Damnnn spoiler caption roshi????

Drey

Thanks for changing it😂

Imari

Yeah that’s was crazy 😭

Drey

I CANNOT repeat it or it’ll ruin the entire episode for us all who wait to watch with them💀🙏🏾

Jay (ง'̀-'́)ง

I think that the people who still went outside still got shot up bc of the scene where Juliette goes outside and see all the bodies there is a flag that looks like there are bullet holes in the fabric

sol jam

Sooo in Silo 17 if you remember their head of IT solved the fail safe and then after that someone survived going out which lead to their rebellion where the head of IT had to fight trying to stop them which now we know because them going out initiated the fail safe from the outside killing them all BUT we also know that there were soldiers who stayed back because we see their bodies ganging outside after trying to get into the vault. So what if the voice stopped talking to silo 17 and without its support they didn't know how to stop their rebellion? Or even worse what if the voice did something to silo 17 system after they solved the fail safe so the voice somehow stopped the helmets from showing that fake stuff which to lead to a rebellion and without a voice it was successful?!

sol jam

I think the mines plot is going to get much much bigger. 70 years worth of critical supply is enough to move to another silo or two and the way the head of mines talk about how he keeps getting innocent people who keep dying and now we know Knox dad is alive and he invented something and he's somewhere far away from anyone reach its not that hole ? there are 50 silos how many of them are still going and how many are dead and the voice has no reach to them? I think that will be really important for the final episode and next season

Dark Shogun

So each silo has it's own drill. The drills are MASSIVE in size. I know this guy is rich but the drills alone would have cost hundreds of billions to make, and even more money in fuel and man power to run. Then you're talking about the construction cost of the silos themselves and the equipment, furniture, food, etc. No one human could pay for this. We're talking multiple TRILLIONS of dollars. This is what's been sticking in my head since I first saw this episode.

Tae

im assuming he changed it? W Roshi

Anzor Wilson

LOL I love the discussion at the end!

If the silo holds 10k people and 5k wanna go outside then who will do their job in the silo? Everybody has their job that keeps it functioning so that goes out the window when a big part of the society does not want to do their job anymore because they wanna go outside. I'm not agreeing with what the AI says and does but these methods are necessary to keep the people inside. It's not about being reasonable, it's about contradictions. Since season 1, all the people don't know why they're in the silo, it's one big jail that you have to put up with so if there even is a chance of getting out then they will take it. 'if it's fucked outside why could Juliette go outside?' 'Oh the tape? Then why can't we make more tape for everybody?' 'Why can't everybody get a good suit and tape?' If more people know about it then the focus shift to making equipment to get out instead of functioning in the silo. Which should be great but the AI doesn't want that for unknown reasons so In the grand scheme makes the forgetting drugs not the worst option because it keeps the silo functioning (if you don't count the lightbulb problem).

Dimple Trauma

Sheeran saying "I guess I'm a reasonable person" is exactly why her argument doesn't work. Unfortunately there is no reasonable method to keep thousands of ppl under control. If you let ppl go out and die you're gonna get shit for not stopping them, and if you dont let them out then you're gonna get shit for keeping them in. The majority of ppl will not believe anything they haven't seen first hand, and depending on your method of leadership even if they do witness it first hand they still might think they're being deceived in some way. It's really damned if you do damned if you dont. The easiest solution is unfortunately to keep everyone clueless so they won't even know who or what to question. You can weed out 100 bad apples easier than control 10,000 independent thinkers.

Jacob Livingston

The point the algorithm was making was that even if Juliette blocks the safeguard they can still kill everybody. So it doesn’t even matter if they block it or not. Crazy

DJ Muldrow

Y’all don’t think the Ai can mimic voices? Which it’s already doing with the senator?

Mike A

Whatever is going on with the surface they need to keep people in the dark. If you give people too much information, they'll poke and prod and test boundaries. They're not allowed to learn anything or advance technology, yet they only have enough supplies to last for X years. Eventually that will run out and they have been specifically prevented from creating the technology that will allow them to manufacture more. So there must be a time limit on whatever is happening. Is this a Horizon Zero Dawn situation where they're waiting out the apocalypse until a time when they can return to the surface?

Jacob Livingston

Sheera the first thing Juliette did before she entered back into silo 18 was a note saying it’s not safe outside. Only the outsiders still want to go outside. Most people listened to her except for Kennedy and the outsiders. They can’t just let everybody who wants to go, outside go bc Juliette knows about the tape, she would make sure they all have the good tape and make it to another silo.

Jacob Livingston

Well per stenson is the richest person in the world who also is working with the government and I would assume other billionaires to fund all of this. I do not think money is a problem at all. It’s keeping it all a secret.

Well, the design of the Silos on their own were always impossible, so building them of course is going to be a little extra on the sci-fi side. It's one of the things I knew I'd have to suspend my disbelief for. Like even with all the manpower and money in the world, building a livable space that wide and that deep (144 floors, at least 4,000 feet deep) is pretty close to physically impossible. A silo that big with that many people that deep underground would be COOKING. There's also no reliable way to get rid of the heat, as they only have the exit up top. But we just don't possess the material to be able to withstand billions of pounds of rock surrounding it

bmp

Watching this show after watching From is like night and day. People talk, we get stuff revealed, the plot moves, they still build characters. I get that From is a horror and they like making the characters dumb in horror media but it gets old fast

AnnaSama

The spiral notebook they've been looking for for 300 years has to be the one Helen is writing in. Also, Daniel's watch looks just like the one George gave Juliette.

Cool The Wrathful

Silo 1 is the control center basically to the other 50 from what we’ve seen. If their goal is to preserve humanity until the air is breathable, they have to know that it’s very unlikely that the plan will work… unless it was designed so that only one Silo has to live until the day it’s safe

Raymond Terry

Had to check the email for the original thing.

PetersThimble

Idk Im NAWT feeling Camille at all lmao

Rinely

Brilliant insight

Rah

I get Sheera’s point but Roshi gets it. Human nature is quite fickle.

Crowski

Would not complain if we got more long discussions like this (given if ya have time to). Loved it fr

bmp

Those grow lights are probably already a little sci-fied but theoretically, they should contain enough material to build some tools. I mean they got power electronics, copper, steel, wiring, probably some sort of thermal shield, possibly even fans. Could build a whole lot with that, and Knox does talk about how his dad was a good engineer, you're right that he's definitely involved. No idea what the hell they're building though. And to add to that, maybe Knox' dad being a POS is a red herring. Maybe he discovered something about the Silos and always got in trouble so he could be sent back to the mines to continue to work on whatever he's building. Maybe he's drilling to another Silo as we speak. Abandoned his family to save the world type thing. Mario Zeppeli headass

rYenis

Sheera moving way to reasonably at the end of the video lol

Atlas Creation

W end discussion. I like it when yall talk about an episode

Samsaknight X

Remember this also takes place in the future, they have more advanced tech. I honestly don’t doubt in their time that it’s possible

T

Same here

Unless I'm missing something I think one possibility for what happened with Silo 17 is that they (the system/Silo 1?) knew that the gas didn't work and also knew that Silo 17 had good tape and would survive outside, so they did send out the drones and shoot the escapees from 17. If the people of Silo 17 were savvy enough to figure out how to block the pipe that carries the gas I assume they would be savvy enough to figure out the tape thing as well. I'd also say, remember that the AI thinks in terms of probabilities. It's not about what we think would happen if someone went outside and came back in alive (for example), it's apparently about what this algorithm predicts will happen and its job seems to be to keep the likelihood of failure in the Silos as close to 0 as possible, yet if the loss of one silo ensures the continuity of the other(s) then that's within bounds. That may be what Sheera is having a bit of trouble understanding there. The logic isn't humane or empathetic. It's absolutist, autocratic, utilitarian, consequentialist. And for the most part, it works. Nothing is perfect when dealing with humans, but The Pact and all that shit does seem to successfully minimize human error, as corrupt as it is. Classic freedom vs security trope.

xLithion

I don't care what that doc says bro the sister should have had the choice of whether to erase her own memories or not. If the trauma was that bad she could say, "yea erase them and rebuild them without the bad stuff" but to force it without her consent is not ok. Also, i wonder if there is a seperate person as the ai for each silo, because how likely is it that His pez is in that same silo with his voice. To sheeras point at the end, some might use suits with the correct tape and reach other silos and infect them with their rebellious spirit, so they wipe the silo when they are deemed irredeemable and garuntee no more problems. -very end point, Nox mentioned that his dad is supposedly a brilliant engineer also, so he is probably making something dope with those lights.

Robert Smith

I'm calling cap on the gunfire. We heard gunfire but Lukas and Kennedy didn't scream? The Algorithm must've seen that they moved earlier than intended and faked the gunfire to make Juliette think they were dead.

Lamaree Jackson

Roshi yall joked in succession that one of the kids looked like a Hanks and the guy you thought was someone from succession was actually Tom Hanks son Colin

Lamaree Jackson

Oh yeah it was Tom. Yall kept calling Tom a Hanks lmao

Hybrid10Prime

Yeah, I don't think that was Kennedy. The timing was far too convenient

OnceUponABowl

reminds me when OG the 100 clarke pulled that lever on the mountain men to save her people it was a lose lose situation smh

Dell12 16

How would she even know the trauma was so bad that she could give her consent about it?

Tariq Goedar

What a season. Hope Lupa watches the episodes he missed back
