based on the caption did the show skip to 220? LMAO

After they got together, the Manga has some pretty good arcs. I was hoping they would adapt those important arcs since they already hinted at it in the previous seasons, but I guess I cant complain since they've already done justice to alot of the Manga. Hopefully this new ending hits really well!

PJ Rivera

I knew it jumped a little but whoa they’re hopscotching this bitch lol

Washington Terauchi

while i enjoyed what we got here, its super bittersweet knowing that they skipped so much of the manga

Charlie baker

Surprised they wouldnt considering how popular the series is

paladar blade

Yeah given they basically cut a majority of the ending arcs of the manga from Ishigami's story (what happened at the Christmas party, why Ino had a broken arm, senpai's answer to Ishigami's confession), the initial conversation between Miyuki and his friends about 1st times and the whole Kaguya family situation I can't help but have mixed feelings on the ending. Would've preferred a season or at least another movie like the other one that at least followed an arc, and didn't skip all the way to the end and highlighted only several points. Overall though I would give the entire anime a 9 out 10 given how they cut a ton of content and rushed the ending of the anime.

Chris Collier

I’m sad we’re not getting a few arcs, but I think it’s still an alright ending

Requesting For All Mankind on Apple TV. In an alternate timeline in 1969, Soviet cosmonaut Alexei Leonov becomes the first human to land on the Moon. This outcome devastates morale at NASA but also catalyzes a U.S. effort to catch up. With the Soviet Union emphasizing equality by including a woman in subsequent landings, the United States is forced to match pace, equally training women and ethnic minorities (who historically were largely excluded from the initial decades of U.S. space exploration). Pushed by higher competition, the Soviet and other blocs favor more competent leaders, modernizing earlier and on more rational ground. With sustained investments in technology, a broad, sustained, and global technological race takes place, with a wide range of dramatic civilian effects, such as early civil rights, electric vehicles, civilian fusion power, controlled CO2 production, and no climate crisis. Each subsequent season takes place about a decade later, with season two taking place in the 1980s, season three taking place in the 1990s, and season four taking place in the 2000s. Ronald D. Moore explained how historical reality had been different from the series: "Sergei Korolev was the father of the Soviet space program; in our reality, he died during an operation in Moscow (in 1966) ... And after that point, their Moon program really never pulled together.... Our point of divergence was that Korolev lives, ... and he made their Moon landing happen.

I was surprised too. But when you think about it, the Manga ended 3 years ago. There's not alot of money to be made, plus this studio wants to adapt alot of other things as well

"Sex Pizza" is INSANE 💀 😭 😂 😂 😂

King of New York

Still a phenomenal series. There were around 70 or something chapters of the manga skipped including some really great arcs. The series is so good that I think the anime works well even with the cuts. There will also be a movie concluding the series with an anime original ending. No one really knows why Aka decided to change things but some theories are that he’s been going through some personal troubles (his wife cheated on him or something a few years ago) and also really feels the need to constantly move on and write new things once he gets bored. He’s a great writer, hope things go well for him. For anyone who loves the series I highly recommend checking out the manga!! Lots of development for the side characters.

Sekraan

My understanding is that the same team at A1 working on Kaguya-sama is also handling Makeine which got a S02.

Unknown

Couldve animated the scene with no fondling scenes. Ts felt weird af

crack

Now just gotta wait for sanda

Sekraan

Not as crazy as Kaguya-sama: Love is Hentai

Kris Barnes

Yes, Shirogane leaving on the flight happens like in the final arc of the manga. Quite a few arcs were skipped in the making of these episodes

Dyastro123

Groping? You do know that groping is NONconsensual..... this WAS very consensual.....

Matt Rhinehart

They skipped like 3 seasons worth of chapters lol. But i still like what we got

jose

Yeah fuck no 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Rob Pait

The missing chapters kind of meander, and aren't well liked, especially the ones about rescuing Kaguya from her family's meddling. The end of Ishigami and Tsubame is also akward as fuck. Aka was clearly check out and focused on early Oshi no Ko. This was a greatest hits list of the end of the series, and the movie is going to be an all new ending that Aka came up with.

cœur

Honestly it’s weird because I think pretty much only the kaguya vs her family arc was bad imo and most of the stuff even after Christmas was well received so I’m not sure why they went this route this early. They coulda retconned stuff down the line which would be fine because that arc is definitely the weakest but there’s still A LOT of good stuff they’re seemingly just skipping over . And the actual ending isn’t even necessarily that bad it just felt rushed given the arc I mentioned which happens right before the end.

Inconspicuous Pug

I can’t believe they skipped the sugar daddy arc

GormleyPeach

I'm the opposite, I hate when love interests drag on for hundreds of chapters. This is a exception. But most of the time I like the stories where they get together relatively early in the series.

Leopold

With how I remember, the arcs they're skipping were considered mid to bad.

thepenguinlol10

I'm hoping we get miko and ishigami romance in the final

Gilthwixt

I could literally write an essay to you explaining just exactly what went down with the final arcs of Kaguya and what was left out of the anime, but I don't really wanna bore you with all that and plus I'd have to explain all the stuff the manga did wrong too. Pretty much, everyone agrees the author started caring less about Kaguya and more about Oshi no Ko around the time he was wrapping up Kaguya, and kind of phoned it in. You guys are getting the highlights of the main couple with all the bad stuff cut out, which is for the best. I did kind of wish we got the full Ishigami redemption arc but it is what it is. Maybe they'll turn it into a spinoff movie or something.

Xemnas27

Having Ishigami’s pivotal scenes get cut really sucks ngl

Krype

Not sure if I should even watch this since they cut so much

Bob Bob

Roshi here is summary of the situation. 1. Ishigami's and Hayasaka's own important arc of character development got skipped. 2. Mini side plots got also skipped (who was random dude in the last minutes in the airport). 3. We will not revisit the skipped chapters in the movie. 4. The Movie is anime original ending for the story. We will not conclude the show with the manga ending.

Marcie

you and me both 🙏

Paulothy

Ahhh, ts bout to make me cry! I missed this show man

Anime can save you

RealPersonMan

Me too bro. I really wanted to see poor Maki slowly die inside. Now its just kinda manga spoilers for anyone who wanted to get the whole story.

W Wang

I'm not sure of the specifics, but if Akasaka actually had a hand in this, I'm so pissed Mangaka's on their way to ruin every aspect of something decent that they created:

Seibahhh

this motherfucker aka akasaka ruins EVERYTHING when his works are about to end (yes it was his decision to skip content and make an anime original ending in the upcoming movie)

Unknown

Buddy, the likes on the second comment was cus i used the word grope incorrectly. Noone here advocates on minor hentai like what the fuck you’ve just said

Deshawn Smith

shut yo bitchass up lmfaoo roshi does not care in the way you do

Unknown

And youre fucking trippin if you think im reading your essay on how much you think youre right to like it

Unknown

Move on nigga, you got places to be

_monjiro

Blud also had a hand in writing the part in Oshi no Ko where the live action adaptation of a random throwaway manga FROM THIS SHOW was treated poorly. Im letting bro cook for now, if it sucks it sucks, I'll let people know the manga is good.

_monjiro

To be honest im just happy we get more Love is War. And im a little glad Akasaka decided to do things different with the adaptation. A lot of shows are exact one to one copies of the manga with a few extra frames or lines cut here and there, so having a completely different ending to explore is refreshing. It's like how some novel franchises and their cinematic counterparts dont align one to one, but add to one another. Ultimately if it sucks then I'll just refer folks to the manga, its just as good read as it is watched.

ZOOM

Dont agree. i think adapting it in a different medium is enough change

Luiz Neckel

I agree especially because the later part of Kaguya is in my opinion not kaguya anymore. There's nothing that wont be adapted thats better than what we already have, so we are not really losing much, now obviously igf the original ending is trash it will be sad but even with Aka writing the new ending i still trust the anime team to do a better job than the manga ending.

Sieger

Not exactly unhappy with this choice of events, but I liked the original flow of the manga, especially the closure of some side stories. Although there is only one reason I can think of that would make sense to do this, which is to introduce adult Kaguya sooner, for certain reasons...

Coogie

Holy L take, changing something that's already been done in a perfect manner is just going to degrade the original piece of work. The only cases where it SHOULD be changed is if it's an anime original or if the manga is inherently a pile of shit. Comparing novel franchises to cinematic counterparts is a completely different playing field as well. However, this is still a good watch.
