I accidentally skipped this daily comic earlier! A wee sappy one for you. Happy Saturday, call your mom. <3

aww! (I will wait, I don't think Mom would appreciate being called at midnight) [Dad might still be up tho]

So true!!!

That Harper Gal

I call my parents daily. My mom insisted on it when I went to college, and I've never stopped, and it's one of the best things she's ever told me.

Scott Bieser

Both my parents are gone and I sure miss them. But I still have a step-mother and you bet I always answer when she calls.

Ruth Merriam

Enjoy that closeness for all it's worth!

MaryAnne Glazar

My folks couldn't wait to get me out of their house, and didn't especially want to hear from me, so I got family news from my sister who did call them every day. (It's complicated. Family politics can be very weird.)

I was always in and out of contact with my folks, mostly because they thought it was up to me to call and would only call me when somebody in the family died. Also, they would always rush me off the line if I did call. After my dad died the calls got to be less and less as my mom was the one who never wanted to talk for long. But when Covid hit I was the good son and called her every week, which ended up being a good thing as she passed away in May of 2021. (Not of Covid.)

I had no idea you had a New England connection! Whereabouts in Maine? I'm in New Hampshire, not far from the ME border.

Tim Pendergast

I can't imagine calling anyone everyday.

Lost my mom a little over a year ago and I still replay her voicemails now and again. Cherish those phone-like phone moments ❤️

She grew up not far from the NH border! Little town called Mechanic Falls. :)

Believe it or not I was through there back in 2020: I took some very long rides in 2020 and 2021 (one of the few pleasures allowed me in those days,) one of which took me up the east side of NH and then down the west of ME and I remember passing through Mechanic Falls after seeing the bright lights of Oxford, home to a tacky and over-advertised casino. ;)

Naufragous Kat

Oh god. Right in the feels. Several of them.

I somehow missed this comment 3 months ago! How cool that you were there! Mechanic Falls was like my second home growing up... all two blocks of it. ;)
