We had my old classmate again for long poses!

On the plus side, we continued to catch up on life, and there were plenty of those awesome-proportion long-neck poses tonight.

On the other hand, boy I was having an off night!

I liked this one, though:

I think it was a 10-minute. Here's another 10:

I'm considering getting a different type of paper, as the Blick watercolor blocks don't really allow you to reactivate the paint with water once it's down. The paint only gets darker.

A 20-minute I didn't mind as much:

Either way, I definitely need a bigger round brush. I have nothing between tiny size-3 brushes, and one big washy type brush that's TOO big.

An example of that can't-reactivate-the-paint problem, on her ribs:

She kinda looks like she has tiger stripes, though, which, alright, I can get into that.

The last one wasn't so bad, just a bit unfinished.

Anyway, can't improve until you make enough mistakes, right? Onward. :)

The first one seemed quite good, if not in your usual style. I like the Fluid watercolor blocks, tho they can get pilled if you work them too much. otoh, never tried the Blick ones, haha.
