Just a few dailies this week because I've had a lot of company!

My brain has been out on holiday vacation since last week.

So many times this summer, I'd sit and bask in the sun and be incapable of believing that, soon, in that same year, I would struggle to keep my body warm. I keep trying to channel that feeling now, in my cold drafty house. Sometimes it works, but only for a moment.

I'm waiting patiently for her to lose it again.

I don't know exactly what those enormous heat boxes look like, but the sound they make when Marlon fires them up is definitely FWOOM.

Everyone has their preferred space and knows all the obstacles - nails popping out of the floor, dips in the wood. We've been meeting here for at least two years and while I can't wait to be in Marlon's new warm studio, this old building and all its quirks will leave a hole.

I don't think I'll be making any posts until after the holidays, so if you celebrate anything over the next week, have a happy one, and I'll see you when we're all home and recovering! <3

I can't believe it's been a year of these! They're such a joyful slice of life in my inbox each week.

I do feel we are slightly responsible for Fennel's behavior and would like to apologize for any missed shuteye on that account. --Neal

It's all worth it for her ridiculous pride and happiness. <3

Thank you for sharing so many moments with us. Happy holidays to you! It you've done any gift art for your family, I look forward to seeing that if you share. Or more of your Dad's cars, they were looking great when you last shared them

Ha! I'm reading this on a 20º night in my own drafty Really Old And Charming house. So the strips about bundling up indoors, and old heating systems that make a demure exploding sound when they kick on, are very much appreciated.

Happy "be the couch" week, when hopefully you can take some time between everyone else's holidays to just become one with your couch/bed/cats. ;) Also, it's true, my brain has also been trying to go on holiday, especially with the "I walked into this room for X but wtf was X??" feeling.
