and then, I need to go back to that checklist and switch a few more categories to “yes.”

DELIGHTFUL MEETING

I mentioned this morning that I was meeting ( @elarevale.ai on IG ) Elara Vale at the studio to show her around. Well, I talked her into posing for a few pictures, too!

Elara is a Paris-based model who travels often. She was passing through the area with a long layover, so we had plenty of time to tour the studio and take some pictures.

Elara therefore became the first person ever to use one of the dressing rooms. By dressing room, what I mean—as of today—is a room with a chair and a door that closes! The studio is a work in progress… We have the lighting and backdrop systems up and running, but a lot more needs to be done over time.

Geoni and I both photographed Elara. She is a great model, and her IG page is really taking shape. I’m sure you’ll want to have a look and follow her ( @elarevale.ai ).

That’s it from the studio today. I’m pleased to say our first photo session not done just to test the lights was a success! Thank you to Elara for being part of it.

GUESS WHAT I FOUND by Min Aurora

I’m actually not talking about the hot dog and soda. And to be honest, this is my second trip to this Valero station’s Stripes store.

As a health professional, let me say that you should read up on the nutritional value of everything you eat before you eat it. Then, you can do what I do—ignore the facts and go with your taste buds.

My sister and brother-in-law are on their honeymoon. They are bopping from place to place around the Mediterranean. I think they hit some place in Greece, checked out Rome, and are on their way to Sicily.

I, on the other hand, am working. Trust my words, not my outfit.

Anika identified four possible locations for the clinic. My mission—check them out and make recommendations.

Here’s what I sent to her and Amir: “Three of them are dumps not fit to be used to store rusted auto parts. The former dental surgery office in Port Isabel is the one. I paid the lease application fee. You owe me.”

That is how Little Sister rolls. I’m a self-declared expert in triage, and that skill has now been extended to real estate!

Note—I did not mention how close the dental office was to the Stripes. Some things need not be told, right?

As we get ready to go in, I can’t help but feel like this is how a Thursday ought to end—in the company of good friends, your fiancé, and on the doorstep of great food and a relaxed environment.

I know not everyone can afford to go out to eat on a regular basis. But it’s more about spending time than money. Your doorstep—like many of mine—could be on the way to your own kitchen table. Your relaxed environment could be your own sofa.

Over the days leading up to tonight, I’ve felt a growing awareness of the value of slowing down. An unhurried dinner—even if it is air-fryer chicken and vegetables from a can—with friends can be a part of that.

Message to Everyone:

This post included a collaboration with another IG artist. As a practice, I don't include a "pay wall" when parts of the content include other creators. It seems like good practice.

Ailana's Journal has made it to Thursday and the artist/writer has not lost power. The snow has stopped, but the temperatures are very cold.

As of the time that I'm writing this, I think The Chosen and River City Connections has continued to have content each day. I'm glad it worked out. I don't have content for those scheduled in advance, but I should be able to keep things going.

It is my belief that most of you who help with the costs are doing so because you want to support the production process and show your encouragement. I am honored and greatly moved.

I know that I share a LOT of content FREE TO ALL. I'd imagine that you understand why. The stories about giving back and helping seem like they shouldn't be exclusive. Certain plot moments need to be understood by anyone trying to to follow the stories.
