As tragic as it sounds, in the beginning, it sounds like something a friend of mine actually did go through... Being taken advantage of by his step mom through his early adolescent years. Fucked him up, for sure. My understanding is that the father was abused by the older actor, and she ended up pregnant. THAT'S why the husband actor freaked SO far out that he killed them both. There was no coming back from this, on either side. Again, Tragic. But this shit happens IRL, too.

The craziest part is that all of this has pretty much been laid out in full if you've been paying attention to the timeline of events/Taiki's dialogue from the last season, but there were people who couldn't put 2 & 2 together and were adamant that Taiki's mom must have been the same age as Ai since they were in the theatre troupe together. Completely ignoring that the troupe employs actors of all ages.

Damn Kana never catching a break, I can see where she is coming from cause atp in her life she feels nothing is truly her own so she wants something to hold onto but it's cool to see that there are certain lines she isn't willing to cross. Favourite character in the show.

This was addressed in S1 or 2 when Ruby was confident that aqua wasn’t sleeping with Akane, Ruby was literally saying she would never respect him if he did. Because if he did, it would be a slap in the face to their mom to risk putting another girl in the same situation Ai was in.
