This is one of those episodes that flies by this and Wistoria felt like ten minutes to me. I was waiting for the next scene to come up and then the episode ended. We got some really good animes right now.

I just noticed that giant skull which you could say represents death had a tree on it which could represent life. This enforces the themes of duality in the show which is pretty cool.

The way the villagers are questioning them after their return seem suspicious, not like the normal kind of worry when someone has been gone for an evening. I think they know about the bandit, because first off, how did the bandit know to come into the village when there's a barrier in the first place? So it can't be an outsider, so has to be someone involved with the village. The bandit is an assassin setup to maybe have Yuru spawn Seal like Asa just revealing how she got Break. Would make sense why Yuru's father told him this feeling of being targetted with murderous intent will always be coming after him, because of who he is. Possibly also the reasoning the parents chose that evening to run once they knew the village couldn't be trusted. Just don't know why Yuru wasn't also taken.

So what I noticed that no reactor has noticed is a very important couple of questions: Where did that bandit come from? And why was Yuru’s dad so certain that his buddies wouldn’t attack the village? The village is protected by a barrier keeping the modern world out. There’s no way that bandits could hide within the barrier for the centuries since the village was cut off from the outside world. And if they came from outside the village, how’d they get in? And that’s ignoring the fact that it’s the modern world outside. How’d people that dressed like medieval bandits just so happen to wander into a mystical barrier and just decide to off some 6 year old kid they found in the woods? All of this smells like a setup.

My first thought was that it was someone from inside the village that was trying to activate Yuru's Seal power. At that age Yuru probably doesn't know everyone in the village and the dad just said it was a bandit so Yuru wouldn't be scared of everyone when they got back. We've seen when they captured Asa that they're willing to kill the twins so it makes the most sense to me rather than being some rando that found Yuru in the woods.

I wonder why they were keeping only Asa in a cage to begin with. The simpler explanation is that she's a girl and they wanted to protect her from threats. But that makes less sense given that it was Higashi village assassins that have been coming after her since she left. My theory is that, since she's the twin of day (Yuru being the twin of night), they were keeping her in the dark to keep her power under control.

not really, how would you know they willing chose to not comeback. Just cause we saw what happened with Asa doesn't mean the same outcome of a choice to be given will happen for the other twin.

no to keep her from being seen. theres no power to be controlled if she doesn't have it. It's easier to protect her and keep her hidden if you just tell her shes a priestess that must stay in a sacred place and never leave it. Plus the only threat isn't just people from outside the village, what if she is walking around and a radical villager decides to kill her because they really want break. Yuru has it the worst because hes literally always exposed to a threat in a way.

Why can’t they just ask “I'm right, I'm left” about the village and more about what seal and break do and the importance given that they seem to know what the power is and didn’t tell Yoru yet. Dang so I guess a big portion of the village is slimy with a lot of secrets. This was a good episode all it needed was some disrespect done on Gabby and her dentures cause her knee caps need to get Clipped or something. She killed them simple village folk and mother instead of just moving past them with her pokemon, nahh she gotta pay for that. Raise the hate Gabby agenda.

Dunno how I didn't notice it before but when they showed his father I had no doubt in my mind. Yuru and (especially)his father bear such an uncanny resemblance to the Ishvalans. It's like Edward Elric but with ishvalan blood. His father is almost the spitting image of Scar's brother with long hair. They represent Ishvalans and are being hunted, just like they were. The parallels!

I think what makes it interesting even during its slow moments is how we're being fed information. It's not all action -> information exposure -> action. We are getting into the mystery of the twins, the disappearance of the parents and how the village is involved while stuff is getting slowly chaotic.

The twins get 2 choices, they can try for the power or choose to die. There is still a chance he could die if he goes for the power. It's not guaranteed. One of the last twins tried for it 400 years ago and died anyway.

I always thought the guy twin was drawn after Ed, but realized he's more similar to Alphonse after I saw the other girl's jacket. A lot of other similarities. Daemon that ambushed gobble girl looks like the chimera. Old man's daemon looks similar to envy's transformation. Fat guy here was similar to gluttony. Assassin in tights who fled was similar to Greed or Kimblee. Hana - Rose. Twin's dad looks similar to Winry's dad....etc
