This speedster villain is probs one of the most busted characters in the series, and yeah I know how fucking insane that is to say about MHA!

Im thinking the villain guy could be a VERY early version of a nomu due to the possible multiple quirks and the glowing crack in his face anytime he uses one. Also unless im misunderstanding, that was definitely not superspeed when everyone froze. The guns were able to fire multiple rounds each, if it were just super speed, the slides on the guns would not be in position to shoot again. It could be an oversight by the show OR the quirk might be able to accelerate anything that he is holdimg or touching if it truly is only super speed. The way he spoke also made it seem like "good insight" meant "yea thats true about THIS quirk" (but not about the second) or maybe "thats true right now" (and then he somehow boosted himself with trigger while held down). IIRC he appeared at the very end of last season. We already heard AFO working with the Queen Bee Girl to distribute trigger and introduce chaos. So him having 2 quirks and an AFO goon would not surprise me.

I'd imagine for the villain that's the speedster: his "time-slo-mo" bit reminded me of when the live action Sonic was able to do that during the Bar scene, the rockets aimed at him (latter two from the first film), and the other time he was able to go through the barrage of rockets on the snow mountain in the second film.

Roshi, my god, this is how speedster's perception looks like. To them they register shit so fast that it looks like time slowed to a crawl and stopped. Honestly, super speed, time travel and warping work hand in hand as time-space manipulation anyway so you aren't completely wrong on technicalities but its just extreme speed. Red Rush (from invisible) had this same perception and so does Flash and Quicksilver when scenes are shot to where you follow their perception of the world as they move normal and everything halted.

Police actually shouldn't have fired on the speedster in those situations y'all were yelling about. They don't know the extent of his quirk, and they only have rubber bullets. I'd actually understand the complaint if they had actual bullets, but rubber ones aren't going to be worth anything in a quirk universe. They don't know anything about this guy, other than that he can move somewhat fast. They don't even know how effective the bullets will be if they hit. The detective's approach made sense, since there's no point in firing on him if he can react to the bullet. Waiting for a rest period gives them the highest chance of winning, but it's still very much in the speedster's favor. The police are there to handle arrest and coordinate the sting, once a strong quirk is involved Fatgum is basically their only lifeline.

Time wasn’t frozen. They were just moving slow compared to his super speed. I wish they’d rewind to the bird in that scene, you’d see it slowly flapping its wings to show that time is still going. Like everyone said, more like Quiksilver than timestop. And it’s funny watching this as Americans cuz the solution to every police encounter is “why aren’t the police automatically shooting this man?!?!”. Goes to show how used to police violence we are here in the US.
