Izaiah

Much love from TX, yall killing it!💯

Honored one

Agreed!! I'm from Texas as well🥳🥳

PJ Rivera

This really fills the void of the OG MHA

Senpai

Everyone thought he was choking the chicken, but turns out he was trying to show off his pussy.

Boogie

Make it 3 from TX

Rob-ert

AY FUCKIN YO 😭

ThiamThi2

Damn, now that we’re getting the flashback im so mad he died

Gavin fox

I think people don’t like him bc of his quirk kinda kills the vibe whenever he shows up. But also his quirk is like something a villain would have that’s why Aizawa doesn’t seem happy about his quirk but he made it work.

Gavin fox

Midnight have less clothing it’s bc of her quirk same with Momo from class 1A she wears less clothing so she can create her objects

Frederick

18:38 Lupa you good 😂

Jnutt913

The reason erasure is getting looked down upon is because it's not really that strong in a 1v1 situation like he was in. He he hasn't yet covered his close combat weakness. He can use the binding cloth but if I'm an 8ft tall, 300 lb villain, nothing is really stopping me from going over and punching you in your head while my quirk is erased. Once that weakness was overcome it's easy to look at erasure as a more busted quirk. This is seen in the main series as well with Shinso.

Solemnity

I don't think anyone was downplaying the strength of Aizawa's quirk, I think it was just a parallel to Shinso. People just feel really skeptical/weirded out by the concept of it being used on them. It's the type of quirk that people would probably associate with villainry.

Deep

Its more so like what shinsoo quirk and togas are like they can be used for good in a sense but erasure literally is disabling most people on the planet for as long as he would want to and so its considered a bad quirk

Saint Nexus

I understand Lupa and Sheera being sad about Kurogiri, but am I wrong to be more sad when seeing more of Midnight? She not only died but was killed off screen by random foot soldiers while injured and alone. I'm sure she was content with her life, but the anime kind of just brushed right past her 😭😭 Edit: you can be sad for both, I'm just saying I'm more when seeing Midnight personally

Kris Barnes

I think they’re skeptical of Aizawa because his Quirk requires the user to be physically strong and skilled enough to subdue an enemy without help. Present day Aizawa beats up people twice his size no problem but when he was 16 he didn’t have the strength or ability. Plus it’s not a very superhero-y Quirk like producing clouds or a mega voice

Tearonex

Fun Fact: This Flashback Arc happened before it was revealed that Kurogiri was Shirokumo in the main manga, and it was mostly because due to the reveal that a ton of people got into Vigilantes, personally one of my favourite arcs in Vigs!

Xemnas27

Aizawa Days lets goooo

fatJahorse

I agree with all the other comments. I think it's more because Aizawa's quirk really isn't that 'flashy' compared to that guy he was facing, who was kinda like Bakugou. Like for Quirk training, Aizawa can only really train his Erasure to last longer by staring, unlike other students who might shoot larger fireballs or multiple of them, or make a bigger crater in the ground like Deku, or boost his own speed (so it's a Shinso type of situation) - his quirk isn't versatile in that sense and he can't really be creative with it either. It makes it harder to see Aizawa's 'progress' as a student compared to the others. His weapon of choice is probably also quite unique? So they may not have faith he would improve with it either. And we see a direct comparison of his hand-to-hand combat in this episode too. He's significantly better at it than when he was student, so his teachers probably just never thought that this gloomy student would EVER become a monster with his scarf binding cloth thing. His lack of motivation probably also influenced his teacher's perception of him as well. I do think it's interesting he says "my quirk makes it harder for other people," I'm pretty sure I remember Aizawa being able to selectively target people with Erasure? Maybe he hadn't discovered this yet hmmm....

Delinda Arts

Shirokumo hero design so clean man! Horikoshi knew this much sauce couldn't last much longer lmao

ZeroChance

A quirk like aizawas is considered more villainous, wiping away something naturally part of them, just like the drug used to erase quirks, they'd group his quirk together with people like shinso who takes control of people and of course all for one whos straight up stealing. And of course can be difficult to have alot of success with if the physical ability isnt there.

SecondChances96

I hate to be annoying but this and MHA vigilantes aren't marked as season 2 so it might be confusing in the collections or if people search later

Vinny Deluca

Not written by Horikoshi actually, Vigilantes is by another author, Shirakumo was created by him and cleared by Hori, then brought into the mainline series later

Vinny Deluca

Really cool detail is that we met Shirakumo years before it revealed in MHA that he was Kurogiri. He was introduced in Vigilantes first then brought into the mainline series after

Ekko08

I was not expecting to see princeee💜. And I'm definitely here for the flashback, need that lore

ImperialVX

Yeah every time she appeared in this series I felt sad seeing her. I like to think that Aizawa decided to look after her cat since she isn't around anymore to take care of it.

GormleyPeach

Down playing the Eraser ability is so crazy! Give him a tazer and he beats 99% of everyone in this world! Lmao

Coco

No wonder Aizawa took Shinso under his wing, the quirks are seen as villain quirks and aren’t necessarily useful combat wise unless you REALLY know how to fight, Aizawa didn’t know how to really fight yet so it makes sense why they thought it was trash

Isaac

From what I rememver they've established Shirokumo was killed in action. Aizawa and Mic saw it happen and there was a brief frame flashback of their shock seeing him dead. His body was crushed and he was deemed dead, not missing but his corpse was stolen at some point by AFO and The Doctor to create Kurogiri.

Nashty Doud

They’re dead wrong for that outfit, just belt and skin 😭😭

Devin B

It's understandable why Aizawa wouldn't get the hype that he has now because he hasn't really used his quirk in a practical sense yet. Like the student he was fighting said even if he can erase quirks if he can't do anything afterwards then it's just a nuisance to others at best.

Superduperfantasy

No in MHA they show a scene of Aizawa finding shirakumo’s body 😔

WTT_321

Anyone notice how Shirokumo looking like Son Goku with his Nyobo and Flying Nimbus? Did they do that on purpose on him? ALSO interesting detail that Kamaya/Midnight was the one that kept the orange cat that Shirokumo picked up that Aizawa just gave an umbrella to cover itself from the rain 🙃 ALLLLLLSO, now we know why Eraser Head, Shirokumo, and Present Mic were called the 3 Dumbingos lol 😂

WTT_321

It’s pretty f*cked up how AFO and “Doctor Robotnik” swapped out his dead body to turn him into Kurogiri 😞

WTT_321

I wouldn’t be surprised if Aizawa saw some of his past self in Shinso due to being treated the same, if not similar, way with a “useless” quirk…

Fuji

midnight got lupa caught up lmao

T.H.

3rd year in Japanese high school is basically senior year, so yeah. Sexy 18 year old midnight.

DonnyBoxcars

Well yeah, he and Goku are based on the monkey king from the Chinese myth Journey to the West.

Coatl45

I agree with what Sheera said about All For One. His brother said the same thing, that Zen Shigaraki’s quirk could’ve been the greatest power to help and heal that ever existed. If he had chosen to do good with All For One, he would’ve been revered as a saint, but instead, he chose the path of a demon.

rebillihp

roshi they are in a hero society its not really fully about what his power can do. its how heroic and what it can show, and erasure us just not good at that

Clinton the Bingethinker

12:09 fr tho Roshi 🤣🤣 nigga couldn’t just acknowledge at an inside-voice volume

DonnyBoxcars

It must have been done after the funeral and before the cremation. I'm assuming all his friends and family saw him one last time before he was slated to go to cremation, unless his body was that mangled that they didn't want to show it.

Arturo

Reading this flashback then finding out Kurogiri was Shirokumo a few weeks later in MHA was so heartbreaking in 2019💔 😢

Ark the Birb

I don't think they're saying he has a bad/trash quirk. I think it's just more about how he, himself feels about it. Anyone with a mind can see it's powerful, but Erasure doesn't feel confident in it, with that mindset it is dragging him down. Especially when he's trying to be a Hero, even the teacher mention how he's not really focus on his goal, if he has one. His homeroom teacher hinted that it might be Erasure perspective/mindset on his own erasing quirk is hindering him, thinking it's not that great. They're also not saying Mic quirk is better, they're just saying he has a better personality for it compare to Erasure. I think they mention Mic has a more charismatic personality, fit for a hero. Compare to Erasure whose all doom and gloom about his own quirk.

DJ Muldrow

Horikoshi never beating the allegations 💀🫩

halsa

dark and silo waiting room 🪑 (pls roshi)

naa

We’re here 🪑

Tearonex

Not even his designs, literally the spin-off artist's

Jasimine Carter

Great episode. Hilarious reaction. Roshi saying Go five blocks down took me out😂😂

SlackyTv

I dont mind the flashback but Vigilante doesnt have much episodes so I think a Special Episode for a Slight Main Character would have made more sense or the Reasoning will be super Rewarding for Koichi

Kisuke01

I mean Roshi you have think about it even in MHA Aizawa was tryna push ppl to be heroes if their quirks were ass. So it doesn't surprise me that in the past because his quirk disabled ppl for how ever long some didn't consider it useful. Cause with all the prejudice most ppl are probably like when will I ever lose my quirk or feel helpless

Jojo_avena

Lupa: "I didn't draw that shit!!" Took me out HAAAha

DonnyBoxcars

Yeah but Horikoshi oversaw and edited this series in order to approve of the story and to make sure there weren't any continuity errors.

DIOR

nigga tryna justify bein attracted to high schoolers kys

WTT_321

Huh, he didn’t strike me as him from first impressions back during what, Season 5? Then again, never saw his quirk nor even read Vigilantes so there’s that… that’s cool to know tho.

T.H.

oh cool daily flame war from hypocritical uppity nigga. I am going to explain why to the audience you a hypocrite and a weak ass bitch. You are consuming Japanese anime, which has an infamous reputation of normalizing underage teens being sexualized and putting them into various situations such as being child soldiers as an entertainment fantasy. Most of these bitch ass authors and their horny ass fan base cannot count up to 18 nor 19 when they decide to sexualize a character. Do you like Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto ,and various shonen jump shit? Do you like American Superhero comic books stories? Do you go to anime conventions? If so you are more cooked than a nigga at a Klanmen's BBQ. Japanese High school has 3 years and the last is when they become of legal adult age and graduate into the real world. Both American and Japanese school system built their last year of education around the bare minimum legal adult age. The moment an author can fucking count, you get uppity with telling a person to kill themselves for pointing out the sex appeal of both an adult and fictional character. Midnight, whose main gimmick is weaponizing sex appeal and being wild in both this and the original show. In OG we see her as an adult in her late 20s as the "R-rated" hero, while thirsting for underage boys. Here we see her wild ass as an 18 year old that somehow bypass the super hero dress code, which something should have been done with way back given Superhero society has been going on for several decades. Go take the anal beads out of your puritan ass.

RoninSensei

Roshi all he does is turn quirks off. If he can't throw hands he still loses. If Mike Tyson could fly, but i could turn that off. I'm still dyin bro.

Offw0rlder

Listen if I was a UA student then, I woulda definitely been right at Midnight 💯

General Grevious

I cannot believe that Prince is canonically in the MHA for universe😂

MTGLordOfLeaves

I wonder who is taking care of that cat now...

MTGLordOfLeaves

Pretty sure this design was mentioned in the OG series.

Tripleflipb

Yamada's "YYYEEEEEEEEAH" sent me bro

Koji

kills the vibe due to quirk training, so makes sense. but against villains he will ALWAYS be top 3 with being useful

Bear

Where’s ep 6?
