The show is genuinely too damn good. It makes me wonder (but for the love of god don’t say anything) just how the ending was apparently fucked up. Though I don’t trust the opinion of anime fans in that regard since endings being bad becomes a meme that people repeat. I’ve heard plenty say Attack on Titans anime ending was fine or even great for example.

Yeah Dyastro's got a point. If Ai and the twin's dad was a messy teenage situation, then that means their grownass half-brother was the result of grooming/rape towards the father at an even younger age. Absolutely doesn't absolve him of potentially setting up Ai to be killed, but that was terrible for him to go through.

I’m also hoping it’s this since the story calls out the sorts of issues/nature of industries, it wouldn’t ‘ruin’ his character for me if he was evil from the jump like All For One or similar but I’d really prefer if he wasn’t so it really drives home the themes of the story
