How bad can a headphone sound? (Patreon)

I attached some quick measurements based on pink noise I played over all headphones inside the store. Unfortunately it was quite noisy, thus measurements in the bass area are quite unprecise. I also attached the HD600 which I didn't feature in the video, but I played pink noise to have some reference.

LOL, the guys at Grado sound department don't mess around with it..... each one of them is a rollercoaster response, which would be itself not something unusual in commercial segment, but what's even more surprising to me is that every single one of their headphones measures completely different. Do they even aim for some sound signature, or they're just blindly shooting out with every model and hope for the best?

Hey Oluv Wahrscheinlich hast du es schon mitbekommen, aber Teufel hat nen neuen Boomster rausgebracht. Sieht schick aus, aber leider gibt es den austauschbaren Akku nicht mehr. Vielleicht sind ja die klanglichen Wünsche in Erfüllung gegangen und er behalt auf maximal den Bass. Vorallem hat der neue Boomster Dynamore und kein Bassreflexsystem mehr und TWS, furzen dürfte damit schonmal weg sein. Vielleicht schickt dir Teufel einen zu?

Have you tried the Aeon RT closed or Aeon X closed? they are more reasonably priced. also people say the aeon noir is improvement over the closed 2.

Ich bin schon am verhandeln wegen eines Testgeräts, aber man mag mich bei Teufel nicht so, deshalb ist es nicht sicher ob ich was zeitlich bekomme

Ws990bt/anc900bt/sr50bt they are not "monitoring" headphone. For Monitoring headphone, use ath m50x/m40x.

Schade dass du die beiden Focal nicht probiert hast, die da noch hingen. Ich glaube der eine war der Clear, der hätte mich interessiert. Zumal du ja den Elex genannt hast. Für meinen persönlichen Geschmack liegen übrigens zwischen dem Anker (mit Oluv-EQ) und dem Sennheiser HD600 immer noch Welten, so wie ich das aus den Videos höre. Ich habe den HD6XX und mag es, wie er auch filigrane Details ausstellt, das geht für meine Ohren dem Anker ab. Ansonsten, interessantes, aber auch wirklich desillusionierendes Video.

That’s what I meant, if their monitoring headphones sound so bad, their “consumer” ones must be horrible I found not a single measurement of the ones you mention, thus I won’t buy any of these just for a try

Dee Clear Klang wie ein dumpfer Elex, der Utopia war viel näher am Elex. Clear MG war noch schlimmer. Eigentlich klangen alle anderen Focals nicht wirklich überzeugend

Hey Christoph, wenn dir der Q30 mit Oluv EQ zu wenig Detailiert ist, probier mal meinen EQ, der kommt so gut es mit dem 8 Band EQ geht oder ich das hin bekomme an den HD 560S ran. Das klingt dann offener und klarer und evtl. für dich auch etwas detailierter. Ich habe das Gefühl in Oluvs EQ ist der Sennheiser Veil mit drin ;) Probier mal: ANC Transport EQ: -max, +max, +3, +max, +2, +6, +4, +5

I have ath ws990bt, i think the sounds is great, that is Better than sony xm4/anker life q30,.. Ws990bt more detail, spararation, bass, I bought anker life q30, a month ago, the sounds was good too.

The moondrop aria was horrible. Definitely, hype train and the most janky cable.

The Kato shouldn’t have the same problems though, they completely redesigned the tips to avoid those 6-7k resonances. I may get one directly from Moondrop *fingerscrossed*
