Opening day just feeeels like start of summertime is right around the corner! As some of you all know, before I moved to Ohio, I grew up in Maryland and for awhile lived in Baltimore! Going to Orioles games was one of my favorite parts of summertime for years. Sometimes the hospital I worked at would give away tickets to different departments and it was always soooo much fun going with a group of coworkers and friends to the games.I don't keep up with baseball as much these days, sadly 😭 But that feeling is still there every year when opening day rolls around. And a few of you had a fun idea to kick off this season with a baseball movie!Thank you all so much for your movie suggestions, I can't watch the winner next week!🧢 Poll closes Sunday at 7pm EST

Lot of good choices

Jake Steffen

So many good baseball movies out there

Antonio

This is sooooo hard to choose from 🤔😩😮‍💨

Kevin Cavanaugh

Kali. I really think you’d love field of dreams. It’s a tearjerker, but it’s less about baseball and more about family relationships, and going against the grain. So even if it doesn’t win the pole, you should definitely watch it and I’m love to see you react to it.

Chris Truex

Even if Field of Dreams doesn't win, you HAVE to watch it, seriously.

kaliwali

Right!? I had no idea until you all were listing them on the schedule this week. Sooo many baseball movies!

kaliwali

Someone else here on Patreon mentioned I'd love this one as well for the same reasons!

Kevin Cavanaugh

Really most of these baseball movies are really pretty good. Can’t go wrong with too many of them.

Andrew Thompson

There are really five "must see" movies on that list! Lol

Michael Enos

I voted for Field Of Dreams... But you should see Bull Durham sometime.

Terry In the UK

I don't know anything about baseball at all other than what I've seen in the movies...and ashamedly I haven't seen many baseball films either. I've gone with one I do know which is A League of Their Own...a marvellous movie I'm certain you'd love Kali, and of course starring the always reliable Tom Hanks.

Morah-SDG

I suggested The Natural as it’s still my favorite, but I know you’ll love Moneyball, it’s one of those “I can watch this movie at any point when it comes on TV” type vibes.

Vhaziri

I cannot vote, because I haven't heard of a single one of any of these ^_^'

Dave M.

IT'S SO HARD TO CHOOSE!!!! I want you to see: Angels in the Outfield, Rookie of the Year, The Sandlot, A League of Their Own, and Field of Dreams. DANG IT!!!

Jonas Vanderstraeten

As a European I have no real connection to baseball, so I don't really know any of these movies except League of their own, because Madonna has a roll in it. But I've heard good things about Moneyball and it has Philip Seymour Hoffman in it, so that's my choice!

Kieran Byrne

Moneyball is so good, from someone who knows zero about baseball haha

Daz

As a Brit I’ve got no investment in Baseball but I do love Field Of Dreams, and I think you would too Kali. It’s a great movie so I hope that wins. Only other one I’ve seen is Sandlot to be honest.

Jon DeBenedict

I voted Field of Dreams. Also you should definitely watch Bull Durham, Eight Men Out, The Natural (another great Robert Redford movie), Major League, A League of Their Own, The Sandlot and Moneyball. Just put them all on a list somewhere and get to them when you get to them.

Jonah D Jackson

All you whippersnappers are too young to appreciate Bull Durham. As good as Moneyball and Field of Dreams are, it is hands down the best baseball movie on the list.

Mark S

Field of Dreams! Let’s gooo!

Sky Quest Music Official

You are not kidding when you say Opening day feels like the start of summer is upon us! Even though we know Ohio is VERY bipolar with its weather i think we're over the snow storm winter hump and on our way to blue sky and sunshine! And my Philadelphia Phillies won their Opening day game too so it's a great day!

Camron

Who’s your team Kali?

Chuckles1004

Really surprised with some of these results. IMO, the best are Major League, Field of Dreams, The Natural, Moneyball, and A League of their Own. With notables as Bull Durham and the Sandlot as well. Excited to see to what Kali reacts to. PLAY BALL! 😀⚾️ Great day, let's play 2. IYKYK

Fanchman

I know I can only vote for one, but this is my top five: 1) Field of Dreams 2) Bull Durham 3) Major League 4) A League of their Own 5) The Sandlot

Eric Hudson

Surely I'm not the only one voting for Hardball!

Scott Bergstrom

As someone from NE Ohio I must vote for Major League

Chris

Assume you included Sugar off my mention of it in the initial post—not surprised it looks to have zero votes—but any baseball fans who haven’t seen it, it’s a hell of a film that addresses a lot of the complexities for what the more modern era has been like for so many of the folks who populate the minor leagues.

Mike Adams

Almost with this was a multi-option poll lol. Too many to pick from.

Matthew

Personally, id add "The Bad News Bears" to the list

Andre Harry

She's gonna eat up Field of Dreams.

SnakeandNape

I too was a fan of the Orioles. I remember when Camden Yards first opened. I grew up in Northern VA and the Nationals were not a thing until I was an adult. I was stationed in southern Maryland for a few years and the base I was at always had Orioles and Nationals tickets for really cheap.

Chuckles1004

Is Camden Yards as beautiful as they say? Did you see Cal Ripken Jr. play? Who was your favorite player growing up? Did you ever play organized Baseball or Softball?

Narutoanime16

Sandlot was always my fav baseball movie

Farbod

Major League still my favorite baseball movie.

MO-PETE!

There are so many good movies on this poll. I hope you watch a few of the top ones, not just one

Alex Cheung

Field of Dreams. It's not an ordinary baseball movie.

PG Modehouse

Oof, the four leading films on this list are all must sees. Hard to pick just one.

Howie

I had a friend who went to Goucher College years ago so I got to see Baltimore and visit Camden Yard for a game. What a beautiful and fun ballpark! I'm a Mets fan so I went to Citifield for opening day this afternoon!

rian

I HAVENT SEEN MONEYBALL, PLS moneyball 😭 xD

McShades

Hopefully she'll watch it sometime down the road, I think she would like it, it's about the start of female baseball back during WW2...

Alan Claymore

I've only seen the Sandlot so it's the one I voted for. Had it on VHS as a kid lol. But yeah, sports are dumb. Wanna fight about it? (I'm kidding, I promise, please don't beat me up, love all yall <3)

Robert da Spruce

Yeah, I think Kali would enjoy it. Unfortunately, it’s not doing too great in the poll

Clark Kent

IMHO this is not a sport movie, I'm surprise it's even in the list. It's more a friendship, fun, summer movie that evolve around baseball. But anyway, sports is not my genre too. Very previsible with recycled stories, and using unrealistic actors that are often not athletics.

Nomyrose

OMG I can't believe The Sandlot is actually winning, it's one of the ones i suggested and my all time fave childhood movie. I'm so excited to see you react to it!!

kaliwali

It is a beautiful ballpark! That's awesome you got to see a game there!

kaliwali

It is beautiful! I didn't. I didn't have a favorite growing up since I only watched baseball when I got older and was able to go to games with friends/coworkers :) And I played Tball growing up for one season lol

Ray H

Camden Yards is an amazing ballpark.

Camron

Uh oh, Blue Jays division rival.

Kevin Cavanaugh

As a Sox fan I won’t hold that against you.

RP

The Sandlot is kids movie. Many who watched it as kids have great nostalgia for it, which is fine, but it doesn’t hold a candle to Field of Dreams or Moneyball. Just my 2 cents. 🍻

Jeff Hamilton

Oh no, such a close race between the top 3! Maybe you should do one now, one for the All Star game and one for the playoffs! That way we get baseball all year!

The Dingo

Even if it doesn't win, you should totally see this movie :)

Matt Rowland

Sandlot is overrated unless you're 12 years old and grew up in the early 90s. I loved the movie when I was 12 or 13 when it came out, but watching it recently, meh, it doesn't hold up.

Matt Rowland

Oh Kali...my Royals have eliminated your Orioles twice from the playoffs...
