Oni Legend

Preciate the grind and the uploads unc. Get some rest and enjoy your weekend We don’t need one of your dreads falling out randomly in the reactions next week

PJ Rivera

Now Keyleth can access the avatar state lol

Jason Marbach

Me waiting for them to recognize Wayne Brady: 😏

Bria A.

Fun fact for Lupa: Taryon isn't a bard! He's an Artificer (inventor). I think he was the Alchemist subclass in-game, but I could be wrong.

Bria A.

To simplify it in show terms and not game terms, Keyleth can turn into animals and she can turn into elementals. (For the show, I think they're making her elemental forms the "rewards" for passing each Aramente trial.) She can't turn into magical creatures or monsters like the Kraken. And there's also generally a power limit for druid wildshape forms, too.

kai. 🩶

these episodes flying by or am i just greedy

Bria A.

Little bit of both, but lol yeah it sucks that TLOVM are all half-hour episodes compared to TMN's ~45 minutes. Though it does mean we get a few more of them, which is nice!

Jamaal Ellison

He's growing on me. He's very Varrick coded.

Jamaal Ellison

I think of all the characters that could kill in a video game. It would be her. I think she's got the most interesting video game like story.

Jamaal Ellison

By the way, thank you for dropping info about the show and characters like this. I can really feel your passion shaving through the screen when you talk about all of the lore.

Bria A.

No problem! A lot of stuff gets lost in translation between the game and the show, and I don't blame anyone for not getting into Critical Role to understand it all (it's truly a lot, I'm like 15 episodes behind on the fourth campaign lmao). Whatever I can do to make things easier to understand or explain "plot holes" that aren't quite plot holes! :) I have my ups and downs with CR, but given that it's what originally got me into D&D almost a decade ago, it really does have a special place in my heart lol.

Bria A.

He *is* Varrick coded, oh my god.

Reg

The addition of Taryon in the original table top campaign shook the players. Sam, who played Scalan decided to retire Scanlan after he died in the Raishan fight. He then kept it a secret that he would be playing a new character and surprised the whole cast randomly during a game/stream.

Adrian Locke

Roshi gotta put a critical role tag or something on this when it’s done since LoVM is the past in M9 and there’s a bunch of references to stuff in both stories since it’s sharing Exandria

Yaniko Satou

you guys should react to mouse kdrama.

Xuda Art

He actually isn't. In the original campaign it was Sam Riegel (Scanlan's VA). But in the show, it's Wayne Brady

Imari

I don’t know which format I like better tbh but with vox I have a sensation of wanted more of their dynamic after every 3 eps

Sam

They're doing a good job of condensing the story. Glad you guys are still liking it!

Wizard

You think the dreads work like sukuna’s fingers?

ViralCorgi

Taryon reminds me of that one inventor guy from Legend of Korra. Varrick I think he was called.

Clinton the Bingethinker

Was 1:48 a reference to the scene in Forrest Gump where Lt. Dan and Forrest are on the shrimp boat and are sailing through a hurricane?

ShaquanVirse

Fantastic episode, I definitely need a recap of all 3 seasons lol I was so confused on certain things

Linksenn

If I was Roshi, I’d go out of my way to not watch Mouse, specifically because you keep asking.

Co

Taryon Darington is this show's Zenitsu. Iykyk

Andre

Beggin y'all to watch Nippon Sangoku its one of the best Anime this season!

trexgod 25gaming

Sorry to put a Game recommendation on her but I would love for Roshi and Sheera if possible to play The Mass Effect trilogy if he hasn’t played it that would be sum dope streams

JustThatOtherDude

iirc, Lupa mentioned that Roshi tried ME once and it wasn't for him Too many sidequests

JustThatOtherDude

3 reactors in and nobody mentioned Dotty looking like Alphonse Elric T.T

alexis

????

Frederick

Terry is basically The Deep but useful 😂

OceanPhantom

So it took her a year to reach the water spot? 😑

OceanPhantom

Mind you we watched her fast travel for like 3 season and the actual trail was like half a day

Fijith1

Hope my goat Percy gets some action this season he needs a new gun or a new demon coming back for him to control this time

Chanceg983

The Kraken was such a hard and frustrating fight in the campaign. Percy couldn’t shoot anything under water and I think one of the pcs died

Bria A.

That's...that's how a TV show works...there was a one year timeskip and it makes no sense to show different people at different points in time when you're trying to do a catch-up montage. Would you have wanted it to happen offscreen and just not be shown at all? 😭 Also: a) time has very obviously been passing during their "fast travels" as well -- shows just don't tend to specify how much unless it's plot-relevant, and b) in-universe these Ashari strongholds are intentionally very out of the way geographically because they each have to be near their respective Elemental Planes.

OceanPhantom

You misunderstood me Ik time passed when they travel but we cut away I more so meant the literal fast travel like going through a tree or the earth. I more so meant a year is crazy for the trip they took on the boat they don’t seem to have been traveling for an entire year either but I suppose that’s possible just seems odd I’d have preferred them to address it differently in terms of her trial just seems like they have been sitting in a room like npcs waiting for us to come back to them which is not how I feel for the rest of the group I can tell they have been living off screen that’s all

Krype

Percy needs some sort of automatic weapon or something 🫩

cheezeblade

Like flower pedals. Dreadals

cheezeblade

Sheera fuckin DESTROYS me with her commentary on fantasy stuff. Its the best contrast on the channel. SHes so dry with the delivery and it always cuts through all the fantastic magical immersion im chokin on my drink whenever she says shit lol

Bria A.

I'm late on this but genuinely the explanation for the journey is that Keyleth needs to literally memorize a tree in the appropriate location to "fast travel" to it. Also, I guess it would've been nice to show their everyday life in Zephrah (which is basically all they've been doing, living in Keyleth's home city), but they're restricted by the runtime unfortunately!

Zuri Young

Petals*, but I appreciate the joke
