I'm actually blown away by this movie. Honestly, I didn't expect to love it this much since I've been watching so many epic 'newer' superhero films for a year straight now. But here I was. Melting for a flying hero in blue tights the same way I melted for Batman in the Nolan trilogy 🤣Superman's origin story grabbed my attention immediately. I had NO idea he was from an entirely different planet, and the way they told his story felt exciting and almost poetic. It made Superman feel like this outsider trying to figure out where he truly belongs and finding deeper meaning in why heroes exist. I loved that!In a world full of corruption and people in power doing the absolute most, it's so easy to get behind Superman's "truth, justice, and the American way"! It felt refreshing, inspiring, and incredibly hopeful. Finally, a superhero story that hits you in the emotions but gives you even more love and light in return.I get why people love this film so much, even today. It's earnest and optimistic and genuinely kind. Sometimes that's just exactly what you need. Thank you all for watching with me!Thank you for your support on Patreon!Relax and enjoy 🍿🌿SYNC ALONG LINK: https://youtu.be/VZVek5fvWJwI watched this on HBO Max

Oooh can't wait 😍😍😍

Christopher Reeve was a great Superman. Especially as his alter ego Clark Kent Looking forward to your reaction Kali!

CJgutierrez

Yay! Super excited for this and for you to eventually get to this year’s Superman film

Daniel King

They did a documentary about Christopher reeves which included his friendship with Robin Williams, definitely worth a watch. It was called superman the Christopher reeves story

Black_TYGR

knew you’d love it! looking fwd to catching ur reaction.

La Baanga

The way Christopher Reeve could just subtly adjust his posture as Clark Kent to show a brief glimpse of Superman before hiding it again is my favorite part of this movie. He does such a great job making it plausible that a pair of eyeglasses could fool everyone because he's such an endearing, awkward oddball as Clark. You could cut all the superhero stuff out of this movie and still be left with a quality screwball comedy starring Clark and Lois.

Phil Stubblefield

Yes, Kali, Christian Bale was a great Batman in the Christopher Nolan trilogy, but... *No one* is as fantastically dreamy a superhero as Christopher Reeve in Superman! I'm a heterosexual man, and even I almost swoon over the guy. Beautiful on the outside *and* the inside! An amazing man, taken from us far too early!

Richard

Well, what can I say? Wonderfully riveting reaction as always. Many in the community will echo this, but Christopher Reeve was perfect for this role. Unlike 21st century movie-making where everything has to be "dark" and "gritty", I love the wholesome, altruistic vibes of this very authentic portrayal of the Man of Steel. The whole point of Superman is that he doesn't have a dark side, he always does what's right. Kind of like an OP DC version of Captain America. Some interesting Christ parallels/metaphors too. His father offering him for mankind, being 30 years old when he started his “ministry”, never lying, stuff like that. The music is so epic, one of those instantly recognizable themes like Star Wars and Jurassic Park. That only thing that hasn't aged well since his character was created in 1938 is the "Truth, Justice, and American Way" motto. Shouldn't be nation-specific, he was sent to earth not America. Can't tell you how much I appreciate the new format, when I'm often away from home without WiFi, I can watch on my phone now. Sure drains the battery quickly though! 😂 Regarding the "dated" criticism that can pop up for certain films, here's my view of it: ALL movies are dated to the time period they were made. People in 50s thought movies from the 30s were dated; folks in the 70s the same with the 50s, 90s with the 70s, and now people think movies from the 90s are dated. Really though, the way they are portrayed may change over time, but people and stories are always timeless. Of the 4 Reeve films, Superman 2 is awesome and my favorite, while 3 and 4 are pretty lame and probably not worth your time. This will be a common sentiment I think. Superman 2 though, it’s like Aliens and Terminator 2 level of sequel.

LeSteeler

Great film, can't wait for u to react to Superman II and Superman (2025).

LeSteeler

The movie that started it all with cinematic superhero films post the great and campy Batman (1966)...

PG Modehouse

Superman has had so many stories written about him over the past 85+ years, so many iterations of his origin, his upbringing, his arch-enemies, his abilities, and even his personality lol. But the version of Clark Kent I love is for the same reason I love Steve Rogers. I just feel like someone who has these incredible powers ought to be a paragon of virtuousness and compassion. Even though he's an alien, he's also a dorky boy from Kansas who grew up on a farm, with foster parents who raised him right.

Eric Stewart

I cry every time I hear his dad say "you are here for a reason". Such positive messages in this movie... from a bygone era... Edit: ended up listening to this a second time while working... lol... nostalgic for me. Fun seeing a young'n experience this wholesome movie for the first time...

TheJoeKerr

Some people say oh it would be so easy to tell that Clark Kent is Superman it’s just glasses. The best thing I loved about Christopher Reeve was when he changed from being Clark Kent, a bumbling awkward slouching shy man who wears glasses to a confident standing tall charming heroic Superman. He was born Superman and came up with the perfect Clark Kent persona as a disguise.

The Amazing Webhead

Great reaction! Superman is the first ever superhero in comics introduced in 1938 while Batman came a year later in 1939. You’re right that Superman aka Clark Kent is like an outsider because the idea of the character is it is an immigrant story. Both his creators are from families of Jewish immigrants. Clark is an amazing character in the comics & other adaptations because he has these amazing powers but became a hero because it was the right thing to do & trying to make the world a better place. He gives them hope & a friend to the people. Everything you see in the film is from the comics/lore. His origins being from Krypton, being raised by the Kent’s in Smallville, Metropolis, his supporting cast of his job at the Daily Planet, & his weakness being Kryptonite. Lois Lane is his main love interest in the lore. She’s always there in every Superman story across all media. They’re destined to be together. Lastly Lex Luthor is Superman’s main villain in the lore. Clark fought aliens, robots, monsters, & other supervillains but what makes Luthor so iconic is how he’s just a normal business man yet can be a huge threat.

The Amazing Webhead

I do want to also say that Superman is a founding member/leader of The Justice League alongside other heroes such as Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, etc. Superman & Batman are the most iconic superhero team up/friendship of all time. One is dark, the other is light. One represents Justice/vengeance, the other brings hope. Despite having their differences, both men respect each other & are best friends even if Batman doesn’t show his feelings a lot lol. I bring this up because there are some awesome DC shows & animated films with these characters that I hope you can check out. A few animated films that are stand alone I can recommend would be Batman Year One, Batman The Long Halloween, All Star Superman, Superman vs The Elite, & if you want a team up film, I say Superman/Batman: Public Enemies. All these are adaptations of comic storylines. :)

MadIcelander

The theme song reminding you of Star Wars makes sense because it's composed by the same legend. John Williams composed the theme for Star Wars, Superman, Indiana Jones, Jaws, E.T., Jurassic Park, Harry Potter and many others.

KJ

Love the Hope and optimism of this movie. Especially when there's a lot of comicbook movies which can be quite cynical. Superman's origins definitely has parallels with the Moses story. His creators were Jewish Americans and that's one of the most significant stories of their faith. Some will say watch the Donner cut of Superman II but it's not an official cut from the Director, and the viewing of it is very disjointed - it ruins the flow of the movie and certain scenes no longer make sense / are confusing. Richard Donner was replaced as Director mid production of Superman II with Richard Lester giving us what we got with the theatrical cut. I'd stick with the theatrical cut. It's a more enjoyable watch and feels like a finished movie.

Robert Foxx

Now that you have seen one you are legally required to watch the second. Also calling her Lewis at the end instead of Lois was so funny to me cos all I could hear is Ricky Gervais saying 'Lewis supermans little friend'

Hans Engelen

Christopher Reeve, Tom Welling, Henry Cavill ... And there you have it. The rest get points for effort but those are my superman actors. Mind you being European I am ... not burdened ... with the content of the comics. Certainly in 1978 those were simply not available over here, and that changes how I see superman. I don't mind that either. It's the same for Marvel for me, same reason. I had no clue who any of those characters were. Not even Iron Man. I met them all through the movies.

pinkdino99

I love that Lois can't spell. That is probably my fave part of any Superman movie. And there have been a few ! Reeves - 70s-80s Superman 1 & 2 were shot back to back, however they ran out of money/ patience 2/3 of the way through the second movie bringing in Richard Linklater to reshoot half the movie replacing Richard Donner. So there are two cuts of the second (either will do !) which is considered the best of these early films. Superman 3 is a farce mainly being a Richard Pryor vehicle, but it has a few outstanding sequences and is a passable afternoon's entertainment. Annette O'Toole whom played Lana would return as Mrs Kent in the long running Smallville series 2001-2011. Superman 4 is one of the worst movies ever made. It is not even bad enough to be entertainingly bad. Routh - 2006 Superman Returns is one of the most "meh !" films ever made. There is nothing especially wrong with it. Spacey is incredible as always, but it just feels a bit soulless. Routh was far better in the DC Arrowverse series of TV shows where he plays The Atom in Legends of Tomorrow. Cavill (The Snyderverse) - 2010s Man of Steel - Off the back of Nolan's Batman we get a grounded, gritty and somewhat grim version of Superman. Totally Marmite movie. You'll love it or hate it. Batman v Superman - same but longer. And there is an even longer extended version because Snyder can't ever stop himself. Justice League - two versions again... the Whedon cut, as Snyder unfortunately had a death in his family, was not well received by critics or fans. The extended Snyder cut is the way to go... but goddess it is loooooooooooooong ! Corenswet (from new head of DCU - James Gunn) - 2025 Superman - I loved it. It's colourful. It's fun. It's James Gunn. If you like Guardians of the Galaxy, you'll like this. There has also been... Slater - 1984 Supergirl - came out after the excellent Superman 2, this one is outrageously bad, but does have a certain charm alongside some heavyweight performerers - Peter O'Toole, Peter Cooke and Faye Dunawaye. Slater would return as Supergirl's adopted mum in the Supergirl TV show in 2015 (which I looooove !) Alcock - 2026 Supergirl - out next summer from James Gunn based on the Woman of Tomorrow comic book (which is very cosmic !) and featuring Jason Mamoa as Lobo (whom is like a space Deadpool ?) SUPER excited for this one !

pinkdino99

There is a wonderful picture of Henry Cavill in Times Square at Christmas standing in front of a massive Batman v Superman billboard wearing glasses... and NOBODY looked at him twice.

pinkdino99

Williams was the first person to get Reeves laughing after his accident.

Joseph Olson

This was a good movie for when it came out. I prefer the 2013 "Man of Steel" with Henry Cavill as Superman, along with several other top notch actors. I haven't seen the most recent one, so can't say one way or the other whether it's worth a watch. The only thing that put me off in this movie was when Superman caused the Earth to rotate backwards to reverse time. The physics nerd in me cringed for so many reasons. I know it's just a movie, but that was the point where the suspension of disbelief you need to watch very many movies snapped. Still, all in all, a good movie. Sadly Christopher Reeve suffered a severe paralyzing injury some years later after being thrown from a horse during an equestrian competition. May he rest in peace.

Daniel King

Robins wife said on the documentary that if chirstopher didn't pass away when he did, then Robin would've had the strength no to take his own life. Which showed the strong bond they had

Daniel King

I've always said that Routh had a bad deal when playing superman. The others played an origin superman and create there own superman, where as Routh was literally stepping into Reeves' shoes, which i believe was his downfall.

McShades

It wasn't smoke coming out of the house, you were just seeing the mist from the fields being watered. Weirdest thing, when I was watching this reaction, my sister came by and let me know my Uncle passed away, back when I was 8, this was the first movie my Uncle took me to, back when it came out in the theaters. Crazy coincidence.

Lastboyscout73

My honest opinion (not that anyone asked), this came out when I was a kid and it's ok and Christopher Reeve is a legend but so far my favorite Superman movie is "Man of Steel", it's a grittier take on Superman, and I really like Henry Cavill's performance. Superman never really caught my attention growing up. He was too "perfect" in my eyes as a kid. Just my 2 cents but I'm glad you liked it.

Michael Enos

I really enjoyed this watch with you.. it's always fun to watch with a friend(even a virtual one) who actually buys in with you. John Williams' score always surges the emotions.. and I like that you noticed the vibes the film was giving.. back when it was easy to believe that people are genuinely good. Maybe they are.. but anyways.. Love this reaction...I dig all your reactions. Have a good rest of the week!

Andy Jordan

Wonderful reaction, as always, Kali. So, Superman was the first superhero proper the way we think of them today. He first appeared in Action Comics No. 1 in 1938 (which was shown in the first shot of the film), and a copy today fetches millions at auction. There was a Superman radio show in the '40s, and a TV show starring George Reeves in the '50s (some still confuse which one is Reeve and Reeves today), and there was a Batman movie in the '60s based on the TV show, and while it's fun camp, it certainly didn't help people take science-fiction seriously. It wasn't until Star Wars and Superman '78 that people began to understand this was art just like anything else. Interesting that you recognized Gene Hackman, but not Marlon Brando (Jor-el, Superman's father). I cannot recommend enough The Godfather, one of the great films of all-time with a perfect script and stacked cast, featuring Marlon Brando as the Godfather Don Corleone. In the early comics, Martha Kent actually used the blankets Kal-el came with in his ship to sew his suit for him to play in as a kid, which the film pays homage to; he had red, yellow and blue blankets in the ship. And regarding the ship, Jor-el and Lara didn't have time to build a bigger ship, so that's why they could only send him. Also, him not being able to change at the pay phone was an homage to the early comics and TV show, when he would go into a phone booth to change because all phone booths then were fully-enclosed spaces you could stand in with doors. And yes, being shy and clumsy Clark Kent is part of his disguise. Although there is something to the "Clark Kent effect", because Christopher Reeve himself often went unrecognized on the set by various crew members when he was in his civvies because he looked different from being either Clark or Superman. And Eve Teschmacher's full line was "Why can't I get it on with a good guy?", a musing on her poor choices up to now. And while Superman's not actually reading Lois Lane's mind, his powers and extra-terrestrial origins make Lois think he might be able to, especially because he's the first person to make her feel vulnerable, since she's usually a tough go-getter. So much of their dynamic is Superman helping Lois feel more in touch with her emotions and Lois helping Superman feel more accepted and not alone. Also, you've seen the actor who plays Jimmy Olsen (the Daily Planet's photographer) before, Marc McClure, who had a small but consistent role in the Back to the Future films as Marty's older brother Dave. Much is made of Superman and Batman and the actors who play them as only being successful if they can be both Superman and Clark Kent or Bruce Wayne and Batman believably. There is a truth to this, but with Superman, I would submit you actually have to be successful at three personas: not just a believable Superman and Clark Kent, but also just as effective as Kal-el. Superman is valiant, Clark Kent is awkward, but Kal-el is a fish out of water, confused as to where he fits in, not easy to do without the actor showing their hand that they know where the story's going anyway. And it also has to be believable that all three personas are the same person at the core. And Christopher Reeve showed his Juilliard training, because he did all of that with ease, when it is anything but simple. I also loved in particular your reaction to what I call "the scream". You looked genuinely horrified by Superman's response to Lois' death. And to this day, Reeve's performance in that moment, that scream of pure heartbreak and unbridled anger and despair from the most innocent person remains one of the most bone-chilling, heart shattering moments ever put to screen, in my opinion. Regarding Superman II, I personally prefer the theatrical cut. Director Richard Donner was fired midway through production, and Richard Lester brought in because the producers wanted a lighter tone that Donner wouldn't compromise with. So while some of what Donner shot was taken out and would've made for a better film had he been able to complete his vision, not all of the footage survives, and what does is not always in great shape. The theatrical cut is still really good, even if we could've had better had Donner not been fired, and it feels much more like a complete film. So them's my two cents. The DCEU Superman with Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel is also a good interpretation. Christopher Reeve will always be my Superman, but I appreciate the risks Zack Snyder took with the character while still ultimately staying true to his core. Finally, I highly recommend getting into more Richard Donner, if you can, especially The Goonies (filmed in my home state of Oregon) and the Lethal Weapon series, a rare franchise where all the installments are good enough to be someone's favorite. Looking forward to the second half of Hawkeye and Home Alone soon. Cheers!

I think one of my favorite things about watching this movie is how simple it felt, in the best of ways. The pacing felt very purposefully slow, and gave us a chance to really feel attached to Superman. And also, he just felt purely good. In world that truly appreciated him. Don't get me wrong, I also love my morally complicated heroes who have their own clashes with society haha. But this one just felt very refreshing, and uplifting to watch. And of course John Williams' trademark hopeful score only helped to elevate those feelings!

Paul Wright

Just to clarify, Diane Sherry Case did not return in Superman 3, but was recast by Annette O'Toole, who portrayed Martha Kent in the Smallville TV show(2001-2011).

Jose Morales

This was the first superhero movie I recall watching as a child. It blew me away and I watched whenever I could. I used to ask the same question of how Lois never realized who Clark was under those glasses. I have actually known people who look like a whole different person with and without their glasses. Also, how Clark and Superman have different postures and vocal tones, I feel he sells it so well. Also that Superman theme from John Williams always gives me goosebumps. So iconic.

Paul Wright

I absolutely loved your reaction to this movie. You helped me see this movie for the first time all over again, and I thank you for that ☺️. I can't count how many times I've seen this film. Fun fact: in the scene where young Clark(Jeff East) is racing to beat the train, a little girl waves hi. That little girl is young Lois Lane, and her parents are played by Kirk Alyn and Noel Neill, the original Superman and Lois Lane in the late 40s and early 50s. There are lot of actors that have portrayed Superman over the decades. My personal favorites are Christopher Reeve, Tom Welling, David Corenswet. I would recommend the Smallville TV show if and when you get into the DCU. Looking forward to your journey on Superman and other DC superheroes.

JOE

Well done Kali.

Robert da Spruce

Scene: Clark stares out across an endless sea of grain. He’s about to leave home for the first time. The music swells… Kali: Wait, is the farmhouse on fire? 😂 Great reaction Kali! You should definitely check out Superman II and III. The 2013 movie Man of Steel is also excellent

pinkdino99

Wow thanks. Thought that was the same lady !

pinkdino99

I think he did OK. It was the material that was lacklustre and the supporting cast. I love Kate Bosworth in Blue Crush (one of my fave films), but she had zero chemistry as Lois.

James Park

George Lucas was the first to not put credits at the start of a movie for star wars new hope, he wanted the audience to jump straight into the movie, he got fined heavily for it but started the trend

James Park

John Williams always gives me goosebumps

NinjaMidget

Richard Donner has done some great films including The Goonies and Scrooged. Not to mention Lethal Weapon.

KamikazeCDN

I've mentioned it before but I'm definitely not Superman's biggest fan. I don't outright hate him and I can totally see why people love him but he's just never been one of me personal favs. And of course it does fluctuate with which version of Superman we're watching as well. It's largely because he is/was very much OP with his powers tied back to his power creep during the Silver Age of comics in the 50s-60s. As new villains were introduced with different powers they kinda kept leveling up his current powers or giving him new ones so he could compete. Obviously there were "reasons" given as to why and different writers would change it as they needed but in the end he had so many abilities with many of them being rather silly. It just felt a little bit boring. Instead of wondering how Superman wins with his current abilities, he just gets something new each time. With that said, this movie...it's great. It's very entertaining, Christopher Reeve does a great job playing the clumsy and sometimes aloof (compared to Superman) Clark Kent while switching over to the full of confidence Superman with ease. But I think what I enjoy most is how comic book-y this feels. The little one-liners/quips Superman says while helping people feels like something right out of a retro comic book. And even the silly disguise of glasses and barely different hairstyle is fun. It's dumb, no question about it but it forces some suspension of disbelief which you need for these types of movies. Otherwise you get hung up on that detail and miss all the good stuff in the rest of the movie.

David L

Hi Kali, Great reaction! This is my favorite Superman film Superman 2 is good as well imo. I prefer the Directors cut. Anyway my question is about Battlestar Galactica. What platform do you watch it on? I have the complete series on DVD or Blu-Ray I can't remember which because I haven't watched it the whole way thru in at least 5 years . Could you give us about 20-25 seconds at the beginning with picture and audio to sync the copies up? I'd love to watch it on the patreon. But if it's a different platform we're watching it on with you it's hard to sync up. I'm technicalogicly challenged! Thank you and Merry Christmas to you and your family, David

David L

Hi Kali, Great reaction to Superman! I love Superman 2 the directors cut just as much! Just my opinion. But, I have a question about Battlestar Galactica. What platform do you watch it on? Because I own a physical copy of the complete series and most films you react to. So what platform do you watch Battlestar Galactica on? I have a hard time syncing it up with just the few seconds of the beginning of the film to sync it up properly. Is there a way you could give us like 20 seconds after you say play so I can get it synced to the copy I have? Which for BG is the complete series on DVD/Blu-Ray. I haven't watched it the whole way thru since 2020 covid. So I'd like to watch it again on your Patreon! Thank you! I'm really enjoying the patreon so far! Especially if I don't have to play my own copy! Merry Christmas to you and your family, David

Dan Hughes

Awesome reaction. I loved it. I also think you should at least check out Superman II. It may answer any questions you still have about this movie.

PaulieXP

Goddamn, everytime I hear that theme song I have to crank the volume up. It is one of Williams's masterpieces for sure. I'd say it beats both the SW and HP themes. Also don't know if you noticed, but to give you an idea of just how epic this movie was, the screenwriter? Mario Puzo? yeah, that's the guy that wrote The Godfather

PaulieXP

The movie kinda skips past a lot of his father's story and why Krypton exploded in the first place and why people didn't believe him. If you want a bit more of a deep dive into this I'd suggest Superman The Animated Series. The origin story in the show is a 2 or 3 parter that sets thigs up much nicer

kaliwali

YES! Also kinda shows how much posture can change an entire personality LOL

kaliwali

I have to agree! OMG he was so charming in this!

kaliwali

I actually think about the 'dated' criticism a lot! I think it's why I view films differently than maybe others. But I understand that a movie from this era won't look the same as what is in theatre now. I don't try to hold effects or visuals as high as emotions, acting and storylines. So yes! Very well said: 'people and stories are always timeless' 🩷

kaliwali

I 100% agree with the Steve Rogers comparison here. I think it's why I loved Superman so much. Honest, kind, gentle.. Always. I love that in a hero.

kaliwali

I love the positivity in this entire movie! And I'm not sure why but that entire "can you read my mind" segment gives me chills every time I think about it. I loved it so so much! Such a wholesome movie!

kaliwali

Yes! I loved the posture change in Louis' apartment! It shows how much it can change an entire personality LOL

kaliwali

Lex Luthor sounded SO familiar to me when I heard it in the movie and I suppose that's why! He's a main Superman villain. Most likely heard it somewhere in passing or around friends at some point! Thank you for the lore drop, as always!! I'm still deeply into Spider-Man comics but afterwards I'll definitely be picking up Batman and Superman!

kaliwali

I'd honestly love to watch some of these animated shows eventually down the line! Thank you for the recommendations!

kaliwali

Yes!! Makes total sense now! Epic theme song I should have known 🤣

kaliwali

That's why I loved it so much, too! The hope and optimism and positivity. Someone else in the comments drew a parallel between Superman (here at least) and Steve Rogers and it all clicked for me. I love a hero that can stay humble and have an unwavering moral compass 🩷 I did get a recommendation to watch the Donner cut of Superman II. But thank you for your input as well so I can make sure I look more into it before I watch!

kaliwali

LOL I'm so sorry! I'm still horrible at names 🤣

kaliwali

Henry Cavill plays a Superman!? OMG... I can't wait to get to that one. 👀

kaliwali

AMAZING information! Thank you so much for this as I get into more of these films soon!

kaliwali

LOL honestly, from a physics standpoint I can totally see how that would be cringey 🤣🔥

kaliwali

Someone else mentioned this! Even though it will be a difficult watch, I think it would be a great documentary to watch with everyone here eventually 🩷 Same with John Candy's "I like me"

kaliwali

Oooooh! That makes a lot more sense looking back now lol. I was concerned for a minute there clearly 🤣 I'm so sorry to hear your Uncle passed. Very crazy coincidence that you were watching one of his favorite films at the time.. Funny how things like this happen 🤍

kaliwali

I can't wait to see Henry Cavill's Superman!! Very, VERY excited for it. Someone else here mentioned the comparison between Christopher Reeve's Superman and Steve Rogers and it clicked for me why I loved him so much haha 🤍 But I can see the "being too good" view!

kaliwali

The John William's score in this was SO amazingly good. I'm glad you loved this reaction with me!! That scene with Louis "can you read my mind" still brings me chills when thinking back to it hehe. Loved this movie!

kaliwali

Thank you so much for this! I absolutely loved reading it! All the history, context, and your personal takes 🤍 it made me really see why so many people fell in love with this film and why Superman means so much to so many people. The scream was so intense! I felt like my heart broke off a little piece just for him in that moment. You put it beautifully how it made me feel as well! The three personas was beautiful. Thank you so much for taking time to explain these! I always love learning more about this world and just how much really goes into it. Can't wait to eventually watch more!

kaliwali

I was very concerned for ma's farmhouse 👀🔥🤣 Can't wait to get into more Superman soon!!

kaliwali

Hey! I've been watching Battlestar Galactica through Amazon Prime! I think in Season 3 the episodes get a little wacky because Amazon put together episodes 1 and 2, whereas on the DVD episode 1 and 2 are separate. I try to make sure in the YouTube version to leave the sync screen on for a bit! In the very beginning its a short sync, then when the "previously on" hits I try to make it a bit longer. Battlestar Galactica is VERY harsh on copyright even when I do it this way. So it's been a challenge.. I hope you find a way to watch it with me here! The newer episodes I don't require you to 'sync along' but the newer ones still are in that format

kaliwali

Ahh I didn't realize! That's awesome! I can't wait to see The Godfather eventually!

kaliwali

Awesome! Thank you for the lore recommendation!

pinkdino99

Have you watched the new Supergirl trailer, or are you doing the new Superman first ? Would love to know your thoughts.

David L

Hello Kali, My problem is I watch on my phone. So I can't sync up on another computer monitor. I have to watch it on Blu-Ray on my T.V. It's fine tho. I'll go through your folder to see what version/platform you're watching it on. I watched Pulp Fiction on here and that one wasn't hard to sync. It's some of the other ones I'm having trouble with. It seems like you're able to post some movies without having to watch your own copy. Is that a new thing on Patreon? It's the first time I've seen it. But I don't sub to Patreon that much. Most reactors aren't worth the $$ per month. But your insight and commentary on movies is worth it to me. Plus you actually upload movies and shows a lot. Which is rare on Patreon as far as I've seen. Thanks for the link, Kali! I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, David

Hans Engelen

Even more, there is rumors of him coming back as Superman after the recent version of Superman by James Gunn that featured David Corenswet as Superman. I have to be honest, I didn't like that one but again, that is potentially because of what I said earlier. At any rate Henry Cavill got to do a number of movies in the DC Universe ... The Justice League arc one could say and now we might get more of those with him. If they can get him to stop playing Warhammer long enough :)

James Park

Yes i believe it was something to do with the Union

Robert Foxx

No need to be sorry your not the only one. I had a girlfriend for two months and still kept forgetting her name.

Bruce Steve

You are the only reactor that I’ve come across who even noticed Superman was crying as he’s turning back time (my fav scene) and for that you have my membership

Evert Jethoe

Hi Kali, This movie is always going to be for me, and others around the world, a meaning that America was Superman. As i grew up with American movies and American cartoons, that to me America was, and it is hard to accept today?. At the same time it is sad for the Actor that played Superman, as he fell off his horse as a jockey and was paralyzed from the neck down. Rip Christopher Reeve. The S on his chest is also his family crest, and it means Hope. But people on earth seen the S, for his powers and so he became Superman.😇👍🏽

Probably my favorite superhero movie of all time. I still vaguely remember watching it in the theater when I was very young and being absolutely mesmerized with the visual effects and soundtrack. An absolute classic! Thank you for sharing such a genuine reaction! 💯

Hey Kali, you definitely have to see Man of Steel with Henry Cavill and then the sequel Batman vs Superman where Cavill takes on Ben Afflecks Batman
