Oh you're in for a ride. I remember them showing the two first episodes and some sporadic episodes at after-school when I was like 7 but like you, I never watched the full series until like January 2025 when everyone else was watching Squid Game. Season 1 lays most of the ground-work but season 2 and 3 is when the series really steps up. A thing to keep in mind is that almost every major character is a child so how they react and perceive things that happened to them is like that of children, it's mostly apparent with Sokka. You're going to dislike him in your next video but you'll probably really like him at the end of the series. It was pretty obvious that you were going to like Katara and there's two other characters that shows up in season 2 that you'll probably also love. Also, I think you're may be confusing Katara with Korra. There's a sequel series called Avatar: The Legend of Korra that takes place after the events of this series. You may have seen glimpses of it aswell before and confusing their names cause Korra is a character within Avatar. Regarding the best element to be, the show does quite a good job showcasing the advantages and disadvantages of each elements. I won't explain cause you'll probably understand yourself when watching futher episodes. A fun fact is also that Dave Filoni who now is CCO of Lucasfilm and who did Clone Wars, Rebels, Tales of and Maul, is the director of these two episodes, along with a few more episodes in season 1. He was a story-board artist for most of season 1 and this was when George Lucas became interested in recruiting him to Star Wars.

They should hire Dave filoni for everything at this point

oh, nice! i had no idea this was on the way. enjoy these early days, because it'll be the blink of an eye before suddenly you're watching the finale.

Another journey to share with you, awesome. As they learn and grow the show matures. You're going to love their adventure

The transitions are a bit choppy because it comes from a time when shows were exclusively made for tv, so when you see a cut, it's most likely where they put the ads :p

Oh I am so down for this journey Ah good old fashioned early oughts cartoon sexism 😂 Zuko is voiced by Dante Basco, who you’ve heard as Jai Kell in Star Wars Rebels! There was a reference to Appa in Clone Wars! A clone trooper named Appo who had a blue arrow on his helmet It was only said once but Katara mentioned the Avatar being reborn into the air nomads, that’s why he’s not an old man anymore. You’ll learn more about this Basically every animal in Avatar is a combo animal. That’s why the penguins had extra limbs and different features. They’re otter penguins. And flying bison like Appa are part manatee Oh you’re gonna learn how very not lame air is Katara *has* cool powers. She needs to learn how to use them A reminder that Aang said said they should go to the South Pole to find Katara a teacher. They’re in the North, literally the other side if the world, and a war is currently going on. Even being able to fly, that’s going to be a long and very dangerous journey. Leaving your home and family to risk that danger just to better hone your skills is honestly kinda foolish. Now as a side quest to helping the avatar master the elements so he can end the war? That’s less foolish •oh my god you actually pointed out the potential death later! 😂 Yeah the choppy transitions are because it was made with commercials in mind. I’m pretty sure they get better, I haven’t rewatched the show proper myself in a while Sokka is 15, Katara is 14, Aang is 12

Everyone is going to tell you not to but I enjoyed the movie and the live action series as well. Korra was really good and the latest Avatar Aang movie is top tier. There’s also a new series anime that’s about to be released.
