I'm pretty sure in a lot of the Paper Mario games he delivers letters as side-quests. So Mario delivering letters is in-character for him.

There is actually a sidequest in Paper Mario where Mario has to deliver a bunch of letters to people.

I'm glad alex convinced brett to try the fire spell! Always TRY everything. I'm pretty sure these knights have quite a bit of blunt damage defense so I was a bit bummed last episode, hitting them for 60 dmg per button press? that's Super difficult. Flame that armor, cook him from WITHIN.

I'm replaying Elden Ring on PC now and just got to this Crucible Knight and while I still think this fight isn't that bad, it does highlight what I find truly frustrating about Elden Ring. The fight is not fun. It stops being challenging and just gets annoying. There are certain enemies FROM makes just to frustrate the player and for somebody like me, tackling that kind of "challenge" is unfulfilling when the "journey" (the fight) is such a miserable experience. Crucible Knight's attacks are timed to give you basically no opening. You have to tank damage and he hits too hard for the early game. I don't feel this way about every hard fight in this game though. There are lots of very hard fights that are also just very fun. All of the major bosses are pretty fun fights. Those green statues in catacombs make me want to quit and never play again. Long comment, I just needed to get this out. Playing this game is quite a bipolar experience for me.

I love the description for the incant this knight drops. “Creates a supple tail in front of the caster.” I can’t use it in coop because my friends can’t take their eyes off my supple tail
