I read that they filmed a version where Buck let Daniel go but decided it just didn’t make sense for Buck’s character.

For some reason that makes this scene feel heavier to me. Like it wasn’t just a casual writing decision there was real thought behind it.

I suppose it’s the difference between when something feels like it’s just trying to be edgy or shocking for the sake of it versus carefully thought out.

I’m not sure if I agree with your read on BB or not. I mean she believes that Kingpin killed her uncle which is pretty close to home. So it’s hard to believe she feels like she’s untouchable.

Maybe because she’s young she has that illusion of invulnerability that young people have. Where intellectually they know they’re not invulnerable but they don’t really feel it.
