OOPS? by Cindi Curtis

This is different. And not on purpose. And you have no idea what I’m talking about. And I’m sure I’m not the only person to ever do something like this.

I saw a “you might like this” ad on Amazon for some jeans. They come in sizes, but say they have some stretch, so I thought even if the size was off a little, they might be okay.

After picking the cut of the jeans, I did the little selector thing to get the size. I made sure the quantity was set to “1,” then hit “Buy Now.”

I forgot to make sure the color selector was set to blue. I ordered brown jeans.

I opened the package (they came in a plastic shipping bag clearly printed with the words “lighter than a box,” as if I wouldn’t know) to find brown pants.

A jolt shot through my brain. “You don’t wear brown jeans.”

I was right. Then I told myself to calm down.

Then I said to myself, “New year… new house… new life… wear the brown jeans and see what happens.”

So far it looks like the sun is coming up and the earth is still turning, so maybe everything will be fine.

My devotional thought (sans scripture): let your concerns be about things that matter.

Or as some guy I met a few times in college at the Lunchtime Bible Study would say, “Don’t sweat the small stuff and… yeah… everything is small stuff.”

I hope you have a good day!

Be your best you!

Thank-You Message to Paying Supporters:

It is my belief that most of you who help with the costs are doing so because you want to support the production process and show your encouragement. I am honored and greatly moved.

I know that I share a LOT of content FREE TO ALL. I'd imagine that you understand why. The stories about giving back and helping seem like they shouldn't be exclusive. Certain plot moments need to be understood by anyone trying to to follow the stories.

With that in mind, I always consider you, the paid members, when deciding how to share content.

My hope is that reserving a few pictures and small sections of the post for you is a modest indication of gratitude!

Thank you very much for your help underwriting the cost of producing AGI Stories content. You can be sure that your paid membership is valued greatly! At the time of this post (not counting hardware or internet connectivity fees) AGI Stories racks up expenses of just over $100 per month. Every supporter is helping!

Again, thank you very, very much.
