wholesome episode!

This episode onwards for the rest of the season, I was not a huge fan of since it focuses on things I don't exactly watch for. Everyone has their own experiences, but this season is very divisive for a reason 🤷‍♂️

Trey Milliner-Williams

being the first to comment on something you apparently dont like is crazy

Tancho24

Yeah this episode was good, I enjoyed syd and the kid conversation. Very deep if you think about it

Diego Dominguez

Roshi any chance you guys can watch shameless I think it’s a show you guys would really love and enjoy the whole way also has the actor who portrays carmy. Give it a chance

Jamaal Ellison

Yeah, without even knowing what was gonna happen. I saw comments and from what people were saying I figured they were alluding to something like this. In the first season You're kind of just dropped in in the middle and don't have any real answers for what happened. But now, kind of started expanding on characters that you maybe didn't care much about. It's like if you tuned in for an episode of Hells Kitchen to see a cooking competition with Gordon Ramsey being swearing and yelling. But instead they gave you character backstory about people you weren't invested in.

Jamaal Ellison

Such a Jamie thing to do. It seems like the teachings of Danger are starting to spread.

Anon7524

I watch for food, cooking, hospitality behind the scenes, beauty of events, and restaurants success. The other stuff are others people's watch point though, so 🤷‍♂️

Riley

omg yes

MBA

Unrelated but we need Mr. Robot and Dark to come up off that back burner soon 🫩

Jay R.

If your not invested in some way to every character in this story you havent been a good audience because the director /writers has done their job when it comes to giving each character their own life/story and spotlight. Yes Carmy is the “main character” or at least the main POV the story of the bear is being told from (tho you could argue Sydney shares that role) but if you took ANY character out the show it wouldn’t be the same. They’ve all influenced the story it in some way, so they all deserve backstory.

Anon7524

Time sunk fallacy + lack of conclusion is why for most including me tbh😅. It's also why I'll watch all but ep 7 (which I'm skipping) of the reactions knowing I don't enjoy the episodes themselves

TheHud257

Day 3 of asking for The Long Walk reaction

Kidhavac

Off topic but ROSHI can you and sheera please play the fnaf game called those nights at fredbear😭😭

J Man

I feel bad for all the Darnells of the world getting roasted by this show for being Darnell

Xay

Am I tripping or does Tj kinda look like that one female actor on black panther the leader of the dora milaje I think her name was Danai Gurira? Lmk if I’m tripping

LaTesha

She should get a notification once changes are updated. So an email should pop up soon to her when the change is made 😬

Doodlboop123

Yall we need that love is blind vod 🙏🏼

Kevs rey

this ep remind me of that ep of Atlanta where paper wanted a haircut but he went on a whole adventure

Delinda Arts

Ugghhh this is so black I loved it! This had some hints of Atlanta in it🥹🧡

Delinda Arts

Oh wait Ayo and Lionel were writers and Hiro Murai was a producer so no wonder I was getting Atlanta flashbacks!

GojosHoho

Damn we gotta wait even longer for her to see what they changed 😓😓

dawn

this was one of the best eps to me they need to keep ayo and lionel writing for future eps you can def see the difference

Devin B

It can sometimes be beneficial to talk to people not involved in certain aspects of your life because they can offer you a fresh perspective with little to no bias

2-bit

Pantheon ?

Drewb

lol ya Shapiro is trying but def a little off due to the music and what not. seems like an ok guy but little unknowing maybe?? maybe not ignorant in a bad way but lol man just doean't know some stuff lol

Lily Rose

damn, so no horror reaction for october?

Magnis

w chantel though

Ekko08

This was such a cute episode

Esperance Adzem

the faks can really go if I am being honest. we spend way too much with them and they dont matter at all

Raventerrace

yoo this nigga Roshi wtf u on talking about cereal and microwave tf that sounds nasty lmao

DTGstl314

The "Look at me, I'm an ally!" pandering is pretty cringe, as the kids might say.

Drewb

Yes like my man just be chill and normal. Only thing I really liked was saying he wants to be sure to not just use her as a representative of a woman/black woman with no other people. But you don’t have to play rap and what not lol

DTGstl314

One line always throws me off in this episode... why did TJ call Sydney her mom's cousin? If Sydney is Chantel's cousin, then she's also TJ's cousin (technically, first cousin once removed).

DTGstl314

It's crazy to think that Jeremy Allen White was just 19 years old when he started on that show (he's 34 currently).

DTGstl314

I didn't realize Ep7 was so divisive... for me, it was absolutely one of the best episodes of the entire series. But yeah, it's definitely character focused. I think this show in general is primarily character driven. The restaurant is just the setting and cooking is just the language. It's not really about restaurants or cooking. It's about family relationships, trauma, addiction, suicide, found family, purpose, growth, etc. And Chicago. The city of Chicago is definitely a character on this show. Anyway, Ep7 is packed with all that stuff, which is why I absolutely loved it.

DTGstl314

I mean you could just like... not watch something you're not interested in? But I am curious... which two episodes do you think are the only good ones? Fishes and Forks?

A. P.

This episode is so black and I love it — definitely one of my favorites.

DTGstl314

This episode was terrific, and definitely one of the most memorable ones of the season and the series. I think there are three episodes this season that I would characterize as top tier - this episode, Ep 7, and the season finale (which is not the series finale, because the show has been renewed for a fifth season which will most likely come out in the last week of June 2026).

A. P.

My mom's cousin was her hairdresser when I was a kid and I hated going to her apartment for my mom to get her hair done that shit was exactly like this, she'd leave us there wit her 2 kids and everything lmao

CentipedeKid

This episode reminded me of my childhood being yelled at by a inattentive mother and having to be fed by my babysitter who paid for me to eat because she felt bad. Nothing like The Bear to relive trauma. 😤😐

CentipedeKid

No cheese on the beef is wild I wouldn't eat that either

B23

i don’t like the vibe of that Shapiro guy towards Syd

Lamaree Jackson

Jumping Jack Flash is a goated movie. Watch it

vaygatti

She’s not looking at it like that she’s 11. To her she’s just her mom’s cousin, and that’s that.

Nico

“You got cereal, you got a microwave, everything the body needs!” This joke is never gonna get old, kills me everytime

Fuji

whenever food is presented in this show sheera just looks disgusted lmao

Spencer

They literally put cheese in it...

CentipedeKid

You can see that they don't they didn't even do it last episode

Adrian Locke

Nigga Lupa said exactly what was going on in my head in that part in the beginning with Sydney & Shapiro lmaoooo

Adrian Locke

This episode was black as hell & I love it

5lime

THIS!💜

maui

it all seems too good to be true, like naive and and disingenuous. Like he's selling her something to get her in and then he'll switch up, start making decisions without her, or disregarding her input. Also he seem to not know what he's getting into, like there's no shape to it, no plan.

maui

hes jokin, its a reference

DTGstl314

A traditional Italian beef sandwich does not come with cheese - but I definitely prefer it with melted provolone. And a traditional Chicago hot dog can never, ever, ever have ketchup on it.

ViralCorgi

Ugh this made me crave watching more family-oriented wholesome Black movies and shows. I love this vibe. The ones with overt trauma, gang banging, or drug selling get old.

DsWorldd •

Is it a quote from a show they watched or did it originate from them being stupid in a reaction?😂

Fred

That’s why I love watching this Christmas with Chris brown every year

Koosha☯️Possible🖤💚

Lmao kills me when they quote it but naw, it's from the first matrix, one of roshi's favs, Fun fact I believe it's in his top 3 if not top 5 movies. There's a scene where keanu reeves is eating with others, and the food in the bowl looks damn gross, and one of the characters, I believe Tank, with his smooth deep voice says "it's got this this this and that, "everything the body needs" lmao. Look up " the matrix everything the body needs".
