CALL IT A SOLID START by Jordan Warner
Let’s recap? Seems fitting.
Last fall, I went to work for Michael Allen as an intern. That was going well, and the plan was for me to stay on after graduation.
Michael and Cindi happened. Too cute!
Michael got hired by Roman to do some branding and content rewrites. I got involved and met Hayes. Hayes and I became roommates.
My internship supervisor wanted Michael to take on another intern— Carter Ellis.
New Year’s Eve party… My place. Everyone invited.
Carter realized he and I were the odd pair—Roman and Hayes were pretending not to be a couple, but everyone knew they were; Cindi and Michael still happening, still cute!
Carter asked if I had “arranged things” so that we’d default to being a New Year’s Eve couple. I hadn’t.
That was five months ago. Carter and I made it to the full-on couple stage. When Roman asked Hayes to marry him (the wedding is happening in a month, BTW!), I told Carter I didn’t want to get a copycat wedding proposal.
Carter responded with a promise ring that I proudly and happily accepted! Boom!
So, now, he and I are at the “let’s meet at Chick-fil-A for breakfast” stage of the relationship. After we eat, he’s doing some errands for his mom and dad, and I’m going back to my apartment.
I’m going to make spaghetti sauce, and he and Roman are coming over this afternoon for lunch. After lunch? There’s a plan to find out what Cindi and Michael are doing, and then decide, but that’s as far as we’ve gotten.
The evening looks like this:
married couple + engaged couple + dating-five-months couple = relaxed and fun evening.
See you next time! Thanks!

Message to Paying Supporters:
Thank you for helping support AGI Stories.
I always consider you—the paid members—when deciding how content is shared.
I cannot say how much your support helps. Each of your contributions adds up and helps defray the cost of producing content. As of now, between donations here and Instagram monetization, most of the software costs are covered. Not quite all of them, but most…
Because of your generosity, I am able to keep going.
With that in mind, again, thank you very much.
