I’m a little behind schedule today, but it will be fine. Let’s get going!

How about this copy/paste from yesterday to recap…yesterday…

Hey, everyone! Good morning/afternoon/evening. Things are fairly routine around here. I worked on some code, updated some documentation, and suffered through a few Teams meetings. The best part of the day was hearing Michael working just down the hall. I had a few panic moments, but nothing that stopped me for long.

All of that… But also…

Roman called last night about the code-revision side-hussle (Jordan’s word) he has me doing.

“Cindi, this is working out great. I have…an offer. Feel like hearing it?”

Mini-panic: about three breaths.

“Please don’t try to get me to stand up front at the wedding with Hayes.”

He waited a second. “No, not that at all.”

Earlier, we had agreed I’d process in with her, then peel off into a seat on the second row. I was relieved.

Roman went on to say that my work on making his apps more scalable and universal—so that he doesn’t have to make little changes to customize the code for different customers—was really strong. He wants to know if he can count on me for ten hours a week.

“I’ll assign a coder to work for you, so you can farm out smaller tasks to him and maybe move things along faster.”

“You want someone to work for me?”

“Frame it as you wish. You create the sprints, and if he can handle some of them, pass them on.”

I said yes, but there’s more to talk about here!

When I brought this up with Michael, he smiled and pulled this up from BibleGateway.com:
