If the new Samurai Troopers / Ronin Warriors anime is any good (fingers crossed), I hope you'll consider reacting to it at some point. It's hard to believe the original aired on Toonami almost 30 YEARS AGO. So crazy. Anyways, I know this anime season is crazy busy, so I'm guessing it wouldn't be until April at the earliest. The show is already on Lupa's radar, but I wasn't sure if he plans to watch it off camera or wait for a potential reaction.

One reason it matters is because Roshi has a business and reputation to uphold. The industry doesn't look kindly on those who share leaks. Their channel has gotten so big that they benefit from good relationships. Sometimes, they're given early access to shows (like S2 of Invincible), sponsorships, free stuff, and invites to events. There's no reason to risk all that, at least in my opinion. I'm guessing Roshi probably feels the same way, as I don't recall him reacting to leaks in the past.

I think Aka has been having some personal troubles or something lately. The thing I’m seeing is that once he gets bored of a series he’s doing, he wants to instantly move to the next thing. I think since the Kaguya manga has been done for 3 years now he doesn’t really want to wait for them to adapt the remaining half and just wants to write an original ending. I think it was the same with OnK manga, he wanted to quickly finish that so he could move onto doing something else (he had a new manga announced with the artist of Record of Ragnarok right after OnK ended). I’ve read the Kaguya manga and absolutely love it. I’m sad that a lot of the development, characters and arcs will never be seen by anime-onlies, but I think it’s one of those things where manga readers hate it and anime-onlies may not even notice. The special is rated 8.6 rn on MAL. The content is still fantastic, it’s just sad that they’re skipping SO many of the arcs.

As someone who actually read the manga, you'll be alright lmao there is some good stuff in there but there is also alot of fluff that in no way shape or form needs to be adapted. Sucks some side characters might get shafted but if the anime chooses to focus on primarily Shirogane and Kaguya and have it remain a proper romcom then I do not see that as a negative. Also.. OnK ending is reviled, you should actually WANT an anime original ending to fix that mess.

Ishigami is absolutely a side character, a great one for sure, but the protagonists of this story are Shriogane and Kaguya. Once Kaguya and Shirogane become a thing the focus shifts a lot more towards side characters like Ishigami, Miko Lino & Hayasaka. I like those arcs especially Ishigami's from the christmas party but it does make sense to skip those arcs so they can wrap up the main characters love story instead of making a season or two where the actual main characters are not the focus. I'd hope for an OVA of Ishigami and Hayasaka if the final movie or whatever does well but if the anime is just about the two protagonists love story that seems like a win, the manga is still there for the rest of the content. More kaguya content is always a win and it just seems odd to tell people not to watch something because of cut content that you or other anime onlies did not even experience in the first place y'know? If anything your just potentially ruining someone elses experience for internet outrage points.

I don't really understand this logic. I don't know if you have watched My Hero Academia but Ishigami is just as much of a main character as Bakugo is for example. If in the last season of my hero they would have cut Bakugo's final fight and offscreen his opponent just to say, "We wanted to focus more on Deku" , it would have been increaibly disrespectful to the author and to the audience that has watched for 10 years even if they are anime only. But you are saying in this case it is okay? I don't really get it. If that example I brought up with my hero as an example would have happended. I would have told people not to watch that either. You don't have to agree with me but this is my reason.

You’re overcomplicating it, without getting into the semantics of main vs side characters, Kaguya-sama is a romance anime with Kaguya being the titular character, even if you considered the whole student council main characters which is fair, Kaguya/Shirogane is still the MAIN relationship, the show exists for them get together, any other relationships are SIDE relationships. One is going to pick up Kaguya-sama: Love is War to follow her relationship, if you took out ishigami completely, you’d still have a complete story of Kaguya and shiroganes relationship. The same cannot be said for removing bakugo or all might from Deku’s story. And this is coming from someone who likes Ishigami and his side story way more than the main couple tbh lol I’m just realistic.

Just because it is possible doesn't make it okay. There is a ton of shows you could technically remove characters without changing alot but that doesn't make it okay, especially if you have set up a character in 3 seasons already and then say "yeah, he isn't important, we are gonna cut him out for budget reasons". It is disrespectful. Your "I'm just realistic" argument is just a way the studios want you to think so they can feed you slop like One punch man s3 and The Promised neverland s2 (Where they also cut out a beloved character in the manga just so they could finish the series faster. And look at it's score on my anime list or something). But agree to disagree, I don't think we will see eye to eye on this.

Haha, nah, I read manga more than I watch anime so these studios are not feeding me anything I don’t want to consume. OPM S3 sucks? Disappointing, but read the manga. Promised Neverland botched season 2? Read the manga Kaguya skipping chapters? Read the manga The answer is always read the manga (or light novel!). To your original point though yeah agree to disagree, I’m fine with calling Ishigami a main character but his relationship is still not the man attraction in this romance story. Still as someone who has actually read it though, be happy your not being forced to sit through the Kaguya rescue arc or any Shinomiya family politics, seriously they are skipping a lot of really awful stuff that may have made people drop the damn show lol

That's why the studios has to give atleast a decent adaptation for people to give a damn about the story. Now they will never experience the story. It is the authors vision and not up to the studio to change that. For example alot of people says to skip the JOJO part 1 and just go straight to part 2. Or in One piece they say to skip Skypiea. Do you think the studios should just go ahead and not adapt those just because a small part of the audience says so?

They’ll never experience Ishigami or Hayasaka’s subplot but they will still experience the main story which is Kaguya/Shirogane. Bringing up OP is speaking my language because that is my favorite manga and boy oh boy do I not like that anime lmao but no your argument is sadly starting to fall apart because both Skypiea and Phantom Blood are integral to their respective stories while the side plots they are not adapting in Kaguya are NOT integral to the main story of Kaguya/Shirogane, you get it? Also, as a JoJo fan, if starting someone off at part 3 where stands are introduced will get them into it the franchise it’s a net win personally. You think someone who enjoyed part 3 would not want to go back and see the origins of DIO and Joseph? Also.. they did skip phantom blood and battle tendency when it was first adapted in the original OVA.. just saying lol

But they aren't adapting the main story of Kaguya/Shirogane since they are doing an anime original ending. Even if they say the author is part of writing it (they usually lie, like with dragon ball evolution for example). Isn't it the studio saying: "We can write this better than the author". And I also think we just think diffrently because I still think the main story is more than just Kaguya/Shirogane relationship. Just like many romance manga have side couples doesn't mean they are unimportant and should be skipped. (Fragrant flower, Horimiya, Kimi ni Todoke, Blue Box, Polar Opposites) Just to name a few. They can be side couples but be part of the main story. I think people just want the see the conclusion to the characters they have followed for a long time (in the format they have follwed: Anime). Do you not think people want to the Ishigami's love story?

I just watched the premiere for sentenced to be a hero and all I can say is holy peak!!!.I swear I felt like I was watching a movie,man the animation alone was movie quality and not to mention the unique premise that hero's have in this world.The story grips you right from the start and doesn't let go ,it is a very unique take on demons as well .I can't wait for yalls reaction.
