"...choose your destiny or chose your family" - The choice every Jedi had to make. Or rather, the choice that was made FOR every Jedi as children. I agree, Luke should loosen up those rules. He did in the old books from the 80s/90s, but... I guess not in this new continuity.

First of all, glad the surgery went well :) True, that cowboy standoff and that attack in town gave the proper feeling that we are in Tatooine and dealing with gangs. Pretty cool to see Cad Bane in live action... a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. And the sheriff lost as soon as he turned his eye to see the deputy, Bane took that opportunity perfectly. This episode actually retconned the events of what happened to Yoda's lightsaber! In the comics, it was shown that Yoda's lightsaber was found and promptly destroyed along other lightsabers in Corusant after order 66. This episodes shows that Luke has it, but I don't know if there is any other comic explaining how it is here now and not destroyed. Back on the season 2 finale of Mandalorian, I think we all knew you would find Luke's deepfake to be weird, but none of us could tell you that it would be much better this time around without giving away massive spoilers :D That guy from YouTube that improved the deepfake from the Mandalorian episode worked on this one, he did his magic. Do you think it would be best to just recast Luke instead of trying to deepfake him? I think the technology is much better now and they could do a better job... It is also pretty surreal to see Luke and Ahsoka in the same frame, I wonder how much they have talked about Anakin at this point in time. I will riot until Disney put Anakin, Luke and Ahsoka in the same frame. I don't know how but that is not my job. I have spoken

Oh damn, surgery? Glad it went well. Named it Rocky! 😂 Oh yeah it seems like he only fires twice but kills three 🤔 It kinda looks like one shot might’ve gone through one and hit the other. Or it’s a goof in the sound or visuals Yup, this is Ossus, the same planet where Luke establishes his academy, still being set up. It has significant ties to the jedi. Some jedi scholars believe that a temple there was the first of the order, and it used to house a significant jedi library. Leia trained with Luke somewhere else. A moon called Ajan Kloss. At this point it’s already happened Yeah they improved Luke’s face from last time. I wanna say they might’ve even hired a special effects artist who made a youtube video on improving Luke’s face from the Mando S2 finale. I personally would’ve preferred if they just use a new actor, like seeing the body actor in the behind the scenes for Mando S2, he actually looks close enough that they could just use him without CG Yup, Grogu was in the temple during Order 66. But how did he get out? 🤫 The clones did start going towards him •Also, too bad, revisting Order 66 has become a staple of modern SW 😂 Luke carried Yoda while training under him, now he carries Grogu while teaching him. As the creator himself said “It’s like poetry, it rhymes.” I assume you mean the lightsaber forms, which yes there are 7, plus jar’kai (dual wielding), and the forbidden forms used by the sith but those basically have no other info This isn’t just the first, but so far it’s the only depiction of Luke and Ahsoka interacting! And it’s clearly not even their first meeting! We need more! Oh hey, it’s Boba! I was wondering if he’d ever pop up in the Mandalorian again. Wish he got to speak though. I’d love to know what he’s been up to. He should get his own show, where every episode focuses on his story. That would be cool. Waaaaaaaaait a minute…🤔 Funny. Freetown is what Mos Pelgo was named in the books where it was introduced, before the events of Mandalorian. Cad Bane! In live action! And he shot Cobb Vanth! Yes he and Boba were in prison together. Bane had Boba start a fight with Obi (disguised as Rako Hardeen) to start a riot so they could escape. Also there’s an arc that unfortunately didn’t get finished and released where Bane would’ve been training Boba because he had always wanted to see who was the better bounty hunter between him and Jango, but Jango died before they could find out. Three rough animation clips of it have been released so far. One is them at a campfire on tatooine where they encounter some tuskens, one is Boba in a chase on Coruscant with Anakin, and the other is Bane and Boba facing off. Strongly recommend watching at least the last one. You know what? Funny trivia: in a Vader comic that came out before this episode, the empire publicly melted down a bunch of lightsabers from the purged jedi, including Yoda’s, which he had dropped when he fought the emperor. So how does Luke have it? A later comic from after this episode aired established that the one that was melted down was just ONE of Yoda’s lightsaber’s. A reference book established he had a second backup saber he kept in a box in his hut on dagobah, that’s why Luke has it. Ooh! Ahsoke would’ve likey learned that Padme had been pregnant when she went to her funeral! Remember that was in Tales of the Jedi Wait, oh my god! I can actually link you a post from a blog I really like that does a lot of analysis and debunking/clarifying of SW misconceptions! In fact I think by now you can actually look at most, if not all of them. Except for one about this show until you watch the finale. Welcome back and I'm glad you've recovered well from your surgery! I 100% agree with you that they should've condensed the earlier episodes. I always thought they could've taken the important bits of episode 3 (if there are any lol) and fit them in episodes 2 and 4. But man this episode surpasses any expectations imo. Luke still has some uncanniness when he talks but compared to the Mandalorian season 2 this is eons better and honestly pretty impressive for the time. Can't go wrong with Cad Bane too who is now a solid 25 years older since the clone wars haha. Some of the best Star Wars in the Disney era. Dave Filoni really knows how to star war! Sidenote: You mentioned Breaking Bad so I'm guessing you've seen it? Have you also seen the prequel show Better Call Saul? Those are two of my favorite shows ever

I think the problem with the series and the writing is that there was a lot of chaos going on at Disney, especially between Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy and the head of Disney.

I strongly recommend better call Saul. It’s a different style of show than breaking bad but it’s just as good if not better! And they have a lot of fun connections with eachother

Better call saul is as good as breaking bad, with its own individual touch. I would 100% recommend you give it a watch if you liked breaking bad
