Based on the pacing of the anime, i think yall will be meeting my GOAT on episode 5. I cant wait, its going to be so freaking good! Next episode will also be introducing some awesome characters. The worldbuilding between the miserable trash world and the elitist upper-class flying world is literally like in Gunnm (Battle Angel Alita). If I remember clearly, Gally (Gunnm's protagonist, named "Alita" in the US) was a cyborg thrown out of the flying World into the lower World and had her corpse found in a trash waste by a techno-nerd. This story is literally what happens if you strip Gunnm out of its sci-fi robots and add Shintô beliefs into it. Shintôists believe that spirits can inhabit any material object. And Tsukumogami, which is a belief that grew out of both Shintôism and Buddhism, is the belief that there are souls in everything that you interact long enough with. The belief is that you need to interact with it for at least 100 years. Some samurai will break their sword in front of you if you dare to touch it, because they believe your energy will disrupt the one they've been infusing inside of it for years.

It's because they try their hardest to adapt the original manga's art style onto the screen. At first, I admit i was very skeptical they could pull it off with this adaptation, because the manga's art is so detailed and unique, but you can tell at least they try their hardest.
