No matter what kind of talented monkey feet you have, the lamp switch will always get the better of you.

I have noticed that about lamp switches and pullls.

Somebody is going to wake up cranky and on the wrong side of the couch.

When we moved in, we were a little... surprised that the prior owners took ALL the curtain fixtures with them took several months to find workable fixtures, including a stint with a failed IKEA "hanging wire" thing that DID NOT WORK our curtains still don't really match except the ones in the same room, I just got whatever I could find on clearance just to have something up until we got fed up with those

I screwed a small hook into the end of a broom handle. _Officially_ it's so that I can reach up and slide the curtains in my huge windows open and closed in a neat and tidy fashion. Unofficially, I use it far more often to enable my baser Want That Thing But No Wanna Get Up instincts.

She could just change in the dark with a tiny night light.

How does one room have EIGHT windows?! Even if it's a corner room, then four per wall *is* a lot. BUT, they should be close enough that a single curtain rod (like for a picture window) covers the entire length, so she'd only need two sets of curtains.

Kris's apartment is based on a real apartment that I almost moved into! The bedroom actually had 12 windows, but four of them were obscured by a hastily built-in closet. There were two sunrooms; the bedroom was one of them (three walls of just windows and a fireplace), and you'll see the other one a few chapters down the road. Kris's bedroom used to be more of a porch; take notice of the far wall (the only windowless one) in tomorrow night's update, you may catch a small detail that gives this away. :)

Wow. I'll pass on that room! If I was building my own house, I'd make it so that the master bedroom had NO windows in it, except for maybe some translucent glass blocks where the north wall meets the ceiling. Pitch black for me, please!

Ha! You're certainly not alone, but you and I - a human plant - are polar opposites on this! ;)
