⚠️ Scream Warning: Please be mindful of your volume for this video. I tried to be brave, but I'm so sorry in advance lol.Okay... For those who've been with me since the early days (aka a year ago lol), you might remember that I tried to watch this movie last year and failed miserably. The moment Annabelle's face flashed across the screen, I panicked, hit pause, and literally "nope, not today, Satan" 😅🤣 The fact that I made it all the way through this time really feels like a personal accomplishment... Though, I may never sleep soundly again hahahaFor those that don't know, I hate paranormal anything. Not because I don't believe in it, but because I really do. Working overnight in a hospital changed me into a believer very quickly. I've shared one of my many stories with you all in the intro here and if you'd like to hear more, I am definitely up to share them! During those years at the hospital, I also happened to live in a home that had some extra residents. So yes, I came into The Conjuring already fully believing. Which made it ten times harder when I saw "based on a true story" flash on the screen 😅This movie had me in a constant state of goosebumps. They didn't leave my skin the entire time and even started to hurt when it got too intense hahaha. But honestly, the story itself really got me. This family just trying to start over, moving into their dream home, and instead being slowly swallowed by the darkness.. It's not flashy 'horror' like we've been watching this month. It's patient. Haunting. Evil. Watching the Perrons go from playful disbelief to full-on desperation was terrifying and tragic. If it wasn't for the Warrens, they would have been so easily and quickly consumed like the others before them.So yes, I finally faced The Conjuring. And it faced me right back. I'm proud that I made it through, even if I'm looking over my shoulder every second while typing this lol. I'll be sleeping with the lights on tonight and maybe every night for the rest of this month. Sage will be burning. And this movie? It honestly earned every one of my heart palpitations 🤣Happy Spooky Month! Thank you all for joining me ✨

Congrats on making it through the whole film You should be proud of yourself! Still undecided if I’ll watch this one. Nothing to do with you. I’m sure your reaction to great! But like you, I don’t like horror movies Luckily, I’m not a reactor, so I don’t have to watch scary movies every Halloween if I don’t want to 😄 I might watch the intro though. To hear your hospital story

Exorcist next year .... Lol

Josh B.

Was hoping for IT part 1 and 2 maybe next year or who's to say scary movies only have to be for Spooktober as its more deep then just a scary movie ;)

Wil Castillo

Congratulations on watching one of the scariest movies ever, from start to finish. I love The Conjuring films. I'm a bit disappointed that they won't be making anymore Conjuring films, though. Gerald Brittle has a book out about Ed and Lorraine Warren titled The Demonologist. It's got so much more to say on the things they've experienced. It's a good read, in my opinion. I'm a big believer on the things unseen.

Jason Douglas

Don't worry. Ed and Lorraine were world-class con artists. None of this stuff in the movies actually happened. But the movies are highly entertaining, but don't get caught up in the "based on a true story part."

kaliwali

This actually makes me feel a lot better! Thank you! I was going to go searching on my own for how much of this was part of the 'true story' because I just couldn't wrap my head around which parts were. So it's actually nice to hear it wasn't exactly or even close to how it was portrayed here. SHEW. Might be able to sleep tonight after all haha.

kaliwali

LOL I'm sorry! Maybe next year tho! I think I'm a bit tapped out on the spooks for this year ngl 😅

kaliwali

Ooo interesting! I'm a believer too for sure. Nothing horrifying like this ever happened to me thank goodness, but I've definitely unmistakably had some encounters.

kaliwali

I do not blame you one bit!! I'm proud of myself for getting through this, but I'm definitely all tapped out on the spooks for awhile after this month LOL I hope you enjoy the intro if you do plan on watching it! Just one of the many crazy events I've had during those 4 years of my life lol

Alexander Ocean

1:16:02 was puuuuuure terror lmaooo, thank you for putting your sanity on the line for our enjoyment lol

Josh B.

Was worth a try lol excited for No Way Home though :D

Congrats on making it through this year. It means next year you can getting into some bigger scares for spooky month, you're obviously ready. I joke of course, you watch what you're ready for. As for this movie, I'm always conflicted with it. I personally have a love/hate for paranormal/possession movies in general. Not due to a lack of belief, my entire family on one side talked about strange encounters enough that it was impossible to ignore. It's more a certain...arrogance to them? That's really not the right word for it but it's like some just take the paranormal theme, slap some "based on true events" tag and act like that's good enough to make a film. To be fair to The Conjuring they do it better than other movies within this genre/theme (there are others I prefer more) but still. I guess my bigger issue is that Ed and Lorraine Warren were con artists and potentially much worse if the allegations are true. Regardless, I'm surprised there is an entire 9 movie Conjuring Universe because some really fall into what I mentioned above. Congrats again for making it through this year.

McShades

I'll be glad when October is over and we get back to non demonic movies lol. We need some uplifting movies like League of their own, Real Steel, Rocky, Twins, Junior, Second Hand Lions, We are Marshall, Cool Runnings, Remember the Titans, Rudy, etc...

Danny

I'm big into horror movies and i really love this one. There are a couple horror cliches that really irritate me and this movie specifically rejects them. First, "the people are the real villains" trope is really tiresome. It can be done well on rare occasions but it usually just comes across as vapid misanthropy. Boo (but not in a fun way). Here everyone is kind and brave and just trying to protect each other. It's great and unexpectedly heartwarming! Second there are so many movies about a family moving into a new house where the mother is the only one who thinks something supernatural is happening. No one believes her, everyone ignores her, and it's just a very lazy way to divide the family and isolate the mom. Here everyone believes and everyone is dealing with it together. It makes it scarier that the spirits don't bother to divide & conquer. I do feel a little bad you watched this though. Almost like enjoying sports but knowing the athletes are sustaining all kinds of crazy physical trauma for entertainment. You shouldn't have to endure psychological injuries just because it's October!

M1 Maz

So you know what was desperately missing around these parts for spooky season? Basements!! LOL. So thank you Conjuring for taking us down :) Okay but anyway, every time I go into rewatching this movie, I think to myself "Oh Conjuring, that movie isn't too bad".... and then it's an hour later after I finished watching the movie and my heartrate hasn't come back down yet LOL. It's the tension and the build! The scariest part of horror movies is the unknown. And this one just slow-burned the heck out of that. And then just unleashed it all from there I do love that this one did have a solid story behind it, as far as horror movies go, AND that it ended on an uplifting note. A little exhale for us. Thanks for suffering for our entertainment LOL. This October was a lot of fun seeing you expand your horizons and taking a leap of faith with these spooky movies! Also, would love to hear more of your own spooky stories in the hospital and at home haha

Lastboyscout73

No judgement here, but I won't watch these types of movies because I am a big believer in denial lol. I have never encountered any sort of paranormal thing and I don't want too! So, I go on about my life not believing in such things but I give no shame or judgement to people who do. If I were to start a reaction channel, no amount of money would get me to watch these type of movies. (of course, with the amount of movies I have seen, I couldn't be a reactor if I wanted too lol) I watched the original Amityville horror when I was very young and it scared the bejesus out of me, so no thank you! :) Kudos on being brave.

Joel P

This one was hard to watch, not because I was overly scared but because I felt bad for you the whole second half of the movie, lol. It's awesome that you were able to get through it, but don't feel pressured to watch anything else from this genre if you don't feel up to it--no reason to inflict trauma on yourself for our amusement. ;)

rubberkidney

so the doll just throws a chair and draws on some walls...idk i thought the doll was going to have something to do with the story...

rubberkidney

evil dead1 2+army of darkness please you will love it and it will be a great reaction.

NinjaMidget

You have to watch Smile sometime. Not that it's fun watching you being scared or anything :)

BigBrain69

I would have watched this, but my brown pants are in the laundry right now so I will have to skip this one. Bummer! But I would be totally brave enough!

Mister Lou

Don't overthink it, just dive into The Conjuring 2!

Jay Robert

I am SO proud of you! I never really considered how brutal this movie could be for people who are especially sensitive to stuff like this. You handled it like a champ! Loved watching this with you! I'd listen to any stories you have to tell btw.

kaliwali

Lol it's been fun for me to jump into things I normally wouldn't for the October month tho!

kaliwali

I tooootally get that! And looking back at this movie and after hearing that the Warrens were actually con artists.. I see it in a really different light! In some ways, knowing that this wasn't really a 'true story' would have helped me out a lot in this reaction LOL. But at least I know now so sleeping last night wasn't as horrible as I thought it was going to be. Especially after having so many experiences myself! I am also very surprised to hear there are 9 in this universe LOL. I definitely won't be watching all of them ( I guess never say never? ) but this one was fun to challenge myself with this year!

kaliwali

It was definitely my most challenging watch yet haha! But it was super fun to give it a try and actually survive it 😅🤣 I found just purely laughing at the scary parts really helped me here lol

kaliwali

It was actually really fun to challenge myself with this one! So don't feel bad!! I actually ended up sleeping okay last night since a lot of you shared this was an overexaggeration from the 'true story' 🤣

kaliwali

Why is it always the BASEMENTS 😅🤣🔥 I definitely shared the less creepy of the stories in the intro because I didn't want to get too scared reliving them before diving into this hahaha. I'll try to share the rest of them with you all for Halloween but we'll see if I can squeeze it in!

kaliwali

Yes! I enjoyed the 'unexpectedly heartwarming' vibe this one gave off. It definitely helped me stick it out and focus on trying to save them vs the horror of the demon lol. I'm glad you enjoyed this though! Don't feel bad! It was a really fun challenge to try and get through my first paranormal movie ever and this one definitely didn't disappoint 🤣😅 I found myself just kind of laughing because I was so freaking scared and it honestly made it really fun! And after hearing that the Warrens were a bit of con artists and this story was very overexaggerated I actually slept well last night lol. I only got freaked out in the dark a few times 🤣

Joshua s. Jackson

They would have a cop with them during their investigations for a credible witness.

Joshua s. Jackson

Please watch "Odd Thomas" it's not nearly as scary as this.😁

Nina

What a great movie this is. It's so effective as a horror movie but it also works on an emotional level. And can we talk about Lily Taylor. The actress that played the mum Carolyn. What an insane performance she gave. Such an underrated performance. Also incredible directing by James Wan. I noticed that you rarely mention or notice the director of the movies you're watching. Maybe you can include it especially if it really stands out. The cinematography and the directing was so good, the kind of atmosphere it created ❤️ Great reaction. I saw this in the theatre back then, it was such a great experience watching it on the big screen with a lot of people.

Daniel King

Please tell me you still have the footage of you panic pausing. I think I need to see that 🤔 😅 🤣🤣

Kaneki Ken

as a person who also experienced these kind of stuff - I still enjoy watching it. My suggestion would be react these type of movies around mid day when the sun is up. Or I spam watched (nuke's top 5 ) for a couple of days then somehow you become numb. Which I think is good because I dont get scared or worried anymore instead I enjoy the content.

RogueDrone

Hey so you know what game you should play if you haven’t already… until dawn. It’s an amazing and experience

J0HNNY0NLY

You gotta watch INSIDIOUS

Ray

Do NOT ever watch the "Exorcist"... NEVER! You can't handle the "Exorcist".

Alan Claymore

Give me monsters or serial killers any day. Ghosts/spirits/poltergeists freak me the fudge out.
