Anyways, I love how Deku was chill about Spinner about to crush him, probably to repay him for allowing him to live due to Spinner following Stain's will about who's the ideal hero... Plus it's fitting that Spinner's the only one that can relate to Shiggy due to their love for video games, thus him being the only one to have the message be relayed to... damn that hits hard... Ochaco being the one to help others, to me at least, put a burden on her shoulders, so I'm glad Izuku got to repay her the favor for all the times she helped him out, and now he can help her out... Felt the emotional damage.... 😭

Imo the message falls completely flat considering he got a quirk to be a hero, said quirk gave him multiple quirks, the stopped being a hero after he had lost his quirk. Plus, as far as I can recall with a singular exception in the side manga, there are no heroes or villains without quirks. So I dunno, seems like author is capping.

Spinner deciding to write a book about the villains is such a fire call back. Because the My Villain Academia arc was narrated by Spinner instead of Deku. So he really ended up telling that story.

Not in this case they shouldn't. Like, at all. The signs were clear. Folks just seeing what they want to see (romance) despite the opposite being shown (hidden pain/trauma). Izuku clearly mentioned pain. His reaction to that first year seemed so awkward and unsure. Ochako was totally spaced out. She wasn't even looking at Izuku like Sheera said. And then both Deku and Tsuyu looked at her like something was wrong at the same time. Everybody is so used to the comic book ending where everything ends in happiness but like, these 2 teenagers had to kill someone or watch someone die for them. Romance would be the last thing on their minds. I give big ups to Horikoshi for this.

Because these two have been constantly given romantic tension for the entire series, it's normal for people to misinterpret the heart beats as them slowly confirming their feelings. Also, imo it looks like it's both on trauma with a romantic subtext underneath

Edgeshot was and willing to sacrifice himself for Bakugo. He said that if Bakugo explosions didnt happen he would've died bc he was nearing the end of his life. I'm assuming that his life was "spared" in a since to further show the evolution of explosion.

Yes, I understand that. Even I love this ship. BUT its just weird TO ME when that's what everyone immediately jumps to cause of 'heartbeats' when looking at the characters' expressions and listening to their voices says something totally different. I guess the manga was clearer since it wasn't heartbeats per say, the otomotopeia used was 'zuki' which is a painful, stinging throb. I guess I'm stepping on folks' toes with this. 🫣😮‍💨

I’m hoping that there being a part 2 of the documentary on Shigaraki means that there will be an opportunity for some societal self-reflection I want there to be change at least in the fictional world😮‍💨 Ochako made me cry again, love her 🩷 Also appreciate Izuku going back to quirkless actually because there is something compelling about him being a hero just as he is, no frills, just the desire to help.

Deku becoming quirkless is bitter sweet, but makes sense. No AFO no OFA. Although I think another option would have been nice if he just kept the stockpiling part of the quirk like All Might. No predecessor quirks and he continued to be the new symbol choosing to not pass it on and ending the quirk with him.
