Personally I feel bad for Sam as well he was also shot up with v just like his brother, locked up for being mentally ill, brainwashed by cate amplifying his illness similar to his brother. Also it’s kinda interesting and can be a commentary on how people treat people differently with mental illnesses. Like his brother had issues as well but was propped up at the “golden boy” and in the end succumbed to the illness that they never helped him treat. I feel like superhero’s in the world can exist but if they are kids they need to be in a controlled environment where they can learn to use their powers properly. Also see their parents regularly for their growth.

Definitely thinking Aunt Pam was the egg donor for the IVF with Marie. Vought injecting the Compound V in utero or Marie's stem cells may have allowed for the natural birth of her sister. I think the "don't call me aunt" and "you look like her" were hints that Aunt Pam is Marie's actual egg donor.

How many actors you think exist on this planet? They can't cast ppl based on genetically 100% accurate skin tones. Ppl audition for a role and if they're the perfect fit then they get in. I love all of the callbacks to last season: "You need to stop turning into a dude whenever you want to make a point" -- Jordan turns into female form to take the stage. Plus Marie having her big confession in the Tek Knight interrogation to give Jordan the credit for being a hero (S1) vs. Jordan taking the blame for something that will paint them as a villain to protect Marie and Emma.

Doubtful. "Aunt" Pam is a fake aunt, as we do lmao. It was stated she was Jackie's best friend, no relation whatsoever. So if Marie really does look like Jackie, it's likely it was her mother's egg and donor sperm and not the other way around.

One thing I will say, however, is Jaz Sinclair is actually biracial -- so if they factored that into casting it would make sense that Cipher (or any other white guy) could be her sperm donor.

I don't blame Aunt Pam for what she did. Marie didn't just get her period; she couldn't control her powers, and it killed her parents. No regular person would have been equipped to handle her, and as fucked up as it was, she belonged in a facility that could handle her. If Pam took both Annabeth and Marie, and Marie lost control of her abilities again, they could have been next. Pam didn't have kids, so suddenly having to take care of two little girls, one with special needs, probably would have been too much.

Nah. It's one thing to send Marie away because you believe you're not equipped to handle someone with her abilities. From a safety perspective I agree with that. But to raise her sister with the belief that Marie "massacred" (Pam's own word) their parents is unforgiveable. That was clearly an accident, a situation created when the parents chose to have a superpowered kid.

I can't remember If pam was there to see them die or if she heard about it. Either way what Marie did was manslaughter and again accidently or not she couldn't control her powers. suppose Annabeth wanted Pam to adopt Marie too, how do you explain to a kid what happened and why she wouldn't want Marie in their home. "Why are you keeping me away from my sister?" "Well annabeth she couldn't control her powers and she killed your parents." And if you remember how their bodies looked in the bathroom, they were mangled up Pam's friends die and this little girl was responsible. Personally I don't love that scene and it's not as black and white as it's made out to be. Again was what happened, fucked up? Sure but I don't know what I would do and say if I were in pam's shoes in that situation.

maybe i’m tripping but i don’t get why more people don’t understand this. cate didn’t even send her friends to elmira at the end of season 1 - that was all homelander/vought’s narrative. from my understanding, cate had been pushing to get them released between seasons 1 & 2 while complying with vought’s orders out of fear. i understand why the other characters are still villainizing her, but from an audience standpoint i don’t get why so many people are still so pissed with cate.

My thing is this, yes we do not like Cate as a person because she switched and was apart of the lock up process. HOWEVER, she really did get them out of prison and back into school whether they wanna believe her or not. They clearly saw how she reacted to news about Andre and she didn’t know. Now to the point of basically killing her and leaving her for dead. Yes her power is problematic but when she’s dying bleeding out I don’t think she gonna try and fry ur brain if you’re the only person that can save her. I feel like it's even more dangerous to get near or touch her when she was dying bleeding out since there's no way to tell what her powers would do when she's practically out of control. It's almost like the "monkey's paw" to her powers, which I think is kinda the theme they've been trying to get at these first few episodes. Like hospital staff died just by touching her when she was unconscious and kinda showed that the drawbacks to powers could also apply socially, aka people are unable to help you in peril due to the inability to predict or trust the outcome. On top of the fact that she has been manipulated by others to...manipulate, which again I think that's the theme they're trying to convey with her. I feel bad because it's kinda just a curse rather than a power at this point. Either way, I think both sides made mistakes and both sides are stuck being manipulated against one another.
