I do kinda hate they followed the vibe of the what if episode and didnt take the comic route of zombies retaining their ability to think, it was truely awesome horror with robert kirkmans writing. Spidermans arc is especially peak in it and i think works much better when hes a zombie rather then survivor

Fun fact, this show was suppose to come out last year but was held up do to Agatha coming out. It was also supposed to be a movie but was turned into a show. And the only reason why Blade is in this show is because they thought the Blade movie would've been out by now lol. Crazy how things turned out

As happy as I am to FINALLY see/get Mahershela in Blade form.... HE played himself with this situation. I'm assuming he didn't like the idea of becoming Moonknight in live action, which seems like a possible route they were exploring with his original movie script. I'm only saying THIS because this whole "movie" (or the 1st episode, at least) feels like it was dependent upon movies that never released and season 2s that never happened. For example, Kate is older and we never knew her mom like that. We also never got the conclusion to Ironheart and F.R.I.D.A.Y, seeing as s1 JUST waited (we should have gotten it years ago). Even Kamala is suddenly in America??? What happened for her to end up here? I'm just saying, Mahershela didn't like the initial script and got the homie who made X-Men 97 fired (look it up). It would make tons of sense if the switch from Blade to Moonknight wouldn't sit right with the man (MK honestly dresses like a Klan member). So don't blame Marvel, or Disney... He's the only reason we haven't gotten his movie. He's been too picky throughout the whole process.

From what I heard years ago is that Mahershela did not like the script for Blade. I think the script was going to follow a girl that Blade was helping. Eternals is very underrated, it’s actually pretty good and opens up a lot of the marvel universe. If I am remembering correctly, Captain Marvel with all technicality, she is technically a being like the Eternals are, at least very similar to the Eternals. That’s prob why they showed her fighting an Eternal lol two Super Powerful beings fighting for all eternity.

I looked more into this, since most of my information was a bit dated. But the truth is this: Ali hated the scripts at first (The Xmen 97 dude worked on one of them) because it DID in fact relegate him to a side character, very similarly to this show. They even mentioned him taking a backseat in his own movie for a female lead to be the real star. He hated that shit. So he's since never been happy with the scripts they come up with, and even after finding a new director, he quit just last year... Again, Mahershala has been picky, but Marvel and/or Disney have been trying to use BLADE in ways that just don't sit right with him, and I respect that.

Eternals does. The best iteration of super speed in real life that we've had. Iron Heart doesn't. Almost 5 hours of content and Riri has zero character growth the entire time.
