Poor Sagiri tryna be as peaceful as possible now she feels the tensen are rein’s victims similar to them and the shogunate in a way or like Gabimaru and his village chief even. She just ko ppl when she has to fight but she had a better chance convincing the tensen than the new arrivals with the way they’re moving 😂

Seeing Yuzuriha come back felt like when a kid gets reprimanded by their parent for doing some dangerous shit but they’re glad they’re ok, pissed at the misdirect but happy she ain’t gone (I do think it would’ve been better writing/story wise if she died but aye we here)

i think because of the pacing and structuring- its not really great. i mean think about what happened this season? one initial fight, then cave, then the fights we just wrapped up last episode. thats literally all that happened. also this show fails to establish characters emotionally because we dont spend proper time with them like nurugai and then we get to an episode where they just expect us to be invested in characters we barely get screentime of, the only other thing that comes to mind is the trope of killing someone off only to immediately bring them back which i dont need to explain why its disliked. just not the best spot to leave this season on

first season is two days, i'm going to assume its similar in s2... ironically makes everything less believable from them forming bonds to gabimaru spitting blood 9 times

Haven't read the manga so dont know. And It only felt a bit slow in the beginning and abit fast at the end. Also while it's too early. S2 still got a 8+ on myani reviews. We still gotta wait a bit for it to average out to see how people generally feel.

You are so wrong in so many ways. Manga brought back yuzu like 20 chapters after her death. There was gabi vs chobe, then the cave, and then fights for a literal 6 episodes that you spend 2+ episodes with characters. Its a short series in general, they are not gonna spend 5 episodes just so you can get attached to someone. Sounds like its just not you're cup of tea

that is an awfully convenient way to dismiss any sort of criticism. yes its a shorter story, but that doesnt change the fact that the pacing is awful- from what i've heard the structure was completely different in the manga too. i also love how you say im wrong i so many ways then you talk about the manga which is not the anime and proceed to repeat half of what i've said. regardless of how much time theres spent between bringing yuzuriha back, the trope still mostly sucks because it removes weight off of characters deaths because they lose their meaning. it becomes especially quesitonable when they decide to make it damn near immediate and then them giving her a fake death....

It's literally because she's indigenous. She "opposes the shogunate" simply by existing. They killed her whole tribe and stole her land.
