so the thing in yellow, is just a forever shapeshifting entity huh? if this place has had countless cycles, that means there was always a shapeshifter present in each cycle, kinda makes you wonder, was this thing already here in other seasons just not something we recognize, i used to think the dream entity from season 2 was its own thing but now it kinda seems like the thing in yellow is the dream entity. thinking like video game logic for a second and with every season we progress towards the finish, the difficulty gets higher, the thing in yellow could only seem to psychically attack in season 1, then in season 2 making dreams into reality, and with season 3 making the humonsters(humans into monsters) more cruel, manifesting the kimono woman as well, whose to say that is not the thing in yellow just able to be seen as something more "human-like" and then in season 4 now we actually see it, flesh and all and able to seemingly change into anything or anyone. the way how this place seems to work almost seems like a balancing system, if one side gets crucial information the other gets something perhaps of equally beneficial. this really feels like a game. cosmic forces beyond understanding convincing humans to live forever but this is what they meant by "living forever", to live in a never under cycle of a game.

I think the issue is that we're been here Four Seasons and the questions/answers columns are looking a little lopsided on the question side. For every 2 answers, there are 6 more questions that pop up, and a lot of the characters are still behaving the same as they did in the first season. People still aren't really talking to each other. With everything that HAS happened so far and It feels really scrambled. Etc.

I just personally assumed those answers wont start coming until we are approaching the ending. I dont think the first half of this season has felt like a slog or wasted episodes as some might. I think the second half of this season is where the ball is really going to start rolling.

The thing that absolutely BLOWS me about this show sometimes is you mean to tell me that less than 2 days ago in universe, Tabitha and Jade discover that they’re reincarnations of a couple from the original incident that keep coming back to try and save these ghost children right? They discover this through a series of a VISIONS and shit of the kids and that leads them to a specific place where they play some random ass song and remember everything Keep in mind that LITERALLY JUST HAPPENED(still haven’t even talked about it btw), and yet when Ethan comes and says he’s also having visions of some shit all of sudden its “oh he’s grieving, he doesn’t know what he’s talking about” Like dude how many times are we gonna have these revelations and then everyone just….goes back to walking around, being mad at each other, and not saying jack shit about what they’ve been seeing?

ok i got a giga nutso theory, i dont think Julie is a storywalker. it doesn't make sense for her to be able to go into different points of the "story" and be able to interact and change them. multiple characters have said once a story has been told, it cannot be changed. to me this implies, the stuff Julie is doing is something that was always going to happen or she is something else. be it storyteller, or maybe even author/writer but her focusing on the books and saying "maybe someone wrote these because they have dreams about this place" really kinda felt like a hint that some time ago in some other lifetime, Julie wrote these books and that's why she can do this. i think she's also a reincarnate but not related to Miranda (i know that really complicates things because Tabitha and Julie are family but i dunno makes sense to me)

I saw a theory on a TikTok vid that the clothes Julie “thrifted” are the bookmarks she’s currently using. I believe that her hair strands will become her personal bookmarks that will give her more control over story walking. My theory elaborating on the TikTok vid, is that even though the clothes are the current bookmarks, they don’t have a specific point to go to. So what happens is that Julie story walks to where the previous owners story ends, when they died.

I can understand Viktor not communicating- he's been stuck here as a child, never grew up and as far as he's aware the only thing keeping him alive is his ritualistic behavior like measuring the trees (even though right now it's more like a coping mechanism for him). I love these episodes but PLEASE, can they start ramping up instead of spending all this dialogue building it up? My main gripe is, some of these characters spend entire MINUTES telling us stuff that is obvious, or that we can reasonably come to the conclusion of. We don't need that- we need more progression of the story quicker. Still, loving this so far.
