It's definitely an interesting concept. We as the viewers see the parasites as a threat because they're killing other humans but really is just their nature. Animals kill other animals every day. Sharks, bears, tigers, dogs, lions, etc but we don't wipe out the whole species. At the end of the day we as humans are just another animal living on earth living life. We may be the superior species but that doesn't really give us the right to play judge, jury and excutioner.

Lmao, man literally said "does an organism deserve to die just because it's harmful" and then ironically the humans watching the show act as though the answer is an obvious "yes" despite the fact that by all definitions we are a harmful organism to others, so we would then deserve to die if that was the case, but we wouldn't say that we deserve to die since we only apply those values to non-human lives generally. One of the main reasons I love reactions to this show is that usually the reactions themselves serve to further solidify the points of the show.

I mean part of the interesting thing is that there were so many human based ways to destroy Gotou. We were thinking ah he'll burn all the trash they've been dumping and that'll kill him. Turns out all it took was one small piece of wood with toxic man made chemicals on it. This show has really done a good job showing how humans are the true parasites. We position ourselves and our morality and our lives above everything else. Even as we destroy the planet, kill countless humans and non-human animals. The only reason we view the parasites actions as bad is because we're humans and we're interested in self preservation. But the parasites and human politician were legit out to save the world and other species from humans. Which considering all our nuclear weapons, chemical weapons and host of ways we have been messing up the planet and every other living thing in it, well can we really blame them?

Uhh, was it ever confirmed that ALL the parasytes in existence were wiped out in the police raid? Or are they assuming that? I don't remember ever hearing that all the parasytes had gathered.

Dune

They said it in the show i believe but probably on the basis that parasyte's weren't openly killing anymore.

The parasytes weren't out to save the world. We know damn well all of them are instinctively driven to kill humanity and any excuse beyond that is just a moral justification for doing what they'd do anyway. They're nothing but animals following their instincts, the same as humanity following their instincts to survive and expand. It's the same as how Shinichi almost let him go because of human morality, then he realized that humanity really is just another animal and forgiving one creature for following their instinct is hypocritical if he's going to ignore his own survival instinct. It just boiled down to two species fighting to be dominate over the other and humanity winning.
