Kaydin

YES ITS HERE!!

Rahy

Yooooooo!!!

devin billups

Y'all should really watch the Land vs Air OVAs. It goes over Nekoma's tournament perspective and some of the characters in those OVAs are in the 4th season

Zakki

I've been reloading the page for the past hour waiting for this lol

Zakki

Roshi already said in the comments that they're gonna watch it! 🙌

Anonymous

THIS IS IT BABYYYYYY

cassherms

Hell yeah!!!!!!!!!! Road to season 4!!!!!!! One of the most hyped matches in the books! TSUKKI MVP!!!

Alain

Has anyone warned them about the style change and animation decline we're about to go through with this show?

Anonymous

me after making a good comment on the previous reaction: This is gonna be the top comment

Anonymous

me after watching this reaction: Clapped in the comments...

rrayzy

THERE'S TWO OVA'S. THEY BOTH OCCUR BEFORE THE SEASON4. ENJOYY

Anonymous

Curious to see how they will rank this anime among all the others they have watched

Bryan

The National Youth Training Camp is basically a camp where scouts call up the best of the best in Japan and have like a training camp.

Joker500

Lmao Lupa completely misunderstood what Ushijima meant when he said "I will defeat you next time" dude said what a prick, get this man some help.

Justin

Wait does anyone know if anymore episodes are coming out tonight. I hope so

Jjj.

Btw, a while ago shiratorizawa's coach said something like "if you lose you'll walk back to school", then a 3rd year confirmed that it has happened before and the coach actually does that shit. But at the end, when they lost the coach tells them to get on the bus... so it is a fucked up way of aknowledge that they played great and that there was nothing to complain about.

DogBless

damn yall timed this perfectly to go straight into OVAs then S4 right when S4 wraps up

Just Some Guy with a Mustache

If you guys are gonna watch the OVAs, I'm gonna tell you this now to clear up any confusion. Nationals are taking place in Tokyo. All the schools you will see are in the same Prefectures as Tokyo. So they get a few more privileges. I said, they get a FEW MORE privileges.

CuteAdorableDog

the final rallies in haikyuu matches are always epic and always focus on one major part of the characters developement

Devin B

No lie when I saw the animation of Ushijima holding everyone in Karasuno down, that's how I imagined it would be if they actually got into a fight, just them struggling against Ushijima.

botanbutton

"THE BIRDS" 😂😂😂 I couldn't have asked for a better reaction to that! Hmm, now I feel bad for not watching the OVAs but I am not at all curious about what Nekoma and Fukurodani did. lol

Robinson

We smoking that shiratorizawa pack😈🔥

Valhalla

Well that’s a shame cause them OVA’s were really good!! And it helped a lot of building that character development for other teams, that’s what I love bout haikyu is not only bout the karasuno gang even tho they are the MC’s of the story 🤷🏽‍♂️

Cablemonkey

This totally confused me when i watched the OVAs until I saw someone explain on Reddit. I think we may have to explain how the picks work after they watch the OVAs.

zanderbander

did anyone else see that BASKETBALL in the karasuno BASKETBALL gym? I never thought I'd see the day

Indiah

Kageyama will be training at the national youth Japan team for a few days/weeks

MrNoor114

here they are already deciding to watch the haikyu ova's. Me still waiting for the konosuba movie.

Bobby Hanson

The end scene about Kageyama training is basically an invite to try out for the Japan Youth team (with the intention to play for Japan in the future)

Cori Curry

This was my favorite reaction 🤣 Lupa waiting for the birds had me so dead and the reaction was so hype :D

Devin B

333cm is translated to roughly 10ft 11in and a basketball hoop is 10 feet high so Hinata is definitely dunking at only 5'3-5'4

Jay rellim

wow i feel like yall dont understand shiratorizawa's coach lol

maurizio piras

oh god now that awful season 4.....yikes

Bob

The show kinda lost me when Karasuno won this. Anyone who played high school sports knows the dudes who are meant for pros wash people single-handedly

Nolli Dee

Yeah all of you people saying S4’s animation is bad are so far wrong lmao. Its a different studio with different artists the animation wont be the same, but to call this new animation bad is plain stupid. Season 4 has some of the best animation in this entire show. People just wanted to nitpick because it took so long for season 4.

Nolli Dee

Don’t rain down hate on something you were already biased towards. I bet all of you who say its bad were hella salty it took so long, so you wanna nitpick. If you actually do a side by side view, season 4 is superior in animations. They’re getting close to being the most fluent animation you can do with 2D. Just as long as haikyuu never trys to mix in any of that videogame CGI 3D smooth animation bullcrap, we’ll be aight. Stop complaining about the animations, we are lucky to have gotten a season 4 at all.

yasmina C

i love the leveling up we get in season 4 :D can't wait for u to see

Sanctus

As much as I love haikyuu, i cant ignore your comment. While yes you can appreciate season 4's animation you simply cannot ignore that it is inferior to S1-S3. Its not just the "moments" im talking about it here, im talking about everything else in the show. Simply walking, and all the "mundane" or simple movements in Season 4 are just very choppy and poorly animated compared to the other seasons. There are alot of moments replaced by stills as well. And in the previous seasons there was alot more motion in the scenes. Like when receiving, you could see the follow through in animation, the movement after. This goes for the blocking in the show too. Dont let your love for a series blind you from giving constructive criticism. That being said, i still did love S4.

Fooni

Totally disagree. Plenty of powerhouse teams get upset every year. Especially if the team had young players who have the potential to be high caliber as well like Kageyama, or an x-factor like Hinata

Fooni

Season 4 is gonna blow yall away

Ben2730

idk what u smoking there buddy but the final match in s4 was intense af and their opponent was lit aswell lets not cry too much aite

Alejandro Pupo

Holy shit I was crying like a little punk bitch rewatching this shit... Holy fuck this show is so fucking good

Nolli Dee

After reading and having certain things pointed out to me. I’d like to redact my previous comments and state that, “I’d have to agree with Chibble.” They put it across better then I ever could. So to reword what I meant. IMO S4’s animation carried hard. All the regular Haikyuu elements that we know and love were there, but the fact they matched the manga to the extent they did when it matters most is what counts. (Animation wise) Don’t get me wrong you’re absolutely right about all the small detail animations that made seasons 1-3 the gorgeous masterpiece they are, BUT that framework is what makes S4 superior, the build up into the nationals combo’d with the animation during the sets is what makes S4 superior. The payoff is WAAYY outweighing any “sloppy animations” season 4 has, and overshadows how beautiful S1-3 are because I think overall the entirety of haikyuu is a masterpiece, ESPECIALLY after seeing how they did season 4. One thing both of the animation teams got right is the “Icing on the Cake”. No matter how bad people thought the animation was or where you left off in an episode/season you were hype for whats next regardless. **Sorry to lash out childishly towards people saying S4 animation was trash**

Staus

Unfortunately there were personel changes for S4 of Haikyuu, one of which was the director stepping down and some other people so unfortunately we won't get to see the same crisp and clean artstyle/animation, HOWEVER, Haikyuu is still a masterpiece, these guys are in for a hell of a ride. (Regarding the post credit scene with Kageyama, the National Youth Intensive training camp is basically a training camp to find candidates for the national youth team)

sim

bunch of idiotsin the commentsacting like szn 4 animation is bad when the only thing thats different it theres not as much crazy dynamic camera movements because of there being a new director, looool they still have undoubtibly one of the strongest anime staffs, the fact that there has been 2 outsourced episodes in 4 seasons is insane lmfao

sim

idiots think the new art style = bad animation LMFAO welcome to people who think they know things, at the start of season 4 it was wow the art is trash!!! later found out that it was just going 1:1 with the manga art they then switched to omg its the animation thats horrible!! hahahaha

J. J.

Simp, stop defending mediocrity, just because you're ok with half assed effort doesn't mean everyone else is.

J. J.

This is peak Haikyuu, S4 kills the momentum hard.

Medunuuu

Why does Sheera keep talking about Shiratorizawa underestimating their opponents? They’ve gone to nationals 3 years in a row, of course they won’t believe they’d lose, a team should never believe that anyways. On top of that, they were playing their all from the beginning, so it’s not like they were holding back against Karasuno either

amberrr

i know, they never underestimated karasuno. never even held back from them.

Stanley Labissiere

Jesus why are yall such debbie downers on season 4 of the anime? Let them enjoy the show without you guys shitting on it

Anonymous

We're not shitting on it, we're just setting expectations because S1-3 have been consistent in art and animation, of course it'll throw watchers off. The art is still great for the most part, but the animation takes a dip in quality in a lot of moments and it's better to let them know than be disappointed.

Baki Baki ni ore, Nani wo? Kokoro wo da yo〜 Konagona ni kudake, Nani wo? Seishin wo da yo〜 Tendou Satori, Haikyuu

Mten10th

I've never seen anybody as happy as Lupa was when the birds showed up.

Yall Might

I don't think s4 is bad but I definitely enjoyed Aoba Johsai and Shiratorizawa more as opponents. They had 2 seasons-worth of build up with Oikawa and 3 seasons-worth of building up Shiratorizawa as an absolute powerhouse of a school. That build up paid off in season 3, but it also naturally made me feel as if they played the best of the best with the season 4 antagonists not having any long-lasting tension or plotlines. That coupled with some animation time and budget cuts only exacerbates it. But that said the character development for our crows is still FANTASTIC and absolutely shouldn't be scoffed at.

mina

when you realize the main reason the art style changes in s4 is because one of the lead animators drew porn of kageyama and oikawa and put it online lol

Anonymous

S4 WAS INCREDIBLE!! CANNOT WAIT

Anonymous

Joined Patreon for the first time to watch you all react to this. SO hype for your reaction to the next season

Josephine Rodriguez

I don't think he meant 'I will defeat you next time' to be a prick, I felt like it was more of an acknowledgement of a worthy opponent. *shrugs* I can be wrong though.

lhh

you’re right cause he’s a 3rd year so the only way they go up against each other again is if/when they go pro

Anonymous

The youth national team is basically jr. Olympians

J M

Can't believe how depressing some of you mfs in the comments are, yeah maybe S4 part 1 wasn't necessarily "insanely amazing" but you need to have a break from constant matches plus it sets up S4 part 2 which literally has the best game we've seen so far. The animation does have some dips and the art does change, but it's still the same great show. I wasn't keen on the art at the beginning of S4 but it grew on me

Bachira

If you noticed, Kageyama was the only one who didn't feel the pressure of Ushiwaka on him in that last play because he's also a genius player who's as talented as Ushiwaka is (but he's a first year and Ushiwaka is a third year which is why there's still a large skill disparity), and he was also the reason why they were able to counter the play where he hit a cross to dodge the block.

Kanta

animation took a massive hit there's no point in sugarcoating that cause you know roshi and Lupa won't. However I also think you make an excellent point, even if it really is up to opinion, S4 pt 2 has the best gameplay we've seen yet. I'm excited for it regardless of the people who just want something to complain about in quarantine.

Ben2730

chill kiddo everyone is allowed to have their own opinion dont force yours

Mr. Toastman

Season 4 literally has, imo, some some of the best episodes in the entire series.

Reign

Lupa knows the difference between international and national right. XD

snailtale

I absolutely love how their opinion on Tsukii drastically changed over the season! Best character development in the show

Viicsta

"WHERE'S THE BIRDS" HAHAHAHAHA LMAOO

FictionalAlarm

I love the animation so much in the first 3 seasons! Then... it goes to dog doo, especially in the last half of season 4. Hopefully, season 5 is a return to form.
