I think this might be the best episode for Azula’s character we find out, 1 she actually cares on some level about Zuko, 2 because of the environment she was raised in her social skills outside of her family environment are do do and 3 if her mother had stayed she could have been way less psychotic than she is now.

Personally, I give Zuko a little more credit with what he's going through. I like to put myself in his feet. You are the prince of a powerful nation, and your entire life you have seeked the approval and love of your father. You're a teenager, meaning you're still in phase of your life where adults are kinda teaching you whats right and wrong. There is someone in your life who is telling you one thing (which is actually the right thing) but everyone in your life, from your father and brother to the guards around you and most people from your nation are saying the opposite. Would you be able to betray your own people? I'm not sure if I could?

uh well technically he only made 1 mistake which was choosing azula over iroh but even that wasnt something i would blame him for. the boy wants his family and old life back, choosing to fight against his family isnt exactly the way to get it back so he picked azula. it was only until he got back his position when he realized that everything can no longer go back to the way they were. even i believe that ozai had moments where he behaved like a father even if they were minimal. Thats why zuko thought that perhaps if he accomplished a great feat, his father would return that love. its not even about forgiving zuko but rather i dont really blame him for choosing what he did at the time. irohs tea shop was irohs way of happiness. in a way iroh was pushign his own ideal life onto zuko even if it was peaceful and all. so at that point zuko was literally at crossroads of - does he want to settle down at a teashop for the rest of his life or return home as a hero.

Much superior than the original phrasing ehich sounded more like "youre wrong for thinking that way". They can think however they want. Uve had years to think about it. I'm not saying they "have to" change their opinion. Maybe I should have worded my post a little different. Fun fact my favorite character is Toph i'm not really a Zuko fanboy at all. I think he's an interesting character is all, and worth diving into. Maybe I should have worded it something like "I feel like it's worth looking from Zuko's perspective" but is that distinction worth calling me crazy? It's not like i'm not enjoying their reactions, even if they still roast the guy. I just find it interesting. I would recommend you trying to convey your own emotions in a more neutral fashion too. Not meant as a roast, just saying you yourself could have made the same comment without feeling the need to insult. Either way thanks for the feedback I tried to make my initial comment more neutral.

Azula doesn't actually know that Aang's alive and she isn't trying to "fold" Zuko lol. She just did it in case he was alive. It's a win-win for her. Either Aang is dead and Zuko gets the credit which isn't a big issue. Or Aang's alive and she isn't blamed for it. She can't be sure either way though she probably suspects that he's alive.
