Just wanted to demonstrate how much impact slightly different speaker placement can have on sound. That’s why I decided to create an own „desktop mode” for the UBoom X to allow for a more flexible placement. Everything was a bit rushed at the very end, that’s why I think there may be still some place for improvement. Unfortunately I have no chance to work on another speaker, and this will probably never happen again therefore I can maybe convince Earfun to give me access to the DSP again and have another look at all my settings for some possible fine tuning and improvement, although I highly doubt they will let me.

I still have the latest firmware given by the app. Does it differ, or is placement just more important?

Hi Oluv, dont you still have the program on your laptop for tuning the speaker? Couldnd you just release another custom 39 firmware for us here?

Oluvs desktop mode is a really good replacement for the default studio mode in his custom 39 firmware. I compared them both on my two earfun speakers.

The whole procedure is a bit complex and I need a particular firmware to be able to connect to the software, also the licence needed usually expires after a while and only Earfun can request to compile a new firmware from the chip factory.

it would be great if you could work on the EQ again. why would earfun not allow it? they will not loose anything if you try to further improve it, right?
