But the thing is, Matt is a die-hard Catholic, and murder is a sin. So he is really grappling with how he should handle Fisk. Also, I don't know if you know this or not, but Matt is an asshole. He treats murder like Batman treats guns. If you use them, he thinks less of you as a person. Case in point, in the comics, he accidentally killed someone. Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist—three people who accidentally or even purposely killed before—came to his aid to make him feel better. He basically told them that he's not like them because he's not a murderer; he's better than them. This was said to his friends who cared about him and were only trying to make him feel better.

This Shadowland suit or a variation of it is dope. It's my favorite live-action suit so far. Matt is giving real Batman energy in it, and I hope he doesn't change it.

Matt? Catholic? Wouldn't know it if you only watched Born Again cause for some wild reason they've severely minimized or outright stripped it from his character. Maybe I just missed some mention of it last season cause I checked out during a Heather scene or something but it's weird that it hasn't been acknowledged beyond him standing tentatively outside a church.

I keep hearing the next five episodes are gas, so I'm hoping they can shove my bitching and moaning back in my face, but so far I've found this season to be aggressively mediocre save for the fight scenes.

But even in season 3 of the Netflix show, he heavily considered killing Fisk, and only changed his mind when a "better" option actually presented itself. But at this point, he has to know that throwing him in prison simply doesn't work, and will only cause them to repeat this song and dance in a few years at most, so Catholic or not I still feel like the repeat of the whole "I don't want to kill" is stupid in this instance

Well, out of the way, Fisk won't be the villain of the next season, and we know he won't be mayor because if you've seen the *Spider-Man* trailer, Sheila is the mayor now. She's giving Peter the key to the city, so he'll probably end up in jail. If you've seen photos of Charlie Cox lately, he's got a big, burly beard, and he said in an interview he had to learn how to fight in a different way, so he's probably in prison. I guess they're doing "The Devil and the Cell Block D," which is probably why the Defenders could reunite to protect the city on his behalf next season.

We complain about realism in shows, but then we're okay with comic-accurate suits, even though if a hero is fighting street crime, they're gonna get stabbed or shot. They need protection. If a cop ran into a hail of bullets, you wouldn't question why he had on a vest, right? Because he needs to protect himself. So why do people complain about the TV version suits when he's doing the exact same things?

It would but I think the show doesn’t do Matt’s full powers justice. His radar sense’ range is extremely wide and extremely strongly detailed down to a very minute aspect of the surroundings.

The thing is murder is murder no matter how you slice it , you’re still taking a life but I believe certain things should be done for a better tomorrow. And honestly I don’t wanna sound like I’m defending the no killing rule but when you take a life the first time, it gets easier the second which is both good and bad. You could become someone who kills when you believe the opposition something slightly wrong or you could battle with morality of it but still kill regardless when called for, it’s a very philosophically brutal road it’s just that shows don’t portray how painful it is.

@Carlos They showed in first season Matt praying and mentioned that he goes in and out it from time to time. The catholic angle is till very much a part of his character we just haven't spent as much time on it compared to the Netflix seasons 🤔.

What Matt mostly means is that Foggy wouldn't want Matt or Karen to go down a vengeful path where they are just taking out whoever. He would still want them to do the right thing as he tried to do as highlighted in a flashback episode this season. With that said, if the truth be told we should be more mad at the justice system for not doing more to lock up Fisk or he should have been given the death penalty a long time ago. I bring up the same with the Joker or whoever else when people love to complain about the hero not killing the villains, and that's usually because they put them in the hands of the law who really are to blame if said villains easily escape or in Fisk case easily take control all the time lol.
