One More—from 2026-07-07

The trip, this time, required two nights in Singapore, a night in Kuala Lumpur, then two more nights back in Singapore. Hayes opted to skip Kuala Lumpur and remain in Singapore, which meant keeping the same hotel room instead of checking out and back in.

The time change was huge.By Hayes’s internal clock, it was 1:00 p.m. back in Memphis. In Singapore, it was 2:00 a.m.

But Hayes didn’t mind. At that moment, the time difference worked to her advantage.

At that hour, it was no surprise that almost everyone in the hotel was asleep. Hayes, however, was wide awake and wanted a soda.

The risk involved in a robeless trip to the vending machine just down the hall seemed minimal.

Most SPECIAL REQUESTS are inspired by ideas readers have shared, often as variations of moments, images, conversations, or character reactions from previous posts. They may include additional images, expanded story context, extra scenes, or a closer look at how a character responds to something in the storyline. In some cases, they extend the core storyline, and if so, they are shared with all members.Overall, SPECIAL REQUESTS should feel both visually rewarding and narratively relevant.
