Chapter 78: GROWING POSSIBILITIES by Izzy Duffy

Yes, I am still at Crossroads, where I live. Also yes, I’m working.

Tom Jenkins decided to expand Crossroads into a Phase II. With that expansion, he’s doing eight more Stop-Gap Housing units on the fourth floor. My part in the expansion is really just to cheer things along.

Habitat Housing, the parent agency for Stop-Gap Housing, hired a wonderful woman named Melissa Gaines. She’s dealing with grants and a few other business details. She and I are also talking to the engineers and Tom about what will make the new units most desirable.

The great thing is that those engineers are Hannah and Merritt. They totally get the idea of Stop-Gap, and they definitely want to make sure it comes out great.

Speaking of great… Let me add one more thing. Kent. Yes, he’s great. I feel lucky every day.

Also great? Hannah and Merritt! When I found out they are trying the dating thing, my first thought was, “Oh? How did I not see that coming?”

Back to that part where I’m working. I should follow up on that.

Tom said he’d text me, and we’ll cross the street to meet with Melissa, Merritt, and Hannah to have one potentially final walkthrough before they move into drafting and come up with plans to pass to their boss for final approval.

Since I’m waiting on a text, I thought I’d check in.
