For being marketed as studio headphones with portable reference sound costing close to 600€, the result is simply ridiculous after hearing the Neumann headphones for the first time. Only explanation I have is that they must be defective somehow. If all sound like this, I am sorry for those who wasted their money on them.

It's not faulty unit, NDH 30 is terrible sounding. I don't know for who is it made for. Who suggested it to you anyways? 😆

HD58x with Oluv EQ is the only one I would call great in my collection. Apart from that HEDDphone D1 seems promising you should check. And Sennheiser HDB 630 with PEQ you can make something good from it.

Only 5 filters and just 6dB range. But I am curious how they tuned it.

hdb630 are overpriced for what they have, anc is rather average, below sony or apple, sound probably ok but even with eq you cant make it as nice as nh1n

I disagree. Price is right for the hdb 630. Anc is not why I bought these. The sound is great, even out of the box. Soundguys did measurements on their 5128.
