GOOD MORNING
Is it Friday already? Wow. The week has flown by.
Yesterday was a big day. If you missed it, I’d urge you to go back and have a look. The final result was that AGI Creative added Kaylee Branch to our model lineup and Naomi Prior has picked up a new client for her growing business.
It was a stretch for me, to be honest. I wanted everything to go to plan—mostly it did. I also wanted to make sure that Kaylee ended up with a solid lookbook. We covered a fair range of looks, mostly gearing toward what Naomi’s new client is looking for—teen/college age.
Jason and I got into a rhythm. That might have been the best part.
More than once he just grabbed my hand and squeezed it. “You’re doing great. Take a breath and tell us what we need to do next.”
That kind of support is something I think I’ve needed for a long time without knowing I was missing it. Yesterday made me all that much more excited about getting married. I just hope I can give as much as he does.
Today, I need to get some writing work done. I’m going to just chill out here in my condo and bang on the keyboard until I get to a stopping place.
I’m sure there will be something tonight. However, I don’t know what that will be yet.

WORK GOES ON
After yesterday’s project to build a solid lookbook in a single day, I’m looking forward to a day at the keyboard. I’ve already done some edits on a couple of my conservation articles. Now, I get to do some fun stuff.
I’ve got a little scene polished up for the new project I’m now a part of, so I thought I’d share a bit with you. The two characters are at a security workstation looking at monitors. After a few passes through the original work, here’s what I’m sending back.
Sienna zoomed in on the entrance to the home-pod tower building where a man seemed to be loitering. She recognized him and shook her head.
Luke noticed. “What are you seeing?”
“It’s that Evans guy protesting the Sundering again.”
Luke punched up the blotter app. “We should log it.”
Sienna reached for the microphone and began dictating:
“Begin… Event time… 2198 SE 30 05.98.15. Subject known as Carl Evans observed protesting outside a residential pod tower in the shopping district of Stratus Three. Reported by Sienna Rahman. End.”
“It’s hard to believe we’re thirty days past the spring equinox,” Luke said. “It feels like New Year’s Day was just yesterday.”
“Thirty days have flown by,” Sienna replied. “It’s harder to believe Governor Kenwood has these guys pushing to reconnect the AI matrix to the grid.”
“It’s even harder to believe enough people agreed with him for him to get elected in the first place.”
Luke shook his head. “When Stratus Four fell over, everyone said it wouldn’t have happened if the AI still ran the gyroscopes. Governor Kenwood’s latched onto that and is running with it.”
“This isn’t going to end well.”
I’m actually a little excited to be part of this project. Feels like it’s going to go somewhere interesting.
I’ll keep trying to share things with you as I can, so keep your eyes open!
I’ll be back tonight, so see you soon.
LEVELING UP by Naomi Prior
You might know I’m in the process of expanding my model agent business to broker a wider range of services and specialize in high-quality, rapid response delivery. So far, so good.
I’ve been negotiating with a couple of startup companies to provide everything they need for the client-facing part of the web sales portal. I’ve networked with a web developer who will layer their work over the enterprise parts of the portal.
My services will be to produce images and copy. And that brings me back to Ailana Geven and her AGI Creative group.
This morning, I signed a deal with a new teen/college fashion client called ACTionFIT. Their marketing plan is to cater to the young half of the Gen Z (born 2004–2012) buyers.
AGI agreed to do the copywriting work. Done.
For that age demographic, Jasmine is a good fit. I talked to her and Sasha about it and mentioned I’d farm a lot of modeling out to other models that I manage, but that it would be a plus if AGI had another, younger model.
“Trust me,” Jasmine said.
She’s less than half my age, but—funny—I do trust her. Since my first interaction with her, she’s proven to have great intuition and insight.
What happened next proves why I’m banking on AGI Creative—and Ailana.
The story that came to me was that Jasmine recruited her friend, Kaylee, to be a model. Sasha managed to create a set that looked like a Gen Z bedroom while Ailana paced Kaylee through a series of studio and environmental shots for a lookbook. Finally, they did more shots on the Gen Z–style set.
Ailana’s fingerprints were all over the day.
I had flashbacks to 2016 when Ailana was a sophomore in college on her earliest shoots, learning everything on the fly. I could tell Kaylee was eased through the process with grace and gentleness, and by the end of the day, she had a solid lookbook collection.
Ailana included a range of looks most models spend months to collect. I know she was the stylist, art director, and creative director for the day—and she also shot a lot of the images.
When I titled this post “Leveling Up,” I was talking about Ailana.
GOOD NIGHT
My Friday has been great, and I hope yours was, too. I got a lot of work done, then decided I should be social and get out of my condo.
Jason had texted several times to let me know about his day. He and Geoni were doing pictures for their stock photo catalogs, and he was keeping me updated.
When I got dressed, I went down to his condo where they had set up his kitchen like it was a state-of-the-art TV cooking show set. At least the part visible on camera.
As you do…
Camera on tripod, lights on stands, and Geoni holding a whisk, I could see the shot they were trying to capture. Jason was looking at the viewer and giving directions.
“Tilt a little. No, the other way. A bit more… Okay…got that. Now, tilt more. Got it…”
“Shall we turn on the burner and break some eggs?” Geoni asked.
“I think we’re ready for that.” Jason looked at me. “How do scrambled eggs sound for dinner?”
I accepted. By the time three plates of eggs were cooked, they thought they had enough, so we sat down and ate. We reviewed their shots and I have to say they were great.
I added one comment. “You’re in a photography lane I’ve never once been a part of. I love what you’re doing.”
Afterwards, we decided to grab Josh and take a walk. Now, here we are, enjoying the evening together with nothing particular to do in mind.
I’ll repeat as I started—today was a great day for me, and I hope for you too.
May grace and peace follow you through all your days, adding joy and meaning to all you do.
Good night.
Be your best you!

Message to Paying Supporters:
Been a busy week here! Hope you enjoyed the mini-arc with Naomi and her growing business. It was fun to build, and I'm actually not too far behind schedule!
One of the supporters made a comment about having a lot on the burners. That's true not only in the journal, but also the other storylines as well. Let's call it slow simmers that need to be stirred from time to time.
Here at the journal, so much is going on! I hope you're enjoying it. If I overlook any of the main people for too long, let me know. Your input means a lot to me.
And as always…
Thank you for helping support AGI Stories.
I always consider you—the paid members—when deciding how content is shared.
I believe that most of you who help with the costs do so because you want to support the production process and show encouragement. I’m honored and truly grateful.
At the time of this post (not counting hardware or internet costs), expenses run just over $100 per month—so every supporter truly makes a difference.
Nevertheless, I share a lot of content free to all. I believe you understand why. Stories about giving back and helping shouldn’t be exclusive, and key moments need to be accessible for anyone following the stories.
My hope is that sharing a few exclusive photos and small portions of some posts with you serves as a simple expression of gratitude.
With that in mind, again, thank you very much.
