Take a shot every time lupa says hot cop

Rossi1164

A little fun fact is that Aunt Wu was wrong in ATLA. She predicted that Katara would " have a third grandchild be born before passing away in your sleep" Well now tenzin and Pama have 4 kids and she's still alive.

Roku

Ik this comment is years old but I just wanna say.. Korra at the age of 4 was seen bending water, fire, and earth already and it took her 13 more years to master them. Similarly to Aang, she was born a prodigy. The reason it took her so long to learn air bending was because the element was the complete opposite of her personality but, throughout book 1 we see her learn how to move like an airbender and visually get better at her training with Tenzin. So idk how in the moment of complete and utter desperation, it's hard to believe that's when she finally unlocked it. Also, it didn't take him forever but 1 year for our boy Aang to master the other 3 elements and master the avatar state.

Luke Watson

We still don't know if she was right. She's alive, but she never had any great grandchildren yet. Just 4 grandchildren

Lady Jie

If only we could jump like 2 weeks into the future. I’m really looking forward to watching your guy’s reaction to that set of episodes.

Namjin

Can’t wait for season 3 lmao

Kamau Catching

People like to pretend that the beginning of the season sucks but if you understand the emotions and the depth of the 1st season coupled with water tribe and team avatar drama the first six episodes they are very good especially the sixth. I will admit the first two episodes are slower than the rest of Korra but I love the development of Korra struggling to be a fully-realized avatar who has already defeated a villain who still gets handled like she's a kid for some reason. That would be infuriating for anyone and even in Korras b*tch moments she literally apologizes like the same episode so I don't understand why people don't give her a pass. And the civil war episodes have great themes about unconditional love and the struggles we all know of being a part of a family unit. But if one doesnt understand or care ab the characters ofyou may not love the depth of it but while I'm in the minority I love this part of Korra. Love the 3 episode drops ur doing thanks alot!!

Hollow

She is definitely not a fully realized avatar lmao, being one you need to be a master of not only the 4 elements, but also of your avatar state. She’s still learning

RiaDara

The thing about this season for me isn't about the losing of character development or all that kind of shit, but I believe they really could have done a better job at showing that or making these developments from season 1 more obvious. I won't go into specifics cause I could spoil the entire season with Korra's decisions and all that jazz. But, I completely agree with your evaluation.

Devin B

Fun fact for people that have watched Parks and Rec: the northern water tribe girl that Bolin was hitting on was voiced by April.

User100

Varrick is voiced by John Michael Higgins who's the host of America Says!

Shamar

How does she even know how to use the avatar state at anytime?

Shai Jadaka Ture

Sure Hollow TECHNICALLY you are right she's still learning. The same way that Aang was still learning all the elements and how to control the Avatar state in finale of ALTA... And yet the last episode of ATLA was called "Avatar Aang" for a reason. Of course Aang still learning but that was a pivotal turning point and really when he became "Avatar Aang". Korra is learning obviously but after defeating Amon, making connection with her Avatar spirit and selflessly serving the people of Republic City (the the world) and becoming their Avatar is the moment where Korra became "Avatar Korra". If u don't like the term fully realized ok but obviously she is a proven Avatar and this point and the other characters still trying to police her and tell her what to do would be frustrating to anyone. That's my point.

Shai Jadaka Ture

I think that's fair criticism Riadara. I can see that point but I don't know about you one of the reasons I think that more adult shows are overrated is because everything essentially has to be spelled out. I love subtleties in shows that you can reasonable extrapolate from and ATLA and Korra have alot. But there are a few moments in Korra I think could have been better fleshed-out. I just think because Korra is after ALTA and the protagonist is a teenage girl you get kind of nit-picky criticisms of the show. I mean she's constantly called over emotional online and I don't think understand how ppl come to that conclusion if they understand the depth of her struggles and how they would feel.

Oui Oui

Bumi, Kya, Tenzin. Bumi is the oldest and Tenzin is the youngest

Rcl

Varick is based off of Howard Hughes.

Rachel Kim

Yeah people overexaggerate Korra's behavior during this first arc. She's feeling frustration over a lot of different things and her personality causes her to not handle it well. But like you said, she apologizes every episode. People always seem to overlook that.

Lalisa Truong

I can understand if people didn't like Korra's attitude but at the same time, it's not like she's acting pissy for nothing. She's dealing with a lot of frustration and having one bad revelation after another wasn't going to help. First half of this arc has Korra feeling like everyone and the world is against her and that's pretty fitting imo with what's happening, both in her personal and professional life.

Anonymous

Because when aang gave her her bending back she got in touch with her avatar spirit

Bona Fide

the discussion at the end makes me want to rewatch your Avatar reactions lmfao

LK

Tenzin: "I am NOT sensitive" oh tenzin

Stuart Hanmore

And to cap everything off, the creators never knew if they were going to get a new season after season one so it made it hard to get things to flow from season to season while also having a definitive enough ending each season in case the show had ended there

Joel Braaten

I never watched past Book 1, so this is the first time I'm going in blind to what you're reacting to lol.

Isiah Thomas

seen every season except for this one and honestly, I'm glad i didnt because i get to see it with some cool peeps lol. Love the content

kurumi Tokisaki

Bumi acts childish because he had to fight for aangs attention.

FragZone

HOT COP! Lmao Lupa san straight coming up with freakin' genius movie ideas! Someone get on that right now loool

Shawn Nguyen

people use electricity. spirit: fuck yall

Davon Thomas

Dont have to mention it the show tells them in this season why they all act a certain way

Rachel Kim

First half of Book 2 is a bit tough to watch through but the second half makes up for it (especially next week's two parter). Book 3 is really solid and is generally considered the best season. Book 4 is pretty good too. My favorite is still Book 1 though, I just love the villain and general atmosphere.

Jimmy Martin

My biggest problem with Korra is how much of a whiny kid she is. Like you know you got a lot to be learning from all, as she got repeatedly folded in Book 1 until finally its "Oh that's what you were saying, I think I'll listen now. I'm sick of getting washed constantly."😂😂😂😂

Anonymous

The only reason she is like this is the writers threw out her development for book 2 because they already ended the show. If you know what I'm talking about, korra and her less than desirable behavior is more tolerable in book 2. She DID develop in book 1, but they erased it since they already ended the show, thanks to Nickelodeon. Every time she got washed, there was a circumstance that made the fight unfair, without which she would have won easily. So her losing has nothing to do with her skill.

CRuEL_WOrlD

U do understand she was in solitary for 16 years nd all she was taught was fighting. Now ppl keep telling her to do shit of course its gonna piss her off. Aang was 12 nd still everyone believed in him nd respect his opinion at all times unlike korra. Avatar is supposed to travel the world nd find there own ninja way😤

CRuEL_WOrlD

Ppl fail to understand korra so much so i will try to break it down as much as i can. First things first, she was lied to by her father nd all the white lotus ppl tht its was aang’s orders to keep her in solitary for 16 years so of course she will be mad. All her life she was taught to fight so she became a hotheaded person who tries to solve everything through fighting. The nickelodeon ppl were very sexist about korra so writers had a hard time flourishing her character.

Fooni

yeah but you'd think she would've learned her lesson after season 1. She acts like a 5 year old.

Frank Bal

People believed in aang because even being the last survivor of an entire race he didn’t become a whiny lil bitch about it, he mastered the elements, beat the fire lord with his own path, and restored balance to the world, meanwhile Korra did nothing but dunk a bunch of Jinoras alley oops

Frank Bal

These guys are reacting experts I’m pretty sure they don’t need help understanding her, she just isn’t as likeable as most other character in the avatar universe idk how y’all can’t see that lol

CRuEL_WOrlD

@Frank bal bruh....aang was assisted in literally every single fight except his last battle wit Ozai😒. Nd imo aang was more of a whiny brat who neglect the war nd just wanted to fk around while ppl were dying nd suffering in the WAR. Yes he grew to accept his responsibilities but dat doesn’t mean u get to downplay korra for her achievements. If u dnt like her then its just as simple as dat but saying she was helped nd never achieved anything is ignorant af.🤦🏼‍♂️

CRuEL_WOrlD

Reaction experts? Is there even such a thing as reaction experts!? They are just ppl watching the show just like anyone else would, the only diff is tht they put there opinion in front of a broad audience. Korra is pretty likeable imo but dats just me. If u hate a character u just dnt like em. Im the same with noelle from BC, i dnt like her no matter what anyone says so i get where u r coming from.

Michael McCarthy

So what you're sayin is BS reasons. I think everything about that was BS. Her randomly learning airbending the minute she loses her other bending abilities. I could see if that opened her up to being able to learning airbending, but to just automatically do it that's a stretch. On top of that Aang was a master air bender and was super spiritual and it took him forever to master the Avatar state. It's really just to save them half a season of Korra having to learn how to master the Avatar state.

Nicholas Staker

I can understand the dislike for this season as a whole, because of the drama aspect of some things. But I've honestly never understood why this season gets so much hate or just this show in general. I remember watching Avatar when it first came out and have always loved it, I was in high school when Legend of Korra came out and loved it too. There are issues in both shows but just because I have an issue with a couple aspects of the show or even just a particular season ive never let it change how I feel about everything as a whole. Just my personal perspective, please don't attack me lol.

Nicholas Staker

@Frank Bal I just want to point out that Aang had not mastered all four of the elements when he faced Ozai. He'd only begun his Firebending for maybe a week tops? Toph herself states his earthbending needs more work as well(part 1 of Sozin's Comet). Katara doesn't say anything in that moment, so you could take that as the show saying he had mastered waterbending. Though she does say he has the reflexes of a waterbending master(S2E9).

asikiller89

I think mako is really trying but korra is just a bitch in this episode^^

asikiller89

i loved the design of the spirits in last airbender more, i kinda don't like the spirits in this. especally that they are impervious to bending feels weird. P.S.: The Nights at the South Pole are kinda cold, of course aang got multiple children ;D.

rickie woodson

his personality is EVERYTHING. this is when bolin became my side piece, varrick stole my heart

David Emerson

Im starting to think King Boomy hit Katara one time because that is the only explanation for Aangs other son lol
