Nah, anyone talking down on season 2 was on something because what was this peak? Plot twists and answers, character arcs for the main cast made me appreciate literally everyone, especially Bernard. It may have similarities to Fallout as a concept buuuut it's an analysis of humanity and how we behave

Amazing reaction and you guys caught a lot I did not in my first watch. I have a theory without reading the books and just purely off what I have seen in the show. I Think that the U.S. went to war with Iran and lost. The only reason I think they lost, is based on what the silos do. They give a pretense that your safe as long as you stay inside but that's not really true, If you break the rules you get sent out to die and if a rebellion is successful the whole silo gets murdered, plus they have what seems to be a Watcher AI following their every move. The detail I mention a couple episodes ago was how far the people in silo 17 made it. At least a 100 of them made it over the hill Half way to silo 18's crater, I think that the other surrounding silo's pumped out the poison and that's why they died. The parents of the teenagers that survived in the silo were sick or got sick later on and they were pretty much babies when the rebellion happened, so I think they either developed a slight immunity to the poison or enough years passed for the poison to dissipate from the silo.

Season 2 fully wrapped up book 1 content and now for season 3 they will adapt book 2 which is mainly about why the Silos were built and then book 3 which will explain the outside world and WTF is happening there

I highly recommend reading the books they are pretty fun read, some stuff are different like in the books like they were uniforms and Sims and judicial don't exist

Im not a s2 hater but I can understand it. The pace was kinda weird compared to the first season and yall had the benefit of watching more than one episode - whereas silo watchers in real time only had one episode a week and depending on which episode it was, i could see some episodes hitting worse for ppl than others.

Glad I started the show with the crew, with S3 optimistically happening this year it'll feel like less of a wait. I'm going to assume For All Mankind is up next for Apple shows, but I hope they will consider Slow Horses down the line. British spy thriller featuring a cranky, shit talking Gary Oldman. Lots of intrigue and actually quite a bit of humor. Already has 5 seasons out with it renewed for 6 and 7.

I'm fine with this season. Still a lot of questions. Creatively wild story decision to keep Juliette separated from the rest of the cast for an entire season. Must have been a crazy read in the book. And yes Juliette looks like she's wearing a fire-retardant suit. The white suit was fucked up.

Humanity's survival is probably dependent on them staying in the vault. Hence why each vault thinks they the only one but only the IT shadow and head know about the others and have guide book on what to do. Its not good enough to tell people its not safe because there will always be that one dreamer who starts a rebellion dreaming of outside hence why no relics and purposely exposing people to the poison upon cleaning. Then if people start going out and surviving and other silo's see other people it just creates a chain reaction basically killing off humanity. the environment is probably so cooked it will never be safe to go out. That safe guard is probably meant to sacrifice a silo to prevent them from having other silo's learn of their existence.

Watching Jules run about in that other silo doing very little for weeks was such a drag when I was watching the weekly releases. The pacing isn't going to be as bad if someone watches 2 episodes a week or straight up binges it

It’s kind of wild to think about...where the show has ended so far, we’ve only just about reached the end of Book One in the novel series, and not even fully😂 But as of this last episode, we have finally reached the beginning of the Book Two arc now (sort of) - titled 'Shift'. So I'm excited they're doing 4 seasons. We've got loads more to cover, and they've REALLY expanded on the character developments and plotlines for the tv adaptation compared to the books.

To me the Fallout show is dumb fun. I enjoy it for what it is and I like the aesthetic of the show but story is bad and is carried by the ghoul. I still enjoy the show regardless. With Silo I overall liked it more and it genuinely is an overall better show. The mysteries are way more intriguing and the story is better written.

yes and no. both post apocalypse survival bunker stories with political and authoritarian power structures but Fallout mostly takes place on the surface. Silo is totally underground until the flashbacks in the s2 finale. Silo is more grounded and Fallout more fantastical.

Loved the quip of her aura farming on the hill. Also insane prediction by Sheera, when I watched it I didn't suspect it'd be a dispenser at all. I just got thrown way out of my seat by the change of scenery just like what you said Roshi. Appreciate you too Lupa fyi. I'm really curious about what happens in the third and fourth season. I've managed to avoid spoilers so I've got no clue what's going on. I would assume that it'd be a somewhat different world from Fallout, just for variety's sake and to avoid copyright. I've heard that the books are apparently great. Spitballing: Obviously the first difference to Fallout is that most of the world seems unaffected by the dirty bomb. A little bit of rads but nothing dangerous. There seems to be a bit of insider info in what the congressman knew that he didn't tell from what the reporter and the general public knows. I'm curious to draw some parallels with the structure in the silos. The congressman, what equivalent position is he in I wonder. Might he be a Sims, Bernard or Lukas. Or maybe it's folded in onto itself and he is more like a Juliette than those other three. Although a similarity with fallout is the silos, that seem to be some sort of an experiment. Because I'd assume that no one in the silo has any rads affecting their bodies, so in that sense the people in the silos have in that case been preserved. I wonder if the world might be in some sort of danger, different from the higher ups sadism in Fallout causing that world to fall apart. For example the silos might be an unethical means of saving humanity, rather than to experiment for the sake of monopolizing the world/making money. Maybe they feel that their hands been forced. I find this exact comparison to be unlikely, but I could imagine it to be like an alternative path to The Last of Us. They see something impending and are desperately trying to stop it. I suppose it'd be much like another show that idk if I should name in case you haven't seen it (wicked). Overall lovely reactions of this and I'm looking forward to seeing you react to s3 & s4 once that starts coming out in possibly a couple months time. From a quick google search the filming of s3 was finished in 2025, and the production of s4 starting quite soon right after that.

You're not wrong. I just think they did better with season 2 than I expected. Season 1 pacing felt off for book readers because there was a lot of filler that wasn't in the book in order to end the season with Juliet going outside. I was worried there wasn't enough in the second half of book 1 for a whole season but they managed to do it so I liked it better than I expected.

going on a foil hat theory here, but knowing these type of shows, the "war with iran" might just be a scam planned by the US and other world leaders to make an excuse to start the silos and experiment on them or something. A biological bomb was probably dropped on the US by Iran, but it was part of the plan.
