In normal conditions I think Katarina would've remembered her mom coming home bloodied. However, her mom is trauma that is evident she never addressed. So as she grow up, she probably block a lot of memories from her. Is the normal response of the brain to trauma like that.

I feel so bad for Helene(Katharina's mom) she was sexualy abused her entire life and had to keep getting abortion after abortion since she was a minor until she gave up and had Katharina. We don't know if she ever found love or not but it doesn't look like it so she was probably jealous that her daughter found one.

Hermann Albers is Katharina's uncle not just father and the shephard that was shown briefly in season 2, is older than her a lot and incest is a theme of this show. Helene have never changed her last name and she was never married officially which is weird for a religious woman in the 80s too. If she kept getting sexually abused by her uncle from age 12 and had to get abortion chances are it kept happening especially since evidence show that she kept getting sexually abused by the same person

This is the most intricate time travel stuff I've ever seen. It keeps blowing my mind. The 2020's kids were swimming in the same lake that had Katharina's body at the bottom of it. Towards the end of season 2 didn't they make a joke about a body being at the bottom of the lake? It was before they prank Martha and pull her under the water. I do have one nitpick, not a big deal, just an observation and maybe we just have to chalk it up to the paradox of time travel. The show has kind of glossed over it so far, especially when it's the other characters' time traveling and interacting with themselves. Katharina 1980's and 2020's version passed/interacted with each other in the school in the 2nd episode of this season. Hannah's 1980's version was accosted by Katharina's 2020's version. I woud think that those kind of incidents would be something you'd lock in on if either Hannah 2020's version saw what Katharina grew up to be like and for Katharina 2020's version if she looked in the mirror and said I remember seeing myself looking like this. It's part of why Mikkel (Michael) was cooked for most of his adult life, before being pushed over the edge by Jona's meeting. /Hopefully that all makes sense! Roshi made the point aout Katharina's mom being bloody, beating her, and saying what she said. Again, maybe that's just time travel, and something that I wanted to type out before jumping into the next one.

I don’t think it’d be that big of a deal or plot hole imo. considering how much young Katherina experienced in that time frame (sleeping with ulrich, getting abused by her mom, dealing with Hannah framing ulrich for false rape), it’d kinda make sense for her not to remember briefly seeing an old “crazy lady”. Consider how long it took for her mom to catch on after a few visits for example.

The one BIG difference between this and a lot of shows like this, is that they don't do that fuzzy "flashback" kind of sequence. Like any other show would have it flashback to them going, "a woman drowned on this lake once". This show just sort of let's you remember or not, look it up or not.
