GOOD MORNING by Ailana Geven Keller

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was busy, but it was really good.

Today, I’m spending the morning with Meredith Sinclair, the author I’ve been working with on the Cloudfall book—or books, according to plan. We’re meeting at a coffee shop in the West Village near her home.

Meanwhile, Jason and Emily are going to do a bit more sightseeing without me. Then there will be lunch…

They’re going to Katz’s Delicatessen, which is one of those New York places almost everyone has heard of. It started on the Lower East Side in 1888, changed names as the Katz family became involved, and became Katz’s Delicatessen in 1910. It was also featured in When Harry Met Sally, so you may already recognize it even if you’ve never been there.

I talked to Sasha. Things back in SPI are going as usual. Kaylee has a modeling job on Wednesday, and Geoni and Jasmine will handle the shoot. I don’t know all the details yet, but I’m sure it will be great.

“It’s one big list of outfits from one company,” Sasha said. “Some company in Austin called Current Theory. There’s a note… ‘Limited-run coastal streetwear—clothes designed to move between beach towns, music festivals, cafés, and nightlife without looking like conventional resort wear.’ Sounds like some marketing person was busy!”

Whatever it is, I’m also sure Jasmine, Sasha, Clay, and Josh will do whatever is needed to make it happen.

That’s it for me. I need to catch a train or something. (Should have looked at the map already!)

See you soon!

NO SPOILERS by Ailana Geven Keller

I’m in the West Village with Meredith Sinclair. We’re brainstorming and figuring out the best way for us to continue working on the Cloudfall story.

When she’s not writing, Meredith—I should say Dr. Meredith Sinclair—teaches calculus at a charter school near here. She moved to New York City in 2025 after teaching at Chattahoochee High School in the Atlanta area from 1998 until her move.

“What prompted you to move here?” I asked.

She sighed. “After my husband died in 2023, the whole city seemed like a museum to our lives together. I never felt like he had actually been laid to rest, if that makes any sense. I kept… Well, he was a part of everything around me there, and I felt like I needed to let the memories rest.”

We talked about that for a few minutes, then moved on to discussing the writing project. Cloudfall has a collection on my Patreon page, and Chapter 1 is almost done.

“We’ve set the stage in Chapter 1,” Meredith said. “Now we need to get to the action.”

And I’ll add that there is a lot of action planned.

We’re not going to stress over how quickly we work on it. We’d like to make some progress each week, but we both have busy schedules. We’ll do what we can when we can.

But it was a great meeting. She outlined her vision for the series, and I’m on board with all of it.

We’re going to wrap up here in a little while, then I’ll catch up with Jason and Emily. I’ll be back tonight to check in, so see you then.

GOOD NIGHT by Ailana Geven Keller

Monday has come to an end, and I hope yours was amazing. I feel like it was a good day for me.

Jason and Emily also said they had a great day. They enjoyed sightseeing in the morning and said lunch was remarkable.

While I was with Meredith, Jason and Emily visited the 9/11 Memorial and the Oculus. They took their time and thought about what they were seeing and what it all meant.

I caught up with them after lunch and we visited the Empire State Building, then went to Broadway and looked around for a while. We had dinner at a Manhattan diner that tourists aren’t supposed to know about. Just good food in a place that feels like it belongs to the city.

Now it’s time for bed. I grabbed a T-shirt for the pictures, but otherwise I’m ready to call it a day.

We’ll spend tomorrow here in the city and travel back home on Wednesday.

Home… The last two months have changed what that word means to me. Sharing the condo with Jason and Emily has given the word “home” a bigger, deeper meaning. It’s not just a place to store my suitcases.

This change in the way I think has been going on ever since we moved to South Padre Island. My marriage to Jason and the life I share with Emily feel like the capstone to what started when I first took the keys to the condo.

I hope that makes sense to you…

May life give you times to grow, times to rest, times to help others, and times to look back on everything you’ve been through and see how you’ve changed.

Good night.

Be your best you!
