Spoilers for some people not caught up-> but despite Suyin "having it made" she got betrayed constantly by her people: her trusted advisor, Kuvira, a few of the metal benders, and even her son! While Lin never got betrayed by her guys on the force. Mako didn't even quit when he was officially positioned as Prince Wu's bodyguard. Not one betrayal, and thinking when she risked her life to save her guys while losing her bending gave her mad respect—just a thought.

Zaheer is just a prodigy plus he was an amazing fighter before bending and he wasn’t lying when he said he admired the culture remember when he broke out of prison he talked about the same guru as who wrote the poem that’s why he’s nasty you’ll see the difference between a prodigy and a true master currently he’s only fought the other elements and air is broken af especially in its versatility so yeah that’s why he’s a problem

i wouldn't say he's a prodigy. you can tell that for years he's studied airbending culture and probably based his martial arts skills around airbending techniques, like how aang was a problem to fight with even when he wasn't using his bending.

I beleive zaheer was suppose to be an airbender like the rest of the new airbenders. It was in his spirit to learn everything about it. If the portals were opened long ago; then i believe he wouldve tooken a better path.

Zaheer's elite martial arts and 13 years of studying/training in prison translated very well into his airbending but hes not a traditional master as he doesnt use the spiral movements as much. He uses more force and agility than grace and redirection.

Damn I didn't remember relationships happening so fast in this show. We just met Opal in this episode. And yeah Team Gaang didn't seem to age well as some would've hoped but for different justifications. Aang's favouritism of Tenzin leading to the sibling bitterness, Katara growing old thinking she didn't do enough to hold the kids together, Sokka who knows, and Toph was a neglectful mother thinking she was giving her kids the freedom she didn't have. Zuko's the only one who didn't seem to mess up which is ironic.

Zuko is probably the one who didnt mess up because he already dealt with a dysfunctional family. A horrible, abusive father, a horrible evil sister, his mom was missing, etc. So he already faced hell throughout his life. So I'm certain he made sure not to repeat that same toxic cycle of family members being trash.
