Anaïs

Ready to cry again watching the last scene

Jamaal Ellison

The was the level of bittersweet the ending of Game of Thrones was promised to be.

Inconspicuous Pug

If anyone else wants to watch a time travel shenanigans movie, I recommend predestination

Jamie See

This was one hell of a ride that's for sure. Really good show.

Pop Pop

they should probably check out The Leftover if they haven't yet

maurizio piras

watch 12 monkeys its another great show about time travel

briana

Now that the show is over I can say that Claudia, Noah, and Bartosz were my favorite characters. I felt so bad for Noah and Bartosz. I know there was no time but I wish we got more scenes of Noah and Bartosz together. I also liked the scenes of Jonas and Noah when they were young and middle-aged. Claudia's goal was to make sure Regina lived and she succeeded.

Monika Jackson

I believe Boris was supposed to be a red herring.

A L

The show never says it outright, but the family tree confirms that Bernd Doppler (Helge's father) is Regina's father. It explains how Claudia came to take over the plant after him, and provides additional context to a creepy scene between the two of them earlier in the season.

L S

i would love if they some day reacted to lost, but tbh either after this or from it makes sense since its like dark, a sci fi mystery drama and these two shows show perfectly how television advanced since lost was the first major drama on freetv, it aired weekly, has far more episodes but also was assumed by the network to run indefinitely while dark was the breakout show for streaming when it comes to having a ready script/story for 3 seasons before even making the first episode. dark is probably one of if not the best scripts/ best written stories ive ever seen. that being said one thing lost does even better than dark is characters and soundtrack, both just having more heart in them. i never really was able to connect to most characters here emotionally because its just not the focus of the show and most characters who do get their emotional moments are mostly shellshocked by whatever was just thrown at them which makes sense.

L S

mind you, all this insane writing, acting, casting, directing etc and blind wave put this show and TLOK in the same tier on their tierlist.... i've never felt more offended about someones opinion on a recreational media product😭 that is straight up unbelievable

Hanno

Claudia is a nuclear physicist while Jonas and Martha are high school dropouts. Of course she'd know a lot more than them and play 4d chess

Zanni

Y’all they already told us what happened to Jonas’s body. More than once, even. Like ain’t no way you’re still asking this😂 They even spoon-fed us by showing him get zapped by lightning, as Lupa said. And then older Bartosz explicitly told Hanna when she arrived with little Silja that it’s cause of the time travel shenanigans.

Kite

This is a true 10/10 show for me. It was perfectly executed throughout and managed to tie everything together by the end, which is tough in a series like this. Would love a Black Sails and The Expanse reactions at some point, though I’m grateful you all have reacted to pretty much all of my favorites already. (Scissor Seven up there too)

Zacost

“It was perfect. Perfect. Down to the last minute detail.”

Hanno

Now we've reached the end - what we know is an ocean, what we don't know is a drop

Hanno

Claudia tells Adam about the third world before she is killed by Noah

Hanno

Jonas tell alt-Martha "you look like her" because this is the first time he's been to her world. He's not the Jonas that spent time with her and then died. To him she just looks like his Martha who was killed by Adam

Zanni

When Jonas asks her, “was the Jonas in your world different?” he meant the version of him that was saved by Martha. The Jonas that got shot by scarred Martha. Cause when she saw him in this episode, she was like, “omg you’re alive!” “Oh wait, you don’t even know who I am.” Lol.

Hanno

In s1 Jonas is asked by young Charlotte if he can bring the birds back to life and he says you need to get to them before they die and on this episode Jonas & Martha bring Tannhaus' family back to life by getting to them before they die

Spencer

Predestination is the bootstrap paradox on fucking crack lol. I love it so much.

Zanni

Claudia and Adam explained how they have to use the brief window of TIME STANDING STILL (during the apocalypse) in order to change things. So that’s where they were, in that blue place, right before they travelled to the origin world.

Spencer

Honestly I feel like bittersweet is really the only tone that works for a series finale especially for a dark show like this one and they nailed it.

CaptainFlowers

Never forget, Jonas and Martha? High school drop outs who thought they knew everything about time. Nah step aside for nuclear physicist CLAUDIA BABY. She solved that shit, because, you know, she actually had an education lmao Also, a thing I do love in this ending is how Tannhaus' son, Marek, said he thought he met a pair of angels - and in a way, he really did (Jonas even has a 'halo' around his neck, like a symbol of an angel grounded in the real world). Jonas and Martha saved his and his families lives, ended an eternity of suffering, and did it all just to fade away. Pretty powerful stuff, considering the whole reason Tannhaus (God) split the world was to save his son and granddaughter. Just like it was said, he couldn't let go of the things he desired, and broke the universe, until the universe literally repaired itself to prevent his lose, and give him back his desires. This show is fucking amazing.

Pastel Soda

I sure did lmao never fails

User10101

"I think Jonas is a beautiful name" 🥹🥹🥹

Marcus

If you think about it tanhouse actually succeeded in his goal by using the machine which created both worlds and birthed Martha and Jonas who saved his family

A.

That scene turned me against Bernd instantly. Flirting with a 12 year old is so disgusting.

Jacob Livingston

Im saying lol. The show is really confusing but I was so frustrated they didn’t catch that and kept asking. They showed what happened and bartosz even said he looks different bc of all the traveling.

A.

Boris was important so Bartosz could exist. Even though Bartosz and Boris are outside the knot (time travel incest), Boris/Aleksander only met Regina because Ulrich and Katherina were bullying her over the false rape accusation. So if Ulrich doesn't exist, Boris bleeds out in the woods alone.

A.

My favourite theory is that alt-Martha and Jonas are actually the reincarnation of Marek and Sonja Tannhaus so they are the reason both worlds exist and they work together to save their original selves/the origin world in the end. The way they interact in that one scene is also very intense and weird. Sonja is even an anagram for Jonas and MARek TannHAus has Martha in his name too. I think Adam gets all bubbly because of all the times he injures himself working on the god particle. We see him getting hurt several times, and he works on it all day every day for decades.

Jacob Livingston

Charlotte wasn’t tannhaus daughter. It was his granddaughter, he lost his son and his son’s wife and their daughter who was named charlotte.

KalkiTheEternity

That’s not what happened either. They said it like three times and the first was like a season ago. There is a toll on your body from traveling so much. Do you think he just got struck by lightning on every part of his body?

A.

Claudia is the undisputed favourite, but I'd go for Hannah and Charlotte to round out my top 3. Most pity points go to Mads Nielsen, Erik Obendorf, and Yasin Friese. Probably Helge and Katharina from Adam's world too.

A.

Rewatching the show makes it very obvious that Torben Woller has a crush on Hannah. He says no one understands why she married Michael because she's so pretty she could have had any man in town, and he's so mad at Ulrich in Martha's world because he's cheating on Hannah.

Hanno

The only people who survive the show are those don't exist because of time travel shenanigans

Dallas

Shed some tears seeing older Jonas fade away (middle aged) his teary eyes persuaded me

nitehikari

Yes… yall forget this version of Jonas was still learning the mechanics of Time Travel and then got sent back to the 1890s with limited tech. He became obsessed with making it work that he didn’t care how he got hurt.

malfunct

yay! we made it to the finish line! now rewatch the entire show, knowing what you know now 🤣

suhbrly

CLAUDIA THE GOAT FIGURED IT OUT ALL BY HERSELF 💯💯💯 adam and eva could never

Xemnas27

Yeah I don’t think we’ll ever see a show like this again. Pure mindfuck peakness

mysterioussfox

Basically, Claudia kept Regina's father a secret so that Adam and Eva could not use that connection to their advantage. Claudia did this infinite times through trial and error to figure out how to break the loop.

Crofo

In the end, this is a story about love. The horrible, toxic lengths that we can all be driven to for love, but also its beautiful tie between people. A perfect show.

Hanno

THIS is how you end a show. It's clear that the writers had thoroughly planned all 3 seasons and there isn't a single plot hole because of it

Hanno

Middle Aged Jonas didn't have a clue what was going on

Jacob Livingston

Y’all pls watch a breakdown on YouTube to fully understand everything lol

Jacob Livingston

Everyone born from the knot won’t exist. Everyone else will, that’s why everyone at the end is still alive bc none of them were born from the knot.

Hanno

I feel so sad knowing so many characters that we love die but at least they don't have suffer over and over again

mysterioussfox

On a positive note, Original Tannhaus' experiment actually worked (without him knowing) because the 2 worlds he created eventually saved his family after infinite pain and suffering of his creations within those worlds. All thanks to Claudia making subtle changes infinite times in those worlds to make it possible. Claudia the MVP.

sol jam

Bro a show that ties every loose thread by the final episode? This is really rare. Beside Pantheon I can't think of more shows because how rare this is!

Darth J

It's insane that taunhauss created the time machine to bring his son back to life and he succeeded because the world's he created were on infinite loop until they figured out how to break the cycle which was stopping his son from dying, Thus bringing him back to life

Hanno

The Boris (Alexander) plot was completed. Boris and another guy were criminals involved in the killing of a guy called Alexander. Boris took Alexander's identity. Alexander's brother Inspector Clauden was told to come to Winden so he would eventually open the nuclear waste and trigger the apocalypse

Hanno

One of the greatest shows of all time and easily the best mystery show of all time. I never get tired of rewatching because of all the details that are caught only on rewatches

sol jam

I don't think this Jonas is going to be our Jonas because it's a different father. I think her naming it Jonas is meant to tell us that the two timelines caused ripples in time, so surviving people will have déjà vu every now and then

DilliePickle

And he’ll never know. What a beautiful show ❤️

Dallas

Marek and Sonja some fine shyt ngl

Noah Angkotta

GOT and Stranger things could have learned from this show

AnnaSama

Bernd is in the picture with Regina and Claudia that we see at the beginning of the dinner party. They all look really happy, so I think we're meant to assume that he isn't a creep in the original world. He's not rich either, since Regina is living in the modest red house.

Zacost

By creating a bad time machine he ultimately create a path were his family end up safe in a way his machine did succeed it’s purpose

L S

whole lotta shows... the entire advantage of having high budgets for streaming show would have been to do as dark, which is to take the time to write the script all the way before you start full production, unlike traditional television which usually wrote season by season on the go because of release schedules so they have content to run unlike streaming which is obv on demand and often releases entire seasons at once. stranger things literally took the traditional approach and even then ironically lost which was from the freetv times, still managed to write a way better ending than stranger things which had all the budget and time to do the opposite... we can only hope dark inspires future producers to do the same

Zacost

it’s kind of remind me of the choice u had to make in expedition 33

AJ

I agree that Hannah and ulrich’s baby was miscarried. That’s why Eva sent Egon to her. I think we’re supposed to assume Eva and egon then ended up having their own baby together.

DatBoi Lol

I still cry at the disappearance, Jonas "ultimate fist bump" reunion, and old Ulrich meeting Katarina again.

Daniel Martins

As someone else in the internet said " Tanhaus plan to save his family worked, just in the most roundabout way possible"

CrimsonSuzaku

the cop storyline was important because he is the reason the apocalypse in the first world (Adam's) happens, well he was the catalyst because of how noisy he was and basically wanting to uncover what's happening so bad, that he was the reason one of the two main conditions of the apocalypse happened (1- the demon spawn messing with the voltage in the plant and 2- the barrels are opened) --> As for Eva's World it was different because the reason the barrels were opened I suppose, was Aleksandr coming clean after a spiral of bad events happened to him (1- Regina's death/ 2- Bartosz being mad at him after learning the Truth of his Identity and 3- Hannah's Blackmail) So when charlotte came to visit him and he said I need to show you something I think that was him coming clean and opening the barrels. --> That is why there was a delay in the time of the apocalypse between the two worlds the first having the cop to rush things up --> That delay was key for Jonas and Adam to change things

Saphthings

Listen, only other series that's a masterpiece for me is Sense8. That series was amazing. By the creator of The Matrix. I hope one day you give it a chance.

Mads

Makes sense since Claudia is a nuclear physicist and Adam and Eva never even finished high school lol

dunk

I just finished FrankFreezys first watch of this show. I loved yalls theories throughout. Sheera was on point like always ❤️ sad its over but I hope yall watch Dark Matter, its like this shows sister

Saphthings

I love how in the end you see Peter with the transwoman at the party (forget her name). In all of the timelines the knot kept having him be with Charlotte but he always kept finding her in her trailer. It's because that was his true destiny.

PetersThimble

They already told us what happened to his body(IE: Jonas). They explicitly said it in a previous episode: It was due to time travel not being kind to his body. Yall maybe just forgot that part

Denzelwya

gonna miss the dark comments and reaction amazing series so many plot twist and amazing characters

User10101

Fr did you see his face when they were all disappearing? He was the only Jonas that was like "what is going on?"

Learning Leisure

Regarding the cop thing, it was largely to do with Regina being married Alexander “Kohler”, who only met her because he saw Regina getting bullied by ulrich and katherina. Then Clausen (the cop) is lured by a message (either Adam or Noah?). Since ulrich no longer exists, Regina doesn’t get bullied and Alexander doesn’t meet her, so he doesn’t get hired at the nuclear plant. And since Adam and Noah no longer exists, Clausen doesn’t get tipped about Alexander’s location.

Learning Leisure

It’s real crazy Regina, Katherina and Hannah seem to be friends (or at least on friendly terms) now that Ulrich no longer exists. No bullying for Regina, no obsession for Hannah, no misery for Katherina cause of misguided love. Crazy how much of a negative influence Ulrich had for everyone.

Learning Leisure

And he’ll never know the misery that was caused. Although then again, since the worlds no longer exist, was the misery caused at all? 🤔

Squaler

First thing that Adam said in their first meeting was how he got them scars. Roshi is literally a full season behind the how. Lmao very on point for him.

asdasdasdas

MARek Tan-HAus = MARTHA, sonJa = Jonas? "Things may not happen in the same way, or in the same time. But they do happen."

Mea

The ending went a little differently than I expected. Things wrapping up the way they did made sense in the end though. I'm just sad about my faves no longer existing (i.e like Jonas). Noah, who I disliked at first, grew on me later in s2 and also became my favorite. I understand why they can't exist as well as why its better for them not to. Also lol at Torben's mysterious eye injury remaining a mystery, okay then. And I see people recommending some other time travel media, so I recommend Primer and Donnie Darko. I've been a fan of both for decades and I love their takes on different types of time travel. Back to the Future is another but you guys probably saw those already.

Jaja

tanahaus really a villain 🤣

Jamaal Ellison

If I were one of the parents of anyone involved in making the show—a writer, producer, or showrunner—I'd totally call my kid or kids and make sure they're okay. If they need to talk about anything, anything they need to get off their chest, I'd let them know I love them because this series is pretty dark and has a real big issue with killing off parents.

Learning Leisure

Same for old Martha, who was probably more worried about her “unknown” triplets/son when she stared at the chalked family tree with the infinity sign disappearing.

siusz

Peak show 10/10, now we follow up with mr.robot and we're watching back to back peak... 🤞

fluffypuppy2k

Please please 🥺🙏🥺 next anime be Isekai oji-san please 🥺🥺🥺

Learning Leisure

and In a way, this technically a “the villain was actually won” type of show. Adam wanted to destroy everything and finally got what he wanted.

Learning Leisure

@KalkiTheEternity It can’t just be the travelling causing it though. Otherwise Noah, Claudia, and Eva would also look like Adam (and not just with a cut on the face)

Paul-Junior Black

Glad I rewatched Dark with y'all because I finished the show like "I ain't understand nothing but I know this is peak". Now I understand and its is even more peak

Paul-Junior Black

Lmao aka everybody that's not a Tiedemann outside of Regina

Learning Leisure

Additionally, Clausen (the cop) only came because of he was tipped off by someone (either Adam or Noah). Since Adam/noah don’t exist, Clausen doesn’t know.

Learning Leisure

And to bring up what many already commented, Claudia figured it all out cause she’s a nuclear scientist, while Martha and Jonas didn’t even finish high-school. 🤣

blud

WHAT A SEX!!!!!!!

Rosa

Also reginas dad is helges dad, that´s why she is not part of the paradox and everything

Jamaal Ellison

I love that the solution they came up with. For all the death and destruction and all the incest. Ultimately was to just throw the whole world away. 😂

Websites

i think old claudia already told egon she was sorry, because remember everything after jonas killed the origin is new, so it must have already happened. middle claudia asking her to tell him likely does happen in every loop, but in this version it just didnt until after claudia intervened.

Heather

I hated that conclusion

Heather

Sad ass ending

Jamaal Ellison

It took me a little time to come to grips with the ending it's also kind of sad that because the kids aren't around their parents' lives are a little happier.

Alberto Moreno

Basically, I know other people already pointed out the purpose of Clausen on all this being a catalyst. However, his storyline is also a misdirect and lead to other theories. So tecnically, Aleksander's real name is Boris Niewald Niewald. Niewald being: Nie: Nielsen Wald: Kahnwald It ends up just as a misdirect, but it can also mean that are pieces originated from the loop but that aren't relevant for it to keep repeating itself. Because yes, Aleksander is important to the plot, but his origin (Even if its related to the loop) doesn't matter but its actions

Danielle

I’m sad that it’s over

Websites

more shows need to start with the whole thing planned in advance fr

C

Generational. Mr. Robot too pushing for that sooner than later. Thanks for get n where you fit in y'all!

jaahman

Ending had me in tears. I love Jonas and Martha. Going to miss this show. Claudia was the mvp.

Delinda Arts

THE END IS THE BEGINNING AND THE BEGINNING IS THE END

Delinda Arts

Adam is the epitome of "But I followed all the rules" lmao

BalmunGG

10/10 Show for me as well, I'm glad you guys enjoyed it, I hope you'll recommend it to other reactors, more Dark reactions would be great.

Nick

The show almost lost me when they brought in the additional branches after going in some much detail with how everything was connected in one big timeloop. Because it felt like the show broke it's own rules and that there should be a bunch of more branches if one was possible. Glad the episode plugged that potential plot hole, and gave a reason for why there was only the 3 branches.

Zay C.

PEAK 🚨 ‼️

Jamaal Ellison

Also Tannhaus's daughter-in-law Sonja is gorgeous.

Narcissistic Humility

I was actually thinking this the entire time, Adam was always more right than Eve.

Jay

In a way Tannhaus achieved his goal of not letting his family die. He created the Time Machine to stop the accident from happening but ended up splitting the world in 2 different timelines which then after infinite loops ended up in saving his family if u think about it. He is the only one who truly got what he wanted from time travel lol without actually even having to create it in the end technically.

MBA

Such an amazing show and special reaction series, no cap having this to look forward to every other week got me through some rough times these past couple months. Thanks guys what a journey.

Zanni

@Learning Leisure Besides them literally showing and telling us👇🏽 This is straight from the internet: “Adam’s extensive scarring is primarily the physical toll of building and constantly using experimental time travel devices. As middle-aged Jonas, he spends decades working to perfect the God Particle and the Sic Mundus time machine, repeatedly subjecting his body to intense electrical arcs, radiation, and the volatile molecular effects of time travel”

Zanni

Even in Genesis lol Eve was wildin

Zanni

Yes 💯 Lmao not them thinking it was a waste of time or a plot hole. Dark has no plot holes😤 You just gotta lock in.

Zanni

Omg

Zanni

Bro it’s like they were watching with their eyes and ears closed lmao

Simo

i need a bonus video with the family tree hahah

Spencer

It's cancelled, so they'd be watching an incomplete series and intentionally blue balling themselves .

Danielle

Wait helges dad and Claudia 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

LJ

Yeah so the entire Nielson family tree was a result of time fuckery. So as long as you weren't connected to the Nielson's, you existed in the origin world. Also Hannah's baby with Ulrich would've just been Silja, Noah's mom, in the Eva world.

Fizzy 🐉

I wouldn't say dark does time travelling best i still have stein gates above it easily in my opinion, either still solid show

Learning Leisure

@Allison In all fairness, the alternative was the cycle of suffering and death constantly repeating.

Learning Leisure

@Jamaal Ellison If your refering to Katherina, Hannah, and Regina, I believe the happiness isn't because of the kids not existing, but because of Ulrich. Considering Ulrich isn't there to bully Regina, become Hannah's obsesseion, or cause indirect misery for Katherina (the false rape charge, her mom beating her, the affair etc). If the kids still existed but not Ulrich, they'd probably still be happy, IMO.

cobra22

Jonas had to experience the first great cataclysm like Shinra 😂

cobra22

Sonic Generations ass shit lmaooo

cobra22

& exactly we see that also when the triplets start showing they caused the events also Boris forced Alexander to open the containers & in that exact moment the triplets release the chemicals out to cause the explosion

cobra22

Lupa literally says that though did yall not hear him? lmao

Prune Chips

If I were stuck in this hell-loop, you best belief Eva or Adam is going to pay for my PhD in physics.

PetersThimble

Bruh wtf are you on? you’re saying Lupa says that but throughout the reaction Roshi is explicitly asking about how Jonas got that way. I’m not even being mean - I’m literally just saying they forgot that part lmao

Prune Chips

One thing that stood out to me is that he seemed so much angrier at Ulrich than Mikkel. But in hindsight, it makes sense. At least Mikkel is kind, unlike Ulrich who kind of embodies the whole "girls like assholes" thing, if you don't know what Hannah is capable of. On a related note, I would have loved seeing small scenes with Woller in their childhood. Just Woller trying to flirt with Hannah, only to be interrupted by Mikkel doing magic tricks

SMC DOGE

When y’all think there going to post the boys

nitehikari

No, that baby was another different being that was not meant to be born, so the miscarriage happened. Not sure if you noticed but when the apocalypse happened in Eva’s world, Eva sent Elder Egon to save Hannah and send her back to the past so Silja could be born

Jamaal Ellison

Across the series, all the parents kind of let their children down, and all the children kind of hated their parents for it.

CaptainFlowers

Adam didn't win. It's pretty especially shown that his entire life within the eternal cycle has been one of misery and false assumptions again and again. He was 'right' in thinking that destroying the knot was the best way to save everything else, but literally every plan he made to do so was useless, because he was always wrong about the origin, and always repeating the loop in his actions to destroy it.

janelle

while i think dark is the most well-constructed time travel narrative i’ve seen, imo the writing itself (what the characters say to each other and the building of intimate, believable relationships between characters) falls a bit short. still, enjoyed rewatching with you guys.

Magnis

dis blows link click and summertime rendering out the water

Samuela Shannon

But he did win. He got what he wanted. No pain, no sorrow, everyone ceased to exist.

Prune Chips

One thing I never understood is why Tronte and Claudia never got together, even eventually. All the pain he caused his own family. It was clear that he loved her more than Jana. And Claudia, for her part, seems to have trusted Tronte more than anyone else. Consistently they're honest and open with eachother, so why did they choose to play games and fuck with Tronte's marriage? It never made sense to me. And before anyone brings it up, this isn't me asking why Claudia and Bernd happened/why Tronte isn't Regina's father. I understand that. My issues are with their choices after Regina was born

Raymond Terry

A great show. The best thing I've ever seen with the Netflix banner on it. I had to take few days to digest the ending and the implications. Jonas and Martha were the embodiment of desire and want and need all rolled into one. Everything they did in their own universes caused truly fucked up family trees that not even GRMM could think of. That also caused people to be in relationships that weren't truly fulfilling. Ulrich, Katherina, Hanna, Peter, Charlotte, all with the wrong partner. Generational beefs that crossed universes all because the wrong person was in the wrong place at the wrong time. And because Jonas and Martha at their current age, middle age, and elder age were making ridiculous decisions to modify history and change things. Them making the decision to cease to exist reset everything and gave Tannhaus's universe (the origin) an actual happy ending. It's an incredibly intricate TV show. Brain-frying use of time shenanigans. An immediate story hook that it bittersweet upon it's conclusion. The best actor/actress casting job ever in media (Rest in peace Simone Bär). And something that I will have to revisit because I still don't think I've grasped everything. Gotta mention again that we saw older Bartosz get sledgehammered by Hanno (younger Noah) in 2x1, and that's only something that clicked in 3x7. When I watch the season 1 limo stuff with older Noah and younger Bartosz it will be with a new understanding or appreciation for what's going on there. Thank you Sheera, Roshi, and Lupa for putting this show on my radar by reacting to it. What a 15-16 week journey this has been.

Seibahhh

bro... its been explained a thousand times. his body became like that because of the time traveling. hes done it the most out of everyone

Seibahhh

the subs are fucking horrible at times maybe thats why

Esteban Morales

After i recommended this show around 6 o 5 years ago, it was nice to finally rewatch it with you guys. Thank you for makes me relive this amazing history.

Samuela Shannon

Yall ankles got broken one more time and you guys didnt even realize. Regina and Helge are half siblings because Regina’s dad is Bernd Doppler. So Regina is Peter’s aunt. That was the picture they zoomed into at the end scene

Karabo

I have recommended it in the movie Hangout. they need to see it

Styrical

1:00:51 Waiiit, the bridge isn't closed. Come back

Websites

i agree when it comes to the building of relationships between characters. a specific moment i thought of this was when jonas tells claudia that he is done trying to stabilize the god particle/before he hangs himself. they have known eachother for over a year at this point and likely spend alot of time together so i would honestly expect some empathy out of claudia for jonas as he is clearly depressed, but we dont really see that at all. i think its mainly because they wanted to stick to being a "short" series. if it was stretched to 4 seasons we could have easily seen so much more to the story since it definitely exists, but was cut to keep things short. things like the 2050s and the early 1900s with the creation of sic mundus could have been explored way more. claudia, agnes, the unknown, jonas becoming adam, noah, elizabeth, etc, just so much unused potential. tldr: the series is too short to fully capitalize on itself.

Just_some_guy 7

Every time Roshi asked what happened to Jonas's body I was getting more and more irritated. Out of all things they get confused about, I don't know how they got confused by this when it was pretty much shown and told. Lupa even said "this is it".😭😭

Bria A.

Because love (the feeling) may not necessarily be a choice, but love (the act) and commitment are voluntary. He may have felt stronger for Claudia, but he chose to live out his life with Jana. (This is not me condoning the cheating and general mess, just answering the question lol)

ccadalin

Finally caught up to their reactions and finished the series. I hope these make their way to YouTube someday but if not I can always start from the beginning...or the end.

Matt S

It does say it outright by showing us the family photo in the origin world with Bernd, Claudia, and Regina

Buzzy Bee

What a lot of people miss is that Jonas’ Martha was never his perfect match, Alt Martha was. Which is why they see each other in the bridge. It’s sad in the end he didn’t know her like the other version of him did. They really were the perfect match. Also adding that’s why the two worlds were just endlessly suffering, they were created out of pain. The irony is that Tannhaus was successful and he’ll never know it.

Buzzy Bee

Yes! I think it’s why they looked a bit similar too. He sort of created versions of them that would then eventually go back to save them

Buzzy Bee

Now do 12 monkeys the series. Equally satisfying.

A L

I don't know if I'd call that outright. It was a subtle thing that most people don't even catch. I know that the first couple times I watched it I thought it was Egon in the photo.

Joshua

That final scene was a direct reply to Martha's question of whether or not some parts of them will live on.

Joshua

I think the plant was either taken down or wasn't built. The infinity made sure the plant existed in Bernd's time

Euphemia Isobel

It could be the same Jonas, the things in the fake worlds don't have to be logical genetic wise. Fake worlds Jonas could be a copy of origin worlds future Jonas

Asher Ealey

If…no WHEN I rewatch this show one day. Imma make sure to have a chart on the side at all times 😂. I think there are definitely parts that I probably missed or were hella confused about; and it was because I lost track of who was biologically connected to who.

Preston N

remember how adult jonas was struck by lightning on his arm when he was building the time machine in the 1920's. Im pretty sure over and over again thats how he got disfigured

Zdmn

No they literally show you in episode 7 'Between Times' how older Jonas gets his scars by working tirelessly on re-creating the the time machine. At that point they just show him get his arm injured but the show IS letting you know how Adam ends up with burns all over his body. I don't know how that isn't sufficient.

Nah, with how consistent this show is, I highly doubt they'd make illogical genetic choices like that. The Jonas we knew is Mikkel and Hannah's kid and couldn't be the same kid being born here.

The soundtrack in this is so damn goood those piano keys hitting during the last table scene of dialogue yeah.... great show. I agree it is one of if not the best time travel content.
