After Se7en, I think I can take on anything at this point bahahaha. Thank you all so much for the votes, the hypes, and all the spooky recommendations for this season! Next week marks the official start of October (though we've been celebrating very early since you all get everything way ahead of time lol). So, we're going to kick that week off with our Horror/Mystery genre poll!Poll closes on Monday at 7pm EST so be sure to get your votes in before then!Like always, you can vote as many times as you like โœจI think this is honestly the category I'm MOST nervous about, but I'm excited to see what you all pick! This time I'm bringing blankets ๐Ÿ˜น

Pls let the thing win. The scaresit part is literally the mystery

T3RM1NATOR

Weapons was AWESOME and I still highly recommend it if you do another poll after this one but IT is Stephen King classic so that one was easy ๐Ÿ˜‹ EDIT: I didnโ€™t even notice The Thing, but thatโ€™s also a must watch lol ๐Ÿ˜†

Nadeem L

This should be really fun. For those of you who haven't seen 'Weapons' yet, I HIGHLY recommend it, I know it's new so many of you probably havent, but it's REALLY freaky. Whichever movie wins the poll, should be a great reaction! Hope you dont have heart issues btw Kali..., JK JK! Youll be fine!!

JeRon Washington

What about Boo and Boo 2: A Madea Halloween?

Paul T

I'll be thinking about you as you watch any of these. I DON'T DO THESE KINDS OF MOVIES. lol I would not be a good content creator during October cause I wouldn't do it. Nope, not happening! Have a great month and I'll catch you in some regular stuff ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Daniel Morgan

I'm going with 'IT', just because I've been rewatching it because of the upcoming 'Welcome to Derry' series. Other than that, I'd wager most would go with 'The Thing'. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Cause, brace yourself.

Fanchman

I used to get into these type of movies, but I've lost interest. Hopefully you'll have fun with them

M1 Maz

Oh things just escalated with this list.... I'm nervous going into next week LOL. But you got this! The reactions this month are gonna be so fun hahaha

Camron

The whole story of IT is 2 movies, but only 1 of them is good.

logan wojtal

I really hope you do sometime explore Weapons but I understand if everyone may not be into that type of horror.

Danny

People voting for Hereditary are NOT looking out for you...

xxbigby

Definitely want The Thing on this one. My #1 horror movie.

Ricky

Earlier this year I watched a movie called Heretic. It has Hugh Grant and it is a definite good movie for spooky season if anyone is interested.

KJ

Poltergeist is one that I've re-watched and liked. It's also secretly a Steven Spielberg film. Even though it's directed by Tobe Hooper, the story and screenplay is from Spielberg and his fingerprints are all over this ๐Ÿ˜‚ I think the other movies I'll give a miss just on my personal preference.

Alex Blume

Omg, please do The Thing!

Robert da Spruce

Not really into horror movies, so Iโ€™ll refrain from voting. Although Iโ€™ve seen a few off this list But Iโ€™ll let the other patrons with more knowledge on the subject make the recommendations Hope to watch your Seven reaction this weekend!

Lastboyscout73

Unless it's comedy horror, I don't do horror movies. With that being said, I know it's that time of year and I hope you find fun with them, they're just not my type of movies.

Chris

Don't worry, next week is the mini 'break'. It's comedy/horror ๐Ÿ˜†.

Onno Smits

I don't usually do horror either, but The Thing (1982) is awesome (and probably the least scary on this list), so I voted for that.

Chris

Oh, The Thing and IT? Selfishly voting for IT, i just watched The Thing again recently. I think Hereditary or The Excorsist would probably be the scariest for Kali? ๐Ÿ˜‚

Thomas Blake

Has anyone said thereโ€™s a game Alien: Isolation?

Phil Stubblefield

I choose... None of the Above! You guys knock yourself out with this horror stuff ๐Ÿ˜ฑ while I catch up on my reaction backlog. And, more importantly, read The Hobbit! Okay, I just realized I lied: I would like to see Kali react to Poltergeist... which really doesn't matter because it's never gonna win!

Dude Longcouch

There are lots of great picks on that list. No matter which movie wins, we all win with more Kali content.

o.o

Dude Longcouch

I suspect that will appear in a forthcoming "Horror / Comedy" poll.

Shaun Valladares

The Scream franchise and The Conjuring Universe should be seen

kaliwali

I keep seeing this about Weapons! Has me interested.. Especially since it is newer!

kaliwali

I'll throw that on the horror/comedy list!!

kaliwali

LOL I don't blame you at all. That's why I'll be keeping up with my normal schedule with the addition of these ๐Ÿคฃโค๏ธ

kaliwali

The comedy/horror genre poll is coming next week!

kaliwali

Yeah I've heard of this! Sounds absolutely terrifying haha

kaliwali

Yep, what Dude said! Zombieland will 100% be on the next poll focused on horror/comedy โœจ

kaliwali

I'll be watching The Conjuring as we get closer to Halloween. It's been 'grandfathered in' this year since I chickened out last year ๐Ÿ˜…

Ricky

Oh, thank you for reminding me! I bought my first gaming laptop recently (Asus ROG 5090) and wanted to find a good game to play. I've been wanting to play that game since it came out but never had the rig for it until now

Richard

I went with The Thing and Nightmare on Elm Street. Nightmare has a very young Johnny Depp haha.

Nadeem L

Well, Ive seen that many are reacting to it on YT and it does really, REALLY well on Youtube, really high number of views, and it's a fantastic movie, very smart, and nigh unpredictable, I highly recommend reacting to it after all the movies here, you wont regret it

Shaun Valladares

The Universe consists of: 4 Conjuring movies, 3 Annabelle movies, 2 Nun movies and 1 Curse of La Llorona ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„ I hope you see them all but also not take a year to see them all..just saying ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿคท

kaliwali

I don't looooove horror, so this seems like an impossible task LOL. We'll see how I do in The Conjuring ๐Ÿคฃ

Michael Kemmet

You say you're ready for anything after Se7en, but there are at least two movies on that list that are far worse. Luckily(?) neither seems to be winning at the moment(and I didn't vote for either). And maybe up to three others nearly as bad depending on exactly what triggers a person has. (There're two movies on the list that I don't find particularly scary at all - though I still think they're good - that I've seen a few reactors absolutely freak out over.) [in a gentle grandfatherly Sam Elliot voice] "Good luck, darling." ;)

Michael Kemmet

True. True true true true true. True.

Michael Kemmet

We all agree 'Tucker & Dale vs. Evil' has to win the Horror/Comedy poll when it comes out? Right? RIGHT? And then maybe 'Cabin in the Woods' next year? Also, would 'Happy Death Day' and 'Ready or Not' be considered horror/comedy? 'Army of Darkness' definitely would be, but Kali would have to watch Evil Dead 1 & 2 first. The later Final Destination movies almost get to horror/comedy, but not the first one.

Lastboyscout73

Although I would love for her to watch that one too, I will be voting for Zombieland. She will love the cast. I wish she was doing more than one comedy horror but that's selfish of me because I don't care for straight up horror.

Chris

Tucker & Dale definitely fits better, but Cabin in the Woods is so cool. Zombieland is a farrrr 3rd out of those 3 for me. I'm worried about whatever Poll gets the bulk of the zombie/disease/virus stuff, there's a bunch of good ones, but i really want her to watch Train to Busan!

Milton Reduxed

Comedy Horror Suggestions: โ€ข Critters (1986) โ€ข Night of the Comet (1984) โ€ข The Blob (1988) โ€ข Return of the Living Dead (1985) โ€ข Chopping Mall (1986) โ€ข The Stuff (1985) Seasonal October Movies โ€ข Ed Wood (1994) โ€” Tim Burton & Johnny Depp (spooky vibe but not scary) โ€ข Matinee (1993) โ€” Family friendly film about a traveling horror-movie showman

Mike Ortiz

Thereโ€™s some really great movies in this poll. One of my top 10 movies of all time is on there tho. (Hereditary) whatever the results of the poll are you should definitely watch Hereditary. Technically itโ€™s one of the best horror movies ever, the directing, cinematography, writing and acting are all top tier. Thereโ€™s a general consensus that Toni Collette shouldโ€™ve been nominated for an Oscar. The Thing, It, A Nightmare on Elm Street. Are all so good

Brad

Weapons was so good. I think it might almost rival 80's movies...

Josh B.

I hope IT and Thing are both chosen

colin summers

To the other 15 people who votes along side me for, It Follows, you are truly the best this world has to offer. I wish you happy lives and god speed gentle people until next Halloween.
