In this recording both speakers were standing exactly 1m away centered at ear height, at the position I demonstrated before. This should allow for precise judgement of imaging, sound stage and also frequency response relatively to each other and caputre less of the room acoustics. I am planning to offer samples for various speakers using the same music for all. The speaker recordings will be compared to the original source as a kind of audiofidelity test. Those are harder to judge, as to the human ear the recordings will appear more similar when compared to the original source, than comparing recordings of 2 different speakers. I will post an example soon.

The Zeppelin is streamed through Wifi playing with default EQ, the Earfun is set to indoor+ to get a slightly broader sound stage in contrast to to normal indoor. In terms of bass response regular indoor mode would have been a better match for both.

These are the measured responses of both speakers from listening position (Zeppelin red, Earfun blue)

Curious to hear your analysis what you could hear from both speakers.

AudioTechniker

Aber sonst klingt der Earfun deutlich besser

Don’t like the treble of the B&W. More bass and also deeper bass on the earfun. Also soundstage is broader on the zeppelin. More overall definition in the uboom’s treble response

Wow the stereo imagining at 7:44 is way better on the B&W. It literally wanders around from left to right. Other than that earfun for 120$ is a crazy crazy speaker and is as good as the B&W

the woofer are tweeters are towards the edges, more separated than the uboom x, that's why it sounds more "3d"

The sound stage and broadness of the Zeppelin is the only aspect that really impressed me a lot. Aside of the tweeters being so far apart at the very ends of the speaker I assume they also add some other psychoacoustic effects although subtle.
