I went into this month so strong & ready & honestly.. I think I've come so much farther than even last year ๐Ÿคฃ but between Silence of the Lambs and The Ring... I fear I overestimated myself bahahaha Since I'm still being haunted by The Ring & waiting for my seven days to be up before I can sleep well again (just kidding, kinda LOL) I'm really sorry to say that I couldn't hit play on The Conjuring 2 this week! As much as I wanted to brave it and have another Conjuring film under my belt... I just don't have it in me to face another paranormal film ๐Ÿ˜…Soooo I'm really sorry but I'll be saving The Conjuring 2 for next October instead!I'll be wrapping up our Spooktober next week with Hocus Pocus, which I think is what my little heart needs after such insane content here lolSpooktober: 2. Kali: 0. ๐Ÿ˜…

RedeyeCajun

I donโ€™t do horror movies so I donโ€™t blame you.

Dave Morgan

Hey you made it through two scary movies. That will do until next October.

JeRon Washington

Kali, watch Boo and Boo 2: A Madea Halloween, it's so funny

Narutoanime16

Thank you ! I saw the Talk Me Movie and this other horror movie earlier this week and yea I'm done lmao. Least with Conjuring I had some hope since there are exorcists

Chuckles1004

Hahaha No worries. We totally commend your effort. I was really surprised how well you did. Until next year!! Bwahahaha. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿงก๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ›

Chad Bushue

Awww, I cant say I blame you as Conjuring 2 is spookier than the first. Slightly disappointed but youโ€™re more important and we want you alive and reacting. Hocus Pocus is a good one Let us know when we can start submitting holiday movies for your watchlist. Iโ€™ve got a few great ones Iโ€™m sure youโ€™ll love for Christmas ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Happy Halloween ๐ŸŽƒ

KJ

It's ok. You'll just be battle-hardened for next year. I've not watched the first Conjuring so I can't comment lol. Hocus Pocus will be fun vibes. One of the reasons I recommended Ghost (1990) a while back is because yes it's technically paranormal but it's really a romantic drama with good doses of comedic levity. For me, it's the perfect screenplay. Just in case you fancy watching one more thing lol.

TChang23

The ring scarred me for literally years lmao totally understandable

The Dingo

Kali, you did really well! So much better than I could have done! If it helps, I'm happy for you to get back to your normal content. Might I suggest Agatha All Along followed by VisionQuest? These two shows will complete the Wanda/Vision trilogy started by WandaVision, and will be a good palette cleanser. Agatha All Along even has the benefit of being spooky themed without the terror of what you have been watching (promise).

Gadabout

I respect it! Thank you for getting through those 2 movies.

brandondavillan

I hate paranormal scary movies I can't watch them. Slasher movies on the other hand I can watch those all day

Sky Quest Music Official

Dude, as far as I'm concerned you CONQURED the Ring, Silence of the Lambs AND Obsession which I (as a lover of horror) had to force myself to watch again just because I was so excited to see your reaction and analysis of it. You have most definitely WELL EARNED your pass to push off Conjuring until next year!๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿค˜

Day Blueberry

That's okay, you do what your little heart can take! I'm all up in the horror, love me my horror games, my horror movies, my horror books, can never have enough! And of course Avatar, I have a lot of range I know lol I can't wait to see your Ring reaction! And everything else on the way!

20 16

Nah I remember you in the beginning and you grew a lot since the first horror movie. Enjoy the deserved rest .

BERSERKER HALL OF REVIEW S

๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จhey I get it . Itโ€™s all good though. I really canโ€™t complain about getting a HP reaction instead of the conjuring two lmaooo. Besides HP and Halloween town 1-2 are my Halloween tradition watches sense I was a little kid ๐Ÿ‘ถlol . Idk if you seen Halloween town 1-2 but if you havenโ€™t I highly recommend them for next year or whenever ๐Ÿ˜„

Bill Bowron

Disappointed, but I certainly understand. The Conjuring movies arenโ€™t easy to watch. Hopefully, youโ€™ll decide to watch it right away next October instead of waiting till the end of the month. haha ๐Ÿคฃ

Daz

Tbh you did well to get through Silence of the lambs and The Ring. I feel like I can handle scary movies quite well but SOTL is pretty messed up so donโ€™t sweat it.

Kenji Kita

Know whatโ€™s crazy? The guy who directed the Ring also directed The Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy and Rango ๐Ÿ˜‚

SidekickSteph

Sounds like you need some Tucker and Dale vs Evil in your life. Very well done comedy horror, youโ€™d love it if you havenโ€™t seen it!

KamikazeCDN

You did well. When you were feeling brave because of Obsession and Jaws I'll admit I smirked since those two are kinda tame all things considered. But again you did well, getting something like The Ring and even Silence of the Lambs under your belt is good. Maybe it wouldn't be a terrible idea to watch other slightly more "tame" horror stuff during the year to build up a tolerance before doing the big stuff for spooky season?

Liam Harrold

at least you tried that's more than most kali โค๏ธ

Bryan

noooo, my heartttt ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ˜ญ but aye, atleast this gives us something to look forward too next october

Mike Adams

If you're looking for something on the slightly creepy side, but very goofy and fun, try out Big Trouble in Little China. John Carpenter film with Kurt Russel. Probably in my top 5 all time faves.

Lukas Bretwalker

Dear Kali, if you want to see a feel good movie, try "The intouchables" 2011. If course only if you didn't watch it so far. โ˜บ๏ธ

Robert da Spruce

Not a horror fan either, so Iโ€™m good I watched your Silence of the lambs reaction, but as for the Ringโ€ฆNope ๐Ÿ˜Š

Chris Truex

While I know everyone likes watching people freak out at horror movies, etc, I think that if you aren't having fun, then you shouldn't watch it. Some people enjoy getting scared. Some do not. And sometimes there's a bit of mild sadism involved (I'm not casting aspersions here, I know that's a strong word to use). You should watch exactly what you are comfortable watching. Anyone that demands you do something you actively don't want to do is an asshole, bottom line. (I am also not a horror fan, but have some that I really enjoy... SotL being one of them, as well as The Omen, The Others, Blair Witch Project, and a few others)

Celon

I made it through your reaction of The Ring with the help of your cats adding some funny moments to it ๐Ÿ˜„ and woke up at night after a weird dream. I believe it was a mix of a scene from the silence of the lambs and the foggy Ring island. So I won't miss this reaction. Not my type of content. ๐Ÿซฃ๐Ÿ˜…

James Park

I fully understand Kali, I watched the first one through the cracks in my fingers during the day, horror isnt my thing either but there are a few horror comedies that you'd love that just take the edge off the scaryness

ITMacPro

Saw this coming a mile away. The fact it took two years to do one Conjuring. Of course it would take another two to do the second. LOL. But then you got Annabelle, The Nun series, Conjuring 3 & 4, so brace yourself. :). Tee Hee

Steve Mercier

Nothing wrong with self-wellness. Take care of yourself.

Rob Stanley

Mate, I've had your scream reaction marked to watch but I can't even do that. Even though I've seen the movie multiple times. Look after yourself

Alex Aguilera

I don't blame ya. I can do horror easily when it's something realistic like Scream or Silence of the Lambs. Once it goes into evil spirits and demons I'm like hell no.

Wil Castillo

I guess I could wait another year for The Sixth Sense...

Edgar Gonzalez

Kaliwali couldn't take it ๐Ÿ˜† Don't worry Kaliwali, I got some martial arts film recommendations for ya, so you can learn to kick ass, and take on them monsters...like Buffy the vampire slayer ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ‘ปโ˜ ๏ธ๐Ÿฅ‹๐Ÿง›โ€โ™‚๏ธ

Kevin Cavanaugh

I hear ya, Kali. I donโ€™t do horror movies either. Forget about it. Iโ€™m glad I can go back to watching regular movies with my favorite reactor.

Kapitรกny Zoltรกn

There is no shame in cowardly hiding from horror movies. I was addicted to Stephen King horror novels, and even so, I can barely watch any modern supernatural stuff. I prefer the retro, monster-horror movies, when you can get scared for a moment, then laugh at the stupid plastic "monster" wiggling towards the next victim. Maybe you should start there too next time. :)

kaliwali

yessss the mix between silence of the lambs and the ring has had me dreaming WILD things lately lol. I'm tapped out officially ๐Ÿ˜…

kaliwali

LOL it's actually hilarious that I tapped out on the first one and waited a whole year and now this happens ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿคฃ

Hans Engelen

On to the next hunger games I say.

kaliwali

Could be one I watch in non spooky season!

kaliwali

Oo I forgot about the Ghost recommends! Ty for the reminder!

kaliwali

Yesss! I'll start asking for holiday movies soon!

dohpam1n3

Ah damn, was definitely looking forward to it. Oh well, onward and upward. Hope the dreams get less weird.

Twisted Glass

Spooktober might be in the lead, but I see the gameplan: you're setting up for a monumental comeback in the years to come. Well played! Spooktober won the battle, not the war.

Lone_Starr

Maybe throw a couple of horror spoof movies in the mix, they're fun and maybe help you look at horror movies differently lol.

Jose Morales

It's all good. We each have our limits. I can horror movie marathon at night and sleep like a baby. I play a horror game, get the first jump scare, and I immediately quit and go watch an episode of the Simpsons to balance out. Lol. Great job on getting even further this year than last year.

Resuri Keiryu

I donโ€™t either. Iโ€™m looking forward to your next Hunger Games movie.

TheJoeKerr

No worries Kali, I love October and I love the fall weather but the real scary movies I can do without. The Conjuring movies really scare me like no other. Maybe itโ€™s because they are based on a real couple exorcising demons. Even if itโ€™s only 1% true it gives me the chills.

Adar Malik

It's totally fine. I LOVE Horror Movies and The Conjuring 2 (and Hereditary + Insidious) is one of the most terrifying Movies I ever saw. This will keep you up at night, especially since it's based on a true story.

Dan Gonya

Since I was expecting to watch the reaction to this anyway, I decided to go ahead and watch it on my own as a refresher. I'm honestly not sure how Kali is gonna get through this one. This may be the one movie that manages to successfully creep me the heck out consistently. Good luck next year, and God bless. ๐Ÿ™‚โœ๏ธ

Paul Ark

If you havenโ€™t watched it yet, try โ€œWhat We Do in the Shadowsโ€ (the movie, not the tv series), a comedic vampire mockumentary cowritten and costarring Taika Waititi. Thatโ€™s also a nice way to decompress from the scary stuff ๐Ÿ˜

NeonThunder

Another good movie to check out would be Monster House, its a animated kids horror movie. Its pretty awesome and isnt super scary

J. Mac

No need to apologize...you did your best. But has your cat recovered from your reaction to The Ring???

Justyn

I couldnt watch horror until i was like 22. But now that i love film as an art form i like it a lot That being said, i do NOT think ill be watching The Ring again anytime soon. Def gave me the heebejeebes

Ray alford

I would work your way into horror with the more classic kinda cheesy slasher movies like the Halloween franchise or the scream franchise or maybe even Friday the 13th although those movies can be a little more scary Also I think Spider-Man brand new day is out on streaming Iโ€™ve seen a lot of other reactors posting videos

Ryan Holmes

Dang I love Conjuring 2. looking forward to next year

Camron

The Ring is a pretty scary movie.

Chuckles1004

Seriously, perhaps you could see the Classics which are not as scary but Iconic and/or fun. Like Bram Stokers Dracula, Tremors, or What we do in the Shadows.

David Trumble

Absolutely torn between the raw entertainment value of you being terrified out of your mind and my sincere wish for your balanced mental and emotional well-being. The latter wins, of course, but don't judge me for saying it WAS close ;)

Christian F

I personally think that horror movies are the worst movies that exist. It's the lowest tier genre. I don't watch them on my own and I don't choose to ever watch them. But with that being said, kind of feel like this is a cop out lol. You big baby.

colin summers

I'm mostly ok with horror but every once in a while one really strikes a nerve. It's like a really scary rollercoaster, ultimately safe, but you can't help the way you feel. Also it would not be fun to watch some one in actual distress for two hours. So I say Kali:2 Spooktober: also 2.

Kal

You did good with the Ring, so you get a pass. We also need to let your cats recover, poor things.

hinaru

As entertaining as your reactions are, if you aren't enjoying it then it's not worth it. We want you to have a good time too ๐Ÿ™‚

pinkdino99

Remember Kali, there is no academic evidence of supernatural activity occurring. Ever. Anywhere ! Our primitive lizard brains are prone to a thing called Cognitive Bias. Iโ€™ll let Barry Goldberg explain it here ; Why Do So Many People Believe in the Supernatural: "Humans may not have evolved specifically to believe in gods, but I think it's safe to say that our intellect and capacity to solve problems certainly evolved as a survival mechanism. Rather than developing armored hides to protect ourselves from danger or razor-sharp claws to bring down prey, humans evolved the ability to anticipate danger to protect ourselves and to solve complex problems in order to figure out ways to obtain food. When early man saw the tall grass swaying, especially in the absence of any evident wind, he realized it could still be caused by the wind but could also be caused by a predator stalking him. If he assumed it was a predator and ran away, he lived to survive another day even if it really was the wind. On, the other hand, if he assumed it was just the wind and it turned out to be a predator, well, he likely wouldn't live long enough to pass his genes to the next generation. And thus, we evolved to see patterns even when they don't exist and to assume agency (i.e., that things are caused by mindful creatures) even when things happen by random chance. "Although this tendency to see patterns and assume agency was instrumental in allowing humans to survive and flourish throughout the millennia, it also brought along some baggage with it. That's evolution for you. Evolution allows species to adapt to changing environments and survive, but there's no guiding force to ensure that a particular adaptation is the "best" possible solution, only that it was better than other adaptations that did not enable a species to survive. This is why we have eyes with built-in blind spots, appendices that serve no purpose and occasionally kill us by bursting and, sad to say, an intellect that assumes that every little bump in the night must be caused by some creature coming to eat us. "The problem is, of course, that our pattern-recognition skills are flawed. Sure, they are good enough to help us survive, but they have also led us to see patterns where they don't exist and also ignore any evidence that contradicts the patterns we have convinced ourselves do exist. If we, for example, see evidence of agency all around us, in the apparent design of the complex natural world or in stories of people being blessed after praying to one God or another, we are going to stick with our beliefs in those patterns even if the apparent natural design can be shown to have an alternate explanation or we hear stories about people who prayed and weren't blessed. Psychologists call this "Confirmation Bias" and it simply means that, once we have made up our minds about something, we tend to accept any evidence supporting that belief and disregard (or ignore) any evidence that contradicts that belief. And again, as a rough survival tool, confirmation bias served us well in the past. The fact that 9 times out of 10 the swaying grass ended up just being caused by the wind doesn't matter if that 10th time ends up being a hungry predator, so it's better to just ignore the cases that don't fit the pattern and see the one case in your favor as proof that swaying grass means death is waiting to attack with sharp, nasty claws and fangs. "So, yeah. Throughout history, human societies have tended to believe in one sort of supernatural force or another." -- Ergo โ€œI heard a noiseโ€ฆ must be ghosts !โ€ can easily be explained away with logic, reason, science and common sense. It's just our lizard brains that were fortunate enough to survive sleep till dawn without being eaten by wolves that are giving us that big jolt of adrenaline at 2am when all else is deathly quiet and the cat has knocked something over in the kitchen. Also why do ghosts wear clothesโ€ฆ are they cold ?

Hey its ok if you can't do another video save it for next October I don't blame you you did what you did

Tony Wolf

Aweeee I was sooo looking forward to the conjuring 2 ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿฅบ

Isaac Noรซl

owned. i'll have to check out these reactions. i havent watched the ring since i was little, i might be in the same boat as you kali :S

McShades

And this is why I don't watch horror movies, I like to sleep at night lol...

Armand Soulliard

Yeah, Agatha All Along has got the "Halloween pretend-spooky" kind of vibes, but isn't actually trying to be scary at all. It's one of my favorite post-Endgame projects.

TheGuy

Itโ€™s amusing how the things that scare people the most are often the least likely to happen or cause any real harm. We seem comfortable watching humans commit terrible acts, gruesomely kill each other in thrillers, slashers, war movies, and moreโ€”affected, yes, but still able to watch. Yet when it comes to things that canโ€™t actually hurt us, like ghosts, demons, or witchcraft, they instill such intense fear that we canโ€™t bear to look. Perhaps the best advice comes from a borrowed thought in *The Matrix*: Donโ€™t try to not be afraid of ghosts (demons, witchcraft, immortal serial killers, and so on), just remember the truthโ€”there are no ghosts.

kaliwali

LOL yes my cat is much better now. She can tell immediately when my heart rate goes up even just when I'm getting stressed about something ๐Ÿ˜… so she knew I wasn't handling the movie at all hahah

soulspawn

Ring and Silence of the Lambs are classics. Well done ๐Ÿ‘

Dmitriy Kaunator

Your latest lineups had no light-hearted movies/series. Drama/horror/crime, anyone would get tired of watching that non-stop.

Alan Claymore

Pets are the best! Especially when stressed or freaked out, they just know, and are like, alright, lets make you feel better!๐Ÿ–ค

Eric Capretta

Man was looking forward to it but you gotta do what you gotta do! Iโ€™ll still support whatever you do (or donโ€™t do!) ๐Ÿ˜‚

Belthazor82

The Ring is a tough watch if you're not into horror. I had to watch it twice with friends back when it came out and just hated it. Katie's face in particular was absolutely haunting and I had to look away at my second watch. I never enjoyed horror - with the exception of the Scream franchise - until I watched The Haunting of Hill House, which I would like to recommend. It made me fall in love with the genre. 10 episodes of a horror series that involves the supernatural sounds daunting, I know, but I'm sure you will actually love it. It's not super scary. It's more on the spooky side. It has very few jumpscares, gives you plenty of time between the scary scenes, has deep characters and story with some mysteries that will be solved throughout the series. It's an absolute masterpiece in storytelling and cinematography with an amazing cast. I have yet to see a reactor who didn't love it, even among the ones who usually don't like horror.

Kirill D.

It's okay. But please, do "The Haunting of Hill House" next spooky season!
